“Totally thrilled with the stay! A perfect home for sensitive dogs - great people and a peaceful environment. Barbara and Darryll are warm, caring people and very responsive to my dogs needs, plus sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! I can't recommend them highly enough!”

Kevin and his Great Dane, Maki, very calm and easy-going, made perfect companions for our active 2-year-old doggie. When highways were closed due to an unforeseen nor’easter, Kevin without hesitation generously offered to keep Bentley on if necessary. We love that Kevin works at home so there would be someone with Bentley in a cozy, relaxed setting, a much better alternative to boarding at a kennel, especially for a social family dog like ours who needs regular loving human interaction. We would gladly call on Kevin again.”
“My two border collies had an excellent time, with plenty of supervised play with other dogs. My old guy Luke thoroughly enjoyed his active social life and is quite bored to be back home. Meanwhile, my young dog Rafe completely bonded to Sam and kept her in sight all the time. Plenty of outside exercise and I loved the photo updates. I’ve never boarded these two before but it worked out great and will happily board with Sam again.”

About: Some of my first memories are of my dog Brownie. My mother raised Springer Spaniels for some time, and after that we had a Labrador, a Newfoundland, three Shitzu's and beloved little Scotty named Jimmy McPierce. I am a gardener by trade so I started petsitting/dogwalking professionally years ago, as a way to generate extra income during the winter months. What can I offer your pet? Personalized care. I understand that every animal has it's own personality quirks. I can work with that! If you have special commands or routines for your pet, please let me know in advance so I know how to best care for your pet. I go above and beyond most sitters because I deeply care for the emotional wellbeing of animals. How many can I watch at once? Multiple pets are not a problem, more the merrier. What if my dog or cat needs to be given medication? I have many clients whose pets require medication. I can administer shots if you have a diabetic in the family. What if my pet is high energy? I am a very active person so if your pup likes to go on runs or hikes, please let me know. I love to play with frisky cats too! I tend to be busier in the summer and therefore don't take on as many clients, but devote most of my time to caring for pets during winter months. However, if you are located somewhere close to my work in the summer, then overnights shouldn’t be a problem as long as your pet can be alone for around six hours. I will consider taking certain dogs into my home for overnights if it is the right fit. I don't own my own house, so I must be sure they will not damage anything. Cats are also welcome if they meet the same behavioral standards.

About: I have spent many overnights at homes while providing pet care. The durations of these stays have been up to a week. I do very well with following clear directions for feeding, medications, as well as other pet care needs. This includes affection and playing— I absolutely love dogs and cats! I am a teacher, which of course is a very busy job. However, I do not work over the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility in these months. I am also available during most weekends! I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following instructions regarding feeding, medications, going outside, as well as anything else that may be necessary! When owners are gone, I recognize it is best for the pets to keep their routines as consistent as possible! I respect any rules clients may have for their pets (e.g. where around they house they are allowed, any dietary limitations, and any necessary precautions to take so that the pets stay safe!)

About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. I'm also located right on the rail trail for longer walks and adventures!

About: I grew up with a dog and multiple cats from age 5 until 20. I have also had pocket pets like hamsters and gerbils over the years. I am recently retired and want to work part-time at a job that is fulfilling. Spending time with animals is a joy for me as I currently do not have my own pet. I have a dog-safe rear seat cover for my truck in case I need to transport your dog for any reason such as to the veterinarian or a scenic area to walk your dog. When caring for your pet in your home I will treat your home like it was my own with the utmost respect. And that goes obviously for your pet too! I am currently retired so I typically have availability to care for your pet and am looking forward to it! I will care for your pet like it were my own. I do not offer the service of caring for your pet in my home. I will, however, care for your pets in your home and am willing to stay overnight if that is needed and have done so for extended stays.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are my days off so those are the days I will be available most often.
