It's only natural to think that no one will care for our pet like we do. After making a preliminary visit to Charlie's place, it was obvious that he has a lot of experience and insight with dog needs and behavior. Our dog is a high energy, high drive four year old that is used to running our acreage and getting a lot of exercise. While she rules the forest animals, she can be submissive and intimidated by other strong dogs. We were concerned about leaving her with multiple other dogs. Charlie introduced the other dogs slowly so that it wouldn't be overwhelming and took the time to observe her comfort level, waiting until she was ready to meet the others. Charlie takes the dogs on hikes around his property multiple times a day as well as bringing them out to play with the other dogs or chase balls. Charlie also sent photos and videos to keep us updated and show what a good time our dog was having. He also managed the special dietary needs for our dog while she stayed there. We will definitely bring our dog back to stay with Charlie.”

About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 6 year old golden retriever and a 3 year old Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing your dog will be treated as part of the family and monitored for safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. I was the dog-walking coordinator for a dog rescue and a dog-walking volunteer for a public shelter for years. I actually grew up afraid of dogs and it was a big deal for me to start volunteering to walk strange dogs; it helped build my confidence, and I was -- and still am -- very attuned to what's going on with the creature at the other end of the leash. I believe every dog has unique needs and temperament and honor these while they're in my care to ensure they feel as secure and safe as possible. DOG SITTING AND BOARDING: I work from home, so your dog will get lots of attention and potty breaks. Your dog is welcome to join me on the couch or lie at my feet for regular pets, or chill in another room in or out of a crate. Whatever will make your dog feel most at ease while you're away. I recently lost my own 15-year-old dog, so your pup will be my sole focus (and will get lots of love and care). I have a fully fenced yard at my home for potty breaks (separate from walks/hikes). If you don't have a fully fenced yard at your home, it's no problem to take your dog for leashed potty walks as frequently as necessary.

About: Growing up, my family always had cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and more. Being around animals is nothing new to me and is a huge part of why I have a huge heart for animals now. After a walk with your pet, I will make sure your pet has water and place them back where they were before I took them on our walk. I will of course make sure they get their energy out with toys, give them a ton of pets, and make sure they go potty on our walk as well. I do have a large yard, and it is newly fenced! I live far away from the main road and do not have many neighbors.

About: We are a married couple that work from home and have a friendly 6 year old golden retriever and a 3 year old Collie Mix. We have decided to host one dog (family) at a time. We are home bodies and our pups love having company. When you book with us feel safe knowing your dog will be treated as part of the family and monitored for safety. We both grew up with family dogs and other pets and we understand the scary feeling of boarding your dog. We are happy to meet and answer any questions before taking in your dog. We will update you daily (at a minimum) of how they are doing, including sending pictures of course. As mentioned, we work from home. Our schedules are very flexible. When we book a stay we plan on staying home and playing with the dogs. We have a fully fenced backyard where our pups love to roam and play. Your dog will be part of the family and free to roam the house and yard as they please.
