Both recently stayed with Gywnn for several days, and she was 100% and equally dialed into their very different needs the entire time. From the moment we first saw Gwynn interact with our two, it was clear that 1) she truly understands dogs and dog behavior, and 2) she loves dogs. That mix of professional ability and heart-felt care is a special combination, and makes for a terrific dog sitter. We'll be thrilled to send our dogs back to Gwynn when the need arises. And we know they'll love to go back, too, cause it's clear that they had a great time with Gwynn and her dog Meatball (who proved to be a wonderful host, and very effective guide on their frequent nature walks).”

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.
About: I have had dogs and pets all my life growing up. I love to take care of friends and family’s pets for them. More than happy to help take care of other’s like they were my own! Currently working in a hospital so my schedule varies but can always plan around you and your pets needs to care for them. Weekends usually work the best for me. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. We enjoy hosting dogs, and are home most days of the week for most of the day. We enjoy walking with dogs and playing fetch (if dogs like to do that) on our hill in our yard. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. “Our dog always has a great time with Samantha and her family, and he comes home happy, healthy, and tired! We boarded him at another place before, and it was clear he was kept in a crate most of the time and couldn't wait to get out of there. But with Samantha, he gets excited to see us then just sort of sniffs around and chills, like he doesn't want to leave. It makes us feel good while we are away to know that he is taken care of like family!”
“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Gwynn is fantastic. We have a tiny 6 lb on-year-old dog, and a large, lanky 70lb 13-year-old. Opposite extremes. Both recently stayed with Gywnn for several days, and she was 100% and equally dialed into their very different needs the entire time. From the moment we first saw Gwynn interact with our two, it was clear that 1) she truly understands dogs and dog behavior, and 2) she loves dogs. That mix of professional ability and heart-felt care is a special combination, and makes for a terrific dog sitter. We'll be thrilled to send our dogs back to Gwynn when the need arises. And we know they'll love to go back, too, cause it's clear that they had a great time with Gwynn and her dog Meatball (who proved to be a wonderful host, and very effective guide on their frequent nature walks).”

Luna can be a bit anxious when meeting someone new, but they handled it with patience and care, making sure she felt safe and at ease within just a few hours. Their home environment is attentive and engaging. Jyotidipta’s son played a big role in keeping Luna active and happy, with plenty of playtime, exercise, and walks throughout the day. I especially appreciated the regular updates. The photos and videos gave me full peace of mind and showed just how much attention and affection she was receiving. “Piper was the absolute best! From all of the preliminary meet and greet, to actually watching out pups, she went above and beyond in ALL THE WAYS. She blew us away with her communication, attention to detail, warmth, compassion, skill with crazy puppies, and general supportiveness.
