My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! “We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! It helps me experience and help me for my future, and it also gives me a time to get stuff off of my brain after classes, kinda like a reset of my day! I make sure they eat when they want to take them out when they need to whether it means just taking them out in the front yard to play, use the bathroom or to go on a walk. I also love spending time with my animals and other peoples animals, so I’ll take the time to play with them inside if needed and give them all the love in the cuddles needed!

About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs for years. I just found out about Rover from a friend who’s been on Rover for some time and she’s told me just how fun and rewarding it is, so I am giving it a go! I have a Yellow Lab of my own “Jader” who loves going for hikes and swimming in my pond. Currently I am very flexible and would be able to provide walks, pet sitting, and potentially be willing to board on a case by case basis. I look forward to where this Rover journey takes me! At the time I am in flight school which is part time and I have quite a bit of flexibility. So days and evenings are doable. I live on a 100 acre horse farm at the end of quiet dirt road so there is very little traffic. When you come by for the first time you will think this is doggy heaven. My Lab Jader is very easy going and gets along with most dogs. Of course before entertaining any boarding I would have to see how Jader gets along with your dog. Other than that I am used to walking and hiking in public areas so walking the rec path or going up the Pinnacle would not be an issue.
About: I currently work full time as a veterinary technician and have years of experience with all types of animals. I also grew up on a farm and have experience with most farm animals. I throughly enjoy pet sitting and spoil them as if they are my own. My favorite part of the job is meeting new people, their pets & all the different personalities i get to enjoy. I want to make your pets as comfortable & happy as possible while you’re away. I stick to their daily routines to have some normality while you’re gone. I have a lot of knowledge with animals and their health. I’ll be able to take care of your pet daily and if there is any emergencies or issues, I’ll know how to safely handle them. I’m also comfortable administrating medications. My schedule is pretty consistent each week. Each work day is typically 8 hours long but some days are shorter than others. Depending on location, lunch time breaks are available! My biggest responsibility is safety; keeping your pet safe while happy is my top priority. This goes for while on walks, adventures or even just bathroom breaks. As well as any sickness that may come up while you’re gone. Being a veterinary technician, i can realize a sickness sooner than others and know the right course of action.

On his 8th birthday this year, they had a party for him (I furnished the cupcakes and toys), sang "Happy Birthday", while Amber created a video of the event to share with us. Great family environment, lovely home with large, fenced back yard. TJ loves to play ball, retrieving tennis balls, and they indulge him. He has a great time, always.”

“Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do on the side, it’s what I’ve built real experience in. I’ve worked hands-on with dogs for over three years in professional settings, including daycare, boarding, off-leash adventures, and my most recent role was at a training facility where I learned how to safely manage dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I also own 2 dogs of my own, so I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. My goal is always to provide structured, attentive, and genuinely loving care so every dog feels safe, happy, and understood. I am also attending school to become a professional canine trainer. Pet care is my entire life. I have dedicated all 7 days of the week and 365 days of the year towards taking care of others and my own animals. Need last minute boarding due to a family emergency? I’m your girl. Everything else closed when you have work? I’m your girl. Taking a weekend trip but no where is open? I’m. Your. Girl. I am not only here for the convenience of you but also your beloved furry friends My yard is currently not fenced,(fence coming soon!) but I do offer leash training for more enjoyable walking experiences. I do daily walks for all dogs no matter the training level they are at. I have 1 very friendly lab mix and a great dane who would keep your dog friendly dogs company, and I also offer special care for those special pups who are more people dogs than dog dogs for no additional charge. If your dog is crate trained they will be crated for bedtime (9pm-6am) with overnight potty breaks if your pup requires them as well. I keep all dogs and cats separated. Dogs have the downstairs of the home, and cats have the upstairs. I am comfortable with administering basically any medication except needles, the only needle exception being for diabetic cats.
About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. I ask that you leave clear and detailed instructions to maintain a safe & secure home. Also, for long term services, I do not mind bringing in mail, putting trash/recycle bins out.

About: I've cared for all kinds of animals including farm animals like chickens and goats to typical house pets, Right down to a sugar glider once I have a wonderful schedule that allows me 3 days off. With school getting ready to pick back up again and winter on its way. I'm looking for a little extra income and what better way than to spend some hours with the best things on the planet, pets!
