“Deirdre was AMAZING with my puppy Sookie. She goes above and beyond with all her care and you can tell she really loves taking care of dogs and treats yours like her own. My dog Sookie had some stomach issues and Deirdre cooked her rice and other things that fixed it. When she noticed that Sookie was itching, she gave her anti-itching baths, Omega 3 oil and a spray that fixed that too! She sent so many videos and pics that showed how Sookie had the best time during her stay and I will totally have my dogs stay with Deirdre again!”

About: I have always had multiple pets, dogs and cats. I currently have a black lab named bear and a black cat named Rosie. I also have house and babysat for a number of families. I love hanging out with animals and am known to be super attentive and responsible. I work part time in the summer and often either work a morning or night shift, not typically all day and have time to play with your pups! (Or cats) I will be sure to spend ample time with your dogs outside either within a fenced area or on a leash and will make sure your house and pup are left the same way I found them.

Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. “I can not say enough how lucky I am to have found Ashley and her family. I wont ever leave my dog with anyone else. They treated her like family and I got everyday messages and videos which I loved. I got to see her running around their yard playing with their dog and cuddled in bed watching movies with them as a family like we would at home. I was able to go on vacation for 7 days and know that I left my baby in the best possible hands. Their love of dogs and amazing yard sold me instantly. They put all my worries to rest knowing I was leaving her with a loving family not in a kennel. Anyone’s dog would be lucky to stay with them. Absolutely positive experience for me and my dog!”

About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.
“Deirdre was AMAZING with my puppy Sookie. She goes above and beyond with all her care and you can tell she really loves taking care of dogs and treats yours like her own. My dog Sookie had some stomach issues and Deirdre cooked her rice and other things that fixed it. When she noticed that Sookie was itching, she gave her anti-itching baths, Omega 3 oil and a spray that fixed that too! She sent so many videos and pics that showed how Sookie had the best time during her stay and I will totally have my dogs stay with Deirdre again!”
About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. I believe that both people and animals benefit from living in a clean and comfortable space, so I seek to maintain and accommodate that kind of positive atmosphere in your pet's home.
“Hannah was great! This was our first time leaving our dog, Taco, with her, and it was for 5 days. We were of course nervous leaving him with someone new for so long, but as soon as we walked through her door, we were reassured he was going to be in great care! She kept us updated with photos throughout, and it was clear he was treated like part of the family during that time. Taco is excited to visit again!”
“Ann was absolutely great with my boy Snoopy! He is a very high energy Cattle dog who has spent very little time away from me for the past 9 years. I was nervous about boarding him, since he can be a lot for people, but Ann was absolutely amazing with him. He cozied up to her immediately and the pictures I got of him playing and having fun made me feel much better about being away from him. He got lots of attention and play time and I’m very thankful that Ann was so good with him. Highly Recommend!!!”
