About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.

About: Grew up around dogs, my family has always had one in our lives. Feel I have a special bond with dogs, big and small, and rarely do I experience coming across a dog that does not warm up to me. Experienced in all forms of taking care of dogs, from walking and feeding, to playing and living with, sitting for family and friends both in their home and ours. I work full time from home but have a lot of flexibility during the day. Early mornings and evenings can be accommodated with simple planning. My family currently has an older female beagle who is sweet as can be, and very lazy. She is not aggressive towards other dogs and is fine being around dogs. We have three little children who are completely accustomed to having dogs present, and love to help with feeding and play time. We live in a small house but could accommodate 1 dog for short stays if need be, preferably small-medium sized (less than 40lbs). We do not have a fenced-in yard but live near a dog park and excellent areas for walking.

“They were so great!! Lika took a ton of pictures and videos of our dog Schnappi through the weekend which totally helped my separation anxiety lol. It made us feel good to see Schnappi playing and napping and knowing he was being taken care of so well. They followed the directions we left for feeding, medication, etc. well and were really communicative. They were able to help us out last minute when our friend had to cancel on dog-sitting, which was amazing. And then when my plane was super delayed Lika was really nice about me being late to pick him up. She also went above & beyond and delivered his food bowls to us after we forgot to bring them home. All around great experience, you can tell they're dog people and I will definitely rebook with them next time we need a sitter.”

About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. I love hiking and walks and have lots of friends with dogs if socialization is something you'd like for your pup.

About: I grew up with cats, both indoor and outdoor. In college I adopted my own cat who recently passed away at the age of 19. He was very healthy up until the last year during which time he needed special medication and some adjustments made to his living quarters. I recently adopted an adult cat named Angus and he has fit in with my dogs wonderfully! I’d love to help care for someone else’s kitty and make sure they’re given love and attention while their humans are away. I regularly take care of friends’ cats while they’re away.

About: I have spent many overnights at homes while providing pet care. The durations of these stays have been up to a week. I do very well with following clear directions for feeding, medications, as well as other pet care needs. This includes affection and playing— I absolutely love dogs and cats! I am a teacher, which of course is a very busy job. However, I do not work over the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility in these months. I am also available during most weekends! I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following instructions regarding feeding, medications, going outside, as well as anything else that may be necessary! When owners are gone, I recognize it is best for the pets to keep their routines as consistent as possible! I respect any rules clients may have for their pets (e.g. where around they house they are allowed, any dietary limitations, and any necessary precautions to take so that the pets stay safe!)

About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take puppers for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I would love to do some dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting. I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours. My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. When my cat was alive he had his own separate space away from the dogs as well as easier access to food, water and litter as he was arthritic.

About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. I love hiking and walks and have lots of friends with dogs if socialization is something you'd like for your pup.
“Ann was absolutely great with my boy Snoopy! He is a very high energy Cattle dog who has spent very little time away from me for the past 9 years. I was nervous about boarding him, since he can be a lot for people, but Ann was absolutely amazing with him. He cozied up to her immediately and the pictures I got of him playing and having fun made me feel much better about being away from him. He got lots of attention and play time and I’m very thankful that Ann was so good with him. Highly Recommend!!!”
About: I have had many breeds and ages of dogs my whole life. I look forward to assisting you with your best friend. From feeding to training and walks to the river I can’t wait to meet your best friend. Need more than dog care? I have plenty of experience with all sorts of farm animals! Currently have a flexible schedule and looking to add more dogs to my dog walk. I have a great spot to take by my house or we could head to some more well known trails. Your pup can come hang in my fenced in yard and join my pups in watching the chickens roam around. Otherwise we can stay in the comfort of their own space.

About: I have had a passion for animals my whole life, and love getting to care for new pets and their individual needs. I have a dog, cat, and bunny, but it’s not enough so I want to love yours! I follow detailed requests and always promise extra pets. I have a very flexible schedule and work remotely part time. About: I am a very experienced pet owner in Montpelier - I have owned and loved alpacas, dogs, goats, cats, and backyard birds of all kinds. I have also done foster care of kittens and cats for CVHS. I'm available to provide a fun and loving spot to board your dogs. They will get attention, care, walks, and playtime with my 3 dogs and part time cat. I have 2 crates if needed, gates to section rooms off, can be one level if mobility is an issue, am willing to administer meds and have no problem with puppies or senior pets. I am home all afternoon and evening and weekends and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am home ALL summer. I am available for boarding all of the time, but only showed weekends because that’s when I am home all day and evening. During the week dogs would still get a morning and lunchtime walk and care all afternoon and evening. I will send updates and photos throughout your dogs time with us - I am also available to pick up and drop off dogs for an additional fee. I am happy to do full day care to allow folks to go skiing or shopping or on full day outings as well.! I work in Montpelier until 3:00 pm so pets get exercise in the afternoons and weekends, and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am around all of the time on weekends and all school breaks and all summer. Our house has many dog beds, crates, toys and treats. We live on many acres and dogs can be on or off leash, depending on needs. I also take dogs to local trails to walk and socialize.
