About: Hi there! I am 30 and I live in Springfield, VT and work in WRJ. So my radius is quite large. I have a 6 year old golden pup (as seen in photos) named Burton and also take care of my in laws cat, Middy. I grew up in Vermont on a small farm with 3 dogs (Pitbull and labs) and 2 cats. I currently have a pup, Burton. Who gets along with all dogs and people. Depending on your pets personality, I will be sure to be active with them. Our pup Burton gets 4 walks a day and typically goes for a swim once a day at a nearby kayak launch. I fully believe pets should have a significant amount of play + active time whether its a walk or drop in visit, they will have fun. I do work in WRJ from 8-5pm but I do have lunches available and we do have flexible time. Typically at lunch or after work I will have time to give them a good active walk/run. I am a very active person and believe all pups should have an active lifestyle as well. I only do walks + drop ins, most of my care will be outside! Love hiking, long walks and running. I have experience with running a husky every other day for 2-3 miles due to the high energy.

Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. About: I have had dogs my whole life. I worked at a doggy day care facility for 5 years and gained a ton of experience with dogs of all sized and temperaments! We have had 10 foster dogs in recent years who have taught me a lot! My current dog keeps me very active and we love long walks, hikes and the beach! My schedule is currently wide open. My dog is my everything and yours will get the same love and care while with me! We do long walks when temperatures allow and brief outdoor breaks during the day to stay cool and get in some exercise! I live in an apartment that is very walkable and has many parks around! While I’m looking for a part time job, my schedule is very flexible, so I’m available most days and times for pet care. I have a fully fenced yard and a very energetic one year old pup, so your dog can enjoy plenty of playtime, exercise, and cuddles throughout the day. I love taking long walks, so keeping active won’t be a problem! I’ve also worked on leash training with my own dog, giving me experience handling dogs that pull or need a little extra patience on walks.
