“Nancy and her son took great care of Bruce when he came to stay with them. Bruce had such a great time as was obvious in the photos we received and how comfortable he was when we came to pick him up. After an initial confusion at drop off, Nancy quickly clarified and reassured me of the plans and following that Bruce just had the best time.”

“Stephanie took wonderful care of our Chihuahua, Ms Hazel Nut Mutt Face (aka Hazel) while we were visiting family in the area. I was a little apprehensive about leaving our pup with someone we hadn't met before, but as soon as we met Stephanie and saw how kind, gentle, and caring she was, I immediately felt at ease. She kept us updated throughout our pup's stay with frequent communication and adorable photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We were so pleased with the care she provided that we'll definitely be booking with Stephanie again whenever we visit family in the area. I highly recommend her!”

“Sadie was sooo wonderful!! She was extremely accommodating for a last minute booking. She provided updates throughout the day and my baby looked so happy and comfortable, so much that when I went to pick him up, he was happy with staying there to play more! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my boy!!”

“Hope took great care of my two doggies and was very receptive to both of their very different individualized needs. She kept in contact with me each day and was very kind.”

“We had a great experience with Desiree. Our husky Kona stayed with her for a couple days and was absolutely exhausted from all the fun! Desiree sent us daily photos of our dog and was very flexible with our pickup/ drop off timing.”

“Carrie was very flexible when I had a family situation and had to modify my time request. She sent photos of the dogs and reached out when she was concerned about them not eating. When I arrived for pick up, she had everything ready for me. I will definitely use her services again and would highly recommend her.”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Deirdre. She is warm and compassionate! She is the kind of person who instantly renews your faith in humanity. She is a true animal lover in every sense of the word, and her connection with animals particularly, our senior girl was immediate and deeply reassuring. Caring for an older dog requires patience and experience. She was especially skilled with seniors, thoughtful about our dog’s needs, and communicated with us clearly which gave us complete peace of mind. Because of her, our family was able to enjoy a ski trip and spend meaningful time together, knowing our dog was not just watched, but truly cared for overnight. We cannot recommend Deirdre highly enough. She goes far beyond “pet sitting” — she provides loving, trustworthy care, and we are profoundly grateful to have met her.”

“We have a very anxious 12 year old black lab dog and going away is always a problem. We had a very pleasant experience with Alexandria. Her patience and personal attention was just what our dog needed. We recently went away for a week and Grace had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Alexandria's services.”

“Inge was awesome. Rosie had never been away from me for more than 8-10 hours and spent 4 days with Inge, and after a bit of misbehaving early due to separation anxiety, she settled right in. I spent my vacation at ease knowing she was in great hands with Inge, as she provided me daily updates and pics. I will definitely book Inge again for any future dog sitting needs.”

“A Big Shout Out to Brittney for taking care of our Finley for his first weekend away from home. We were a little nervous since our dog has some separation issues. But she kept us updated through text and photos and he looked like he had a great time with her and her cutie dog Pierre. Dogs got along well and our boy looked relaxed which in turn let us know we made the right choice when picking Brittney. We will definitely call her again for future help.. Thanks Brittney!!!”

“Mikaela was really great! She was gracious to watch our pup while we attended a wedding nearby and was extremely communicative leading up and throughout his stay! We would absolutely book with Mikaela again.”

“Laura and Tyler were great with my dog! He has pretty bad separation anxiety which makes it very difficult to leave him new places. Laura was awesome about introducing her dogs one by one and letting him get accustomed to her dogs and her home. She tried different areas to see where he would be most comfortable and really put time and effort into getting him to relax and be comfortable. She kept me up to date and make me feel a lot better about where he was and how he was doing. I would definitely use them again when we're in the Adirondacks!”
“Elizabeth was amazing! She was extremely communicative and made me feel confident that my dog was being well cared for. She was also extremely accommodating as we came into town last minute and had some changing plans. My pup had an amazing week and it showed. Highly recommend Elizabeth for any dog care needs!”

“Andrea was wonderful with our dog Denali. We feel so fortunate to have connected with her for our trip to Lake George. She was flexible with us when we hit unavoidable travel delays and had to meet up later than expected and at a different location. She communicated with us by text when something worried her (very reassuring!) She sent us happy dog pictures. And Denali was so happy when we picked her up. We will definitely use her again when we’re back in the area!”

About: Not everyone understands the unique and individualistic needs of our feline friends. I have always appreciated and loved their clear boundaries and ability to communicate just how much "people time" they want. I'm adept at reading their needs and able to provide them with just the right amount of attention even if it means just being in the same room with them and vibing from afar.

