We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I tend to pet sit for family and friends. They request me personally due to loving animals and how I get along with their animals. I am out of work due to surgery. I can drop in anytime. Thought becoming a sitter during this time would be a good use of my time and get me out of the house. I always make sure the dog and/or cat is taking care of (Food, water, ect). If I had more energy I would have done more. Katie was very responsive to my texts and I even got a "report card" letting me know more about his time there. About: I have been an animal lover and owner for over 30 years. My 15 year old Lab is truly my best friend. He is used to other animals and very laid back. I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I truly enjoy the company of animals and also like to walk often. Being in the park and exercising helps lift my spirits. My dog has improved my life in many ways and he makes me a better human. Pets are given a cool, calm and comfy environment. Plenty of walks and free access to filtered water. (Treats also, if owners request/permit). I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. “Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. I’m a full time mom so I have a fairly flexible schedule for adding in dog walks. If your dog is ok with kiddos joining, I can be even more accommodating. I currently have a puppy who could accompany me on walks or drop-ins if you think your dog could benefit from seeing a play buddy. If not, I can do some quality 1:1 time with your pooch.

I’ve owned four Labrador Retrievers over the years and currently have one lovable lab, Ellie Bear, who absolutely loves making new furry friends. My experience goes far beyond basic pet care — my first dog, Nala, had a litter of 8 puppies, giving me hands-on experience with canine pregnancy, birthing, newborn puppy care, feeding schedules, socialization, and raising puppies in a safe, loving environment. I understand the importance of patience, routine, exercise, affection, and making pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. If your pup is crate trained, I’m happy to crate them when needed, or they can relax in a cozy dog bed for bedtime. And if your dog is used to extra snuggles and sleeping close to their humans, we don’t mind cuddles in bed either — we want them to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a dog and nothing makes my dog happier than being with other dogs! I hope to ease the stress that can come from managing life and wanting the best for your pup by providing a safe space for them to have fun! I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.
About: I promise to keep your fur baby safe and happy as can be while you're away. I will provide playtime, walks, cuddles and a lot of attention. I am very interactive and not afraid to be goofy in order to make a genuine connection with your pet. Don't be afraid to leave me detailed instructions- I get it and have fur and feathered babies of my own! I am able to walk up to 2 to 3 big dogs at a time and feel confident in my abilities to give commands and appropriate rewards/disciplines. If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. I make genuine connections with animals (wild ones, too) and would love to give them the opportunity to get outside all season long (even in the winter). “We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
