“Elizabeth was amazing! She was extremely communicative and made me feel confident that my dog was being well cared for. About: I have had pets in my home since birth and am very experienced caring for them. I got my own dog as soon as I was able to at age 18, he lived to be 16. I am experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with high anxiety, and rambunctious dogs. I'm happy to discuss any dog's particular needs. My husband and I both work from home. We walk our dogs at least once per day depending on weather and time of year. We walk them in the morning in good weather and after work if there is light to do so. Our normal routine is feeding twice a day. We live on 45 acres of unfenced land with an unfenced pond and stream where. I have two big male dogs, an unaltered Golden and an altered mixed pit, and one cat. I also have a baby under one year old.
“Sadie was sooo wonderful!! She was extremely accommodating for a last minute booking. She provided updates throughout the day and my baby looked so happy and comfortable, so much that when I went to pick him up, he was happy with staying there to play more! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my boy!!”

“Deirdre was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to know and understand our boy and his quirks and provided a safe and cozy place for him while we were away. Her communication was frequent and clear, and was very easy to work with. She's very mindful and in-tune with dogs and obviously cares deeply about providing a good experience for them. The model shots we got for updates was also a huge bonus!”

“A Big Shout Out to Brittney for taking care of our Finley for his first weekend away from home. We were a little nervous since our dog has some separation issues. But she kept us updated through text and photos and he looked like he had a great time with her and her cutie dog Pierre. Dogs got along well and our boy looked relaxed which in turn let us know we made the right choice when picking Brittney. We will definitely call her again for future help.. Thanks Brittney!!!”

“Laura and Tyler were great with my dog! He has pretty bad separation anxiety which makes it very difficult to leave him new places. Laura was awesome about introducing her dogs one by one and letting him get accustomed to her dogs and her home. She tried different areas to see where he would be most comfortable and really put time and effort into getting him to relax and be comfortable. She kept me up to date and make me feel a lot better about where he was and how he was doing. I would definitely use them again when we're in the Adirondacks!”
About: I try to make my place a home away from home. We’re a very active family and the dogs will get lots of playtime both inside and out. Both my children absolutely love every dog they have met and are not intimidated by breed or size. I have owned dogs my entire life and have worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for the past 3yrs. We tend to do a lot of hiking and swimming that the dogs will be included in whenever possible. We have a large mainly shaded fenced in yard that the dogs will have access to all day. I am very patient and caring and will care for your dog as if it were my own. Thank you ? I am currently working full time 730am-4pm about 20min from my home. I do go home on lunch so I will be able to let them out to play, potty and have lunch if needed. Dogs will go outside one last time at midnight( I am a light sleeper so will wake if they need to potty) and will go out again at 530am. Dogs that come to my home will be treated as my own. I have two dogs myself who absolutely love to play and always welcome new friends. I also have a 4yr old and a 7yr old who have never met an animal they do not like and enjoy helping care for any animal in our home. Animals are allowed on the furniture, bedrooms and in our kiddie pool of they like to swim. We are also within walking distance of a brook deep enough to cool off in. If there osever an emergency I am less than 5min from our local vet.
“Andrea is AMAZING! This was my first time boarding my dachshund puppy and she made me feel so comfortable. She updated me with pictures several times a day and was super accommodating to my last-minute plans. Can’t wait to use Andrea again the next time I am in the area.”

“Bayleigh was so warm, communicative, and reliable! She made sure I was able to reach her anytime and sent me detailed notes and photos daily. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and my cat was well loved and taken care of! Hopefully, Chaz and I are able to have Bayleigh back to our home again next time I’m out of town!”

About: For all my dog sitting clients, after each sit I leave homemade dog treats, keeping allergy’s and food sensitivity’s in mind. I have gotten so much great feedback about them! Pet sitting is apart of my weekly routine, in and outside of school. I pet sit year round on top of school, and volunteering. I do pet sitting full time as my only income. I care for pets in clients home, treating the property with respect, while also making myself at home and leaving the animals comfortable and in routine.

“Tessa is so wonderful! Our dogs did extremely well with her for her 1st time meeting them. We appreciated her patience with the boys, and that she came from the distance that she did to meet and get to know them.”

“Julie was punctual and very attentive to Parker, my elderly cat, and took time to get to know him a bit as well as manage his feeding with auto feeders and give his medication. I will be happy to have her again when the occasion arises.”

“Brandy provides thorough and loving care to your critters when you need to be away. We are so grateful for the gentle care she provided our kitties (and the chicken care too)! Brandy also provided oral and topical meds for our older cats. We highly recommend her.”

“Leona was wonderful with Romeo - he was really calm and happy when I returned. She communicated well, sent updates with photos and left my home better than she found it. I’m booking her for another cat/housesit right now!”