“Tara was great with our cats. She made sure that they had everything they needed, while respecting their shy natures. Tara was also extremely communicative, thorough, and responsible. It was a great relief to know that Bart and Walnut were so well looked after while we were away.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience in animal husbandry and veterinary care. I cared for a multitude of animals, including cats, dogs, and other exotic pets. Whether it is daily exercise, extra snuggles, or an extra zen environment, I have the experience for your furbabies. I can administer daily medications, follow complex diets, and look critically at the animals in my care to determine if veterinary assistance is needed. Pictures of your pet can be provided upon request (I usually send one even if it isn't requested but if you want more, I will provide. :) Petcare is my life 24/7. Walks, playtime, and pleasant company are the three biggest parts of daily routine. For cats, making sure they have adequate creature comforts and, if the cat enjoys the attention, plenty of interaction with yours truly. I try to maintain your pets stability by sticking to your routine and habits to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible. We will follow your schedule so they know what to expect throughout our interaction.
“Mollie was the best cat sitter ever!!! She really took care of my babies! Mollie went over and beyond like washing the sheets when they threw up and creating warm fun spots for them. I definitely recommend Mollie!”

“Tessa is so wonderful! Our dogs did extremely well with her for her 1st time meeting them. We appreciated her patience with the boys, and that she came from the distance that she did to meet and get to know them.”

About: Since I was a little girl I have had and taken care of both indoor and outdoor cats. I have taken care of cats with special needs and of all breeds and sizes and do not discriminate as I love them all! I have experience with very young kittens all the way up to seniors at end of life. I treat every cat with the respect and dignity and care that I would my own.
About: My family and I have had cats and dogs my whole life. I cannot have pets in my apartment. But I would love to care for yours like they were my own. I’m available evenings and weekends. I Work full time. I can do overnight stays on weekends. I live in Vermont but and can go as far as Lake George. I don’t have pets. But I would be clean and respectful. I would make sure to follow any rules and guidelines to avoid any accidents. Safety is my priority above all.

“Brandy provides thorough and loving care to your critters when you need to be away. We are so grateful for the gentle care she provided our kitties (and the chicken care too)! Brandy also provided oral and topical meds for our older cats. We highly recommend her.”

“Colleen was great! She came a few days before to meet my (high maintenance) cat and see the space. She was super warm and nice - I had no qualms about leaving my baby in her care. She updated me a couple times of day, with pictures! My cat was healthy and happy after she left, and the house looked great - she even took out my trash! I would (and will) 100% book Colleen again!!”

About: I have cared for and have had my own cats for many years. The oldest was 29, while the youngest was just a couple days. I have bottle fed, administered medications and just been a friend. I have trained a few to play fetch and have been a source of comfort during labor and delivery while 1 was delivering a litter of 9 kittens. I believe cats are wild at heart but love whole heartedly when they find their person/people.
About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.
About: I’ve always took a liking to animals and always had postive bonds with them. Over the years of growing up my grandfather owned several big dogs and cats. While others would shy away, not me I always helped out and didn’t mind watching them. I currently run an online business which has allowed me to have so much time for my daily clients. Due to my freedom I’m able to provide walks as often as every two hours or less for my puppies. I also get to spend my days cuddled up with my temporary babies. Caring for any pet at my home or others will be very similar I will need to know any notes and any restrictions for me and the dog. As I would give them my complete attention so that it’s a little vacation for them as well as subtracting feeling neglected.

“Desiree was amazing, she responds very quickly. My 2 month old puppy came back so exhausted and I had updates and pics throughout the day. I will recommend everyone to her! And she is worth tipping because she gave excellent service.”

“Julia and her family were wonderful sitters. When you book with Julia you aren't just getting her caring for your dog, but her two young sons, and their yellow lab, Yukon. My boy looked like he had so much fun and also had time during the day to relax. Our other sitter was not available, and Julia was super accommodating, we decided to book her again for more daycare services.”

About: I have over ten years of experience caring for fur babies of every kind! I grew up surrounded by animals, a passion that has blossomed in my adult years. In high school I worked in a veterinary setting where I was able to learn pet CPR & emergency skills. I am now a human mama to one baby boy who I plan to pass my love of animals onto, we practice and model gentle and respectful handling of all furry friends. I am an animal mama to two goldens, some chickens and a few cats. I work from home, so naturally, spend all my days doting on my fur babies and yours too! Your pets will always be treated with love, kindness & patience by me - whether in my home or yours! Please note: I currently have an infant so I am unable to stay overnight in your home at this time. I accept housesitting requests however, as I am able to offer early morning and late night visits, as well as up to 5-6 visits / daily while house sitting depending on your pets’ needs. Submitting a request as a housesit instead of dropins is more cost effective to you. Please reach out to chat more if you’re looking for house sitting services! I work a very relaxed job from home so I am able to be available to your pet 24/7 for medicine breaks, snack breaks, walks, potty breaks, and scritches! I have experience with every pet type, from Great Danes to bottle fed kittens. If your pet is staying in my home - they can enjoy our fenced in backyard or our dedicated dog loft if they need some time to decompress. Otherwise, they’ll get to hangout with my family 24/7 which includes my two golden retrievers, Franklin & Jasper. Franklin & Jasper have never met a dog they didn’t LOVE. For peace of mind, our dogs will never be fed in the same space as your pet(s). We always welcome you to come see our home and meet Franklin & Jasper before your scheduled drop off date so that you can feel confident and stress free while out of town. If I am watching your pet within your home, my visits are extremely flexible. I am able to accommodate feeding and walk schedules seamlessly.
“Mousse had such a fun time with Deirdre! She took the most amazing pictures and updated us very regularly throughout the day, even with videos. Playtime can get a little messy, especially with how the weather has been, Deirdre took the loving and kind liberty of grooming Mousse before we picked her up. We will absolutely be seeing Deirdre again! Happy new year!”

