About: I have been a veterinary technician in Montpelier for a little over 7 years. Caring for all animals, big and small. Hopeful veterinarian one day. I work as a veterinary technician full-time. I work Tuesday to Friday and every other Saturday. Availability would be on Mondays and Saturdays if able. I do not care for additional pets in my home. My current animals, Maggie (dog) and Hank (cat) are very content with each other and would not thrive with additional company.

“Christina and Jason were wonderful dog sitters for our pup Honey! We were RV camping staying in a nearby campground. We had some excursions planned where we could not take our pup and Christina and Jason took good care of her. They went on walks in the woods and Honey settled in on their sofa and napped afterwards. They sent pictures of her to let me know that she was happy as she has anxiety when we leave her. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if we’re in the area.”

About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.
