About: Dogs and Cats are just as stressed as you when you have to go out of town. I get it. I want to be here to help your fur baby at home have a low energy time as they are missing their parents when they are gone. I think it’s great to interact as much as possible just as much as I think it’s great give them space when they need it. I do not currently have any pets but I have been volunteering at animal shelters for ten years. Through this experience I was able to learn dog and cat behaviors of all kinds. I go in treating the area like it’s their space and I am just a visitor and not a threat. Usually I bring treats and try to see if it’s a good fit (if allowed).

About: I used to have my own dog sitting/walking business. Then I had a baby so now I can only board dogs at my home. I love all animals. I am home 24/7 with my 2 kids age 4 and 2. I have had cats growing up. I have lots of experience with all breeds of dogs. We have one cat but can put in a separate room if need be. About: Our home has been a foster refuge since the 90's, I have had the privilege of assisting hundreds of pups and many cats find their loving homes. About: I volunteered for 1.5 years at a shelter in Montana and most recently worked at a doggie daycare/boarding facility as a handler and trainer for approximately a year. I personally have been a dog owner since 2013 (not including family dogs growing up). I have experience with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and demeanors. I have extensive hands-on training in reading dog body language. I am particularly well-versed in building a good relationship with nervous/fearful dogs. I treat every dog as if they were my own pet! I’m currently working full-time and looking to do pet care on the side. My schedule can vary from week to week but we can figure out what works best for both of our schedules. I always respect a dog’s boundaries and never do anything that they are uncomfortable with. I am a very confident handler and that helps in building a trusting relationship with a new dog. Even if the dog immediately wants to be my best friend, I let them come to me and I let them set the tone and pace. The most important thing with any dog is patience and not forcing them into a situation that could be stressful for them. I have successfully trained two dogs that I adopted with behavioral issues including reactivity to other dogs & people, and resource guarding. I believe in positive reinforcement ALWAYS. If a correction is needed I use a firm but calm voice, and praise when the inappropriate behavior stops. You can rest assured that I will never do anything to harm your beloved pet.

The best thing about caring for animals, is seeing their personalities, what they consider manners, and seeing them light up when they're being respected on their terms too. The best part of my mornings on my family farm, is taking a hike with the Bassett. Neither of us are satisfied with our morning until it happens. She needs it, and deserves it. While I'm away from her, I need to hike, or I get soft I ask owners what their pets needs and personalities are. What they consider manners, and if they are tricksters, what to expect. For work, I am a ski lift operator in the winter and a climbing course attendant in the summer @ Bromley Mountain. I work seasonal jobs in the summer and winter months. About: I have owned dogs my whole life and am a PhD student looking to use my exercise/break time taking care of your dog! Mondays to Wednesday I have open availability and Thursday to Sundays I am open from about 10AM to 2PM. I am super flexible and happy to follow your doggie rules. I have done formal training for rescue pups and understand dog behaviour/warning signs/signs of stress etc as well as any human can. I like to take my own dog with me most places, hiking, camping, you name it. I have owned dogs from 30lb to 90lb and ones who are super loving and those who are more shy. I am used to dealing with a more shy dog on a regular basis. Hope to hear from you!