About: Common courtesy and communication is paramount. **Willing to travel up to an hour away. Just because Rover says you are outside my service area it does not always mean you are. I have clients an hour North and South of me. **Necessary update as of 6/21/23** I will require current credit card info be on file at your vet or provided for me in your pet write up ONLY in case of emergency. In the event of an emergency and I could not get a hold of the human, puppies have no pockets to hold a card, the vet required me to pay. I have raised 3 separate RESCUE Rottweilers to be exceptional ambassadors of their breed. I currently do not have any pets since my big boy passed away in 2016. I hope to again one day have my own dogs. Until then I will love YOUR pet. **I DO NOT board animals at my home. Only repeat clients would MAYBE be possible for a very short amount of time.** Clients pets have included many breeds, species for days, weeks. Many Golden Retrievers, Doodles, mixes aka Heinz57s, Old English Sheep dog, lots of kitties, a chameleon, turtles, a bearded dragon, a small bird, fish, Rottweilers, a very challenging but lovable English Bulldog and Huskies one of which was very reactive. Oh and a LOT of house plants! PLEASE NOTE: I am deathly allergic to horses which I am very sad about. Any type of animal requiring LARGE amounts of hay would also be a problem i.e, goats, cows, alpacas I am sorry to say. Small rodent animals requiring hay for food or bedding has not been a big deal. My personnel dogs were very public dogs, parks, events etc. With the ever present fact in mind that as good as my animal was it is still an animal. Never purposely putting them in a situation to be loose (unless at home or a fenced park) or get into anything that could harm them. Read quite a few books/manuals by military working dog trainers in hopes of training a service oriented Rottie. Came very close to passing the Good Citizen certification but my dogs never liked the “stay” part when I had to walk away with my back turned. They just had to be next to me. So close. PLEASE NOTE: I have my preferences set to NOT to show any photos of YOUR pet publicly. I would ask permission first to share. Photos only NEVER infomation of course. My schedule allows me to be available to be in YOUR HOME, with your pets all day/night, unless noted ahead of time and of course trips to the store. I have many types of animals that insist on sleeping in bed just like they do when their people are home which in fine by me. Just take some Benadryl and snuggle on in. I try to stick closely to how the home runs normally so the pets do not have any surprises that can make them anxious. Sleep, food, walks, play time etc. I supervise dogs in their own yard fenced or not. I am very organized and like an outlined idea of their schedule to be written down for me to follow as closely as YOU would.
About: My family and I have had cats and dogs my whole life. I cannot have pets in my apartment. But I would love to care for yours like they were my own. I’m available evenings and weekends. I Work full time. I can do overnight stays on weekends. I live in Vermont but and can go as far as Lake George. I don’t have pets. But I would be clean and respectful. I would make sure to follow any rules and guidelines to avoid any accidents. Safety is my priority above all.

“Colleen was great! She came a few days before to meet my (high maintenance) cat and see the space. She was super warm and nice - I had no qualms about leaving my baby in her care. She updated me a couple times of day, with pictures! My cat was healthy and happy after she left, and the house looked great - she even took out my trash! I would (and will) 100% book Colleen again!!”

“I really appreciated Hope’s willingness to take on my pup for the day while I was visiting from out of state and wanted to explore VT. I picked up a happy and exhausted dog from a fun day of playing! Would definitely recommend.”

About: I have 100 acres of land for your pet to run on a long lead!! Exercise is included with playtime fun!! Provide bath time too I am retired and have 100% free time to provide to your Pet!! Mon thru Sunday, any time!! Playtime , bath time and exercise !! My Daughter Sadie also runs the buzz with me so one of us will always be available. I’d like to add a fence in the future however I have four outside long runs where your dog can get exercise with the toys that they and I will play with. No need to worry about your dog escaping.
About: Dogs and Cats are just as stressed as you when you have to go out of town. I get it. I want to be here to help your fur baby at home have a low energy time as they are missing their parents when they are gone. I think it’s great to interact as much as possible just as much as I think it’s great give them space when they need it. I do not currently have any pets but I have been volunteering at animal shelters for ten years. Through this experience I was able to learn dog and cat behaviors of all kinds. I go in treating the area like it’s their space and I am just a visitor and not a threat. Usually I bring treats and try to see if it’s a good fit (if allowed).

“Couldn’t be happier with our experience with DJ! We had some daycare plans for our dog fall through and DJ was able to watch our dog on a moments notice, while we were skiing nearby. We received so many pictures and updates on walks, potty breaks, etc. DJ was super flexible with drop off/pick up times and overall, made our experience a breeze. He was so sweet with our pup, and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for daycare or boarding options near Stratton.”

“Deirdre was absolutely amazing with our frenchie. She allowed us to book last minute during our move to the area. He came home grinning and tired every day. 10/10 highly recommend her care!!”

“Desiree was amazing, she responds very quickly. My 2 month old puppy came back so exhausted and I had updates and pics throughout the day. I will recommend everyone to her! And she is worth tipping because she gave excellent service.”

About: I have over ten years of experience caring for fur babies of every kind! I grew up surrounded by animals, a passion that has blossomed in my adult years. In high school I worked in a veterinary setting where I was able to learn pet CPR & emergency skills. I am now a human mama to one baby boy who I plan to pass my love of animals onto, we practice and model gentle and respectful handling of all furry friends. I am an animal mama to two goldens, some chickens and a few cats. I work from home, so naturally, spend all my days doting on my fur babies and yours too! Your pets will always be treated with love, kindness & patience by me - whether in my home or yours! Please note: I currently have an infant so I am unable to stay overnight in your home at this time. I accept housesitting requests however, as I am able to offer early morning and late night visits, as well as up to 5-6 visits / daily while house sitting depending on your pets’ needs. Submitting a request as a housesit instead of dropins is more cost effective to you. Please reach out to chat more if you’re looking for house sitting services! I work a very relaxed job from home so I am able to be available to your pet 24/7 for medicine breaks, snack breaks, walks, potty breaks, and scritches! I have experience with every pet type, from Great Danes to bottle fed kittens. If your pet is staying in my home - they can enjoy our fenced in backyard or our dedicated dog loft if they need some time to decompress. Otherwise, they’ll get to hangout with my family 24/7 which includes my two golden retrievers, Franklin & Jasper. Franklin & Jasper have never met a dog they didn’t LOVE. For peace of mind, our dogs will never be fed in the same space as your pet(s). If I am watching your pet within your home, my visits are extremely flexible. I am able to accommodate feeding and walk schedules seamlessly.
“Juno had a fantastic stay with Kevin & Inez last week. He is comfortable when he knows that the humans he hangs out with understand dogs and instantly connected with Inez. He came home and was super relaxed and happy (and tuckered out from the walks and spending time with other canine friends). He is looking forward to his next stay :-).”
