About: I have been pet sitting for the a couple years, caring for both dogs and cats in a variety of settings. About: I grew up with dogs and have had at least one of my own for the last 20 years. They truly are the best friends! We have a sweet 3-year old rescue poodle mix, Mimi, who does really well with other dogs. We'd love to have your dog or cat stay with us and join in our walks and hikes and cuddles! I have had a reactive/leash reactive dog and as much as I know they can be the sweetest pups when on their own, I can't take on these dogs anymore. It creates too much anxiety for me. I live on a street where there is a constant flow of neighbor dogs both on and off leash and the trails are packed with dogs these days so it's a guarantee we will meet other dogs while we are out and about. I work from home and love to get outside and explore the beautiful trails around Bellingham. When not out sniffing the trails me and your pet will be snuggled up relaxing together. There is a fence area for visiting pets to relieve themselves (it includes about 10 stairs). I love to hike and walk and will make sure your pet gets all the movement they need. I love to snuggle too so when not out and about you can rest assured that your pet is getting lots of love and cuddles.

We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. I’ve spent my summers watching friends dogs and cats while they go on vacations, I regularly check on peoples pets during the day when needed and I’ve participated in many sleepovers with my neighbors dogs throughout high school while they were out of town. The following is a schedule of my open availability: Monday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Tuesday: 6:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Wednesday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Thursday: 6:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Friday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Saturday: 6:00am-10:00pm Sunday: 6:00am-10:00pm As a pre-note, I wanted to say that I have an official work resume with references if you would like to see that before we meet in person. Dog Walking I do not have any supplies of my own however I have used many different types of leash and harness in the past. I am physically able and comfortable walking long or short distances at varying paces. On longer walks, I will carry water and dog bags with my the entire time. Pet Sitting I will maintain your pets schedule and follow any guidelines of being in your space. I do not offer dog sitting in my home as I live in a building with three other people, I would be more than happy to watch your dog in your home. I am open to meeting your dog with you there before the official sitting date as I know some dogs are sensitive to new people. I am comfortable feeding and entertaining your pup as I have been around dogs my entire life. I will also be aware of any emergency contact information that would be necessary in an emergency. House Sitting I will ensure the home is secure, and perform basic tasks like collecting mail, watering plants, and maintaining cleanliness. I understand that I will be in your space and am open to following any rules you might have for your home.
About: I love animals and have always had a pet in my home. I have pet-sat for neighbors and friends for many years and am good at following instructions and a schedule. I am happy to abide by your training techniques and will ensure your pet is enjoying our time together. I work full-time but have mid-week days off, so I am happy to hang with your pets while you are off at work or away! I can come by on my way to/from work as well. I will respect your space and privacy while working with your pets. I will never leave you with a mess and will work with you to develop a plan.

These days, I have a dog of my own plus my partner's two dogs, (we all live here) so our house is always full of happy pups! My experience includes: • Experienced Rover doggy daycare provider • Experienced dog sitter outside of Rover • Raised in a hobby farm in WI • Caring for diabetic dogs that require strict feeding schedules and medication administration • Following detailed care instructions, dietary restrictions, and medication routines with great attention to detail My own dog has taught me a lot about allergies, sensitivities, and special care needs, so I understand how important it is to trust someone who will take your pet's unique requirements seriously. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care and are treated like part of the family. I work from home and have a fully (high) fenced backyard. I know how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet with someone else, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and affection that I give my own. “Leslie was wonderful with my 4 year old lab mix, Scarlett. My dog can be a little shy at first, but a couple of day care visits before my fishing trip seemed to help her become comfortable quickly. Scarlett seemed to have a great time. Playing and dogging with her new friends. She also formed quite the bond with Leslie! She was ecstatic to see her when we ran into each other at the dog parl! Him and his family took such great care of my boys, and put my mind completely at ease while I was out of town for Christmas.