“Alexandria was a great sitter for our dog! She was available on short notice because another sitter canceled on us, and her place had a large backyard for our dog to run around and explore. We’d love to book her again when we’re back in town.”

“Don’t hesitate to bring your fur friend to hang out with Coleen. She is awesome! Milo had a great time. He was happy relaxed and stress free while we were gone. We received photos and updates throughout the day. It was worth every penny to have Milo stay with Coleen while we enjoyed a day at local amusement park. Thank you for allowing us a great stress free day too.”
“Samantha was wonderful! She was very responsive ahead of time with planning the logistics and sent multiple photos and updates during our pup’s day with her. I felt very comfortable knowing Millie was in good hands and would definitely book with her again.”

About: Dogs and Cats are just as stressed as you when you have to go out of town. I get it. I want to be here to help your fur baby at home have a low energy time as they are missing their parents when they are gone. I think it’s great to interact as much as possible just as much as I think it’s great give them space when they need it. I do not currently have any pets but I have been volunteering at animal shelters for ten years. Through this experience I was able to learn dog and cat behaviors of all kinds. I go in treating the area like it’s their space and I am just a visitor and not a threat. Usually I bring treats and try to see if it’s a good fit (if allowed).

About: As a child I was always drawn to animals and their pure spirits. I have extensive experience with pocket pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, mice) and foster rabbits with a local rabbit rescue in my home. I have 10+ years of experience with small dogs and mid-sized dogs with a specialization in the needs of brachycephalic breeds like shih tzu's, bulldogs, Frenchies and more. I am versed in first aid for small animals and dogs. Can't forget the kitties! I have yet to meet a kitty I didn't love. I strongly feel like they need love too and look forward to caring for them in your home where the majority of them are the most comfortable. I am a stay at home/work from home mom who is looking forward to instilling a love of animals for my son as he gets older. I have done formal training for rescue pups and understand dog behaviour/warning signs/signs of stress etc as well as any human can. I like to take my own dog with me most places, hiking, camping, you name it. I have owned dogs from 30lb to 90lb and ones who are super loving and those who are more shy. I am used to dealing with a more shy dog on a regular basis. Hope to hear from you!
“Shari and Connie were fantastic! Definitely recommend them. My 1yr old dog Olivia had a terrific time - they took her on great walks and gave her loads of attention, plus have a fabulous yard and great home that she felt very comfortable in. They also sent me regular updates, which I really appreciated. I think so highly of them that I’ve already booked another stint for Olivia in a few weeks!”

“DJ was excellent with my pup and I will definitely be keeping him in mind when booking in the future. He was very communicative and sent lots of updates as well as cute photos of their adventures. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible, caring sitter.”

About: I love all animals!!! I really enjoy coming to your house and playing with your precious babies. I have cared for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, turtles, and yes even snakes. I’ve even experienced breeding and nurturing 11 golden retrievers (3 adults and 8 puppies) at one time. I will come to your house to LOVE, feed, water, play, brush, walk, talk to, and even car rides with your beautiful pets. I’ve also been known to mop, water your plants, retrieve your mail, and take your garbage to the street. On numerous occasions, I’ve taken on jobs in Massachusetts and Vermont as mini vacations! I have a bubbly and friendly personality that animals respond well too! Reasonable rates, flexible hours, and many satisfied customers! I am retired from the county, which allows me to provide full time care to all my fury friends! I travel distances to watch your babies and occasionally welcome your pet to stay at my house. My goal is to watch pups in their own environment. It’s always difficult when Mom and Dad go away, but they are definitely less stressed if they get to stay home. This way they can feel safe and comfortable in their own surroundings

About: I grew up on a farm, which gave me hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals, including horses, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cows, and various small animals. From a young age, I’ve always had dogs and cats in my home, and animal care has been a constant part of my life. I currently work at a dog training facility, where I am continuing to advance my career as a professional dog trainer. On a daily basis, I work with dogs of many breeds, sizes, temperaments, and unique quirks, and I’m confident handling nearly all dogs. I’m experienced in the proper use of training tools such as prong and starmark collars, slip leads, and ecollars. At home, I share my life with four dogs and five cats, further reinforcing my comfort and confidence in multi-pet environments. I’m also comfortable administering medications when needed, and nail trims are available upon request for an additional fee. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. If you choose me, you can rest assured your furry family member will be in capable, caring hands I am currently only available in the evenings after 5pm through the week and all day Fri-Sun. Send me a message and we can work something out! I am flexible and can make almost anything work. I am CPR / first aid certified as well. My dogs have a routine we follow and I would love to help keep your pets in theirs while you’re away! Send me a message and let me know what you’re looking for!
