“We are so glad that Maria was able to care for our elderly dog when we both needed to travel at the same time. Maria is caring, friendly, and experienced with older dogs; we also appreciated that she responds very quickly to communication. Very pleased overall.”

“Amber was an amazing sitter. This was my first time leaving my dog Charlie with someone outside of family. Amber communicated with texts and pictures of Charlie totally enjoying his stay. I will always feel comfortable now leaving Charlie and of course will always request Amber!!!”

“Kim was awesome! I was visiting Stowe with my family and felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She did a great job at keeping me updated and sending lots of pictures. My dog got lots of exercise and play time outdoors and looked like he had a blast! I would definitely use Kim again if I’m in the area!”

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“Kevin was exceptional - this was our first experience with a dog sitter, and he was courteous, responsive, and accommodating. His greyhound, Maki, is a gentle soul who got along wonderfully with our smaller dogs. We were especially grateful for the updates and photos of our pups relaxing and out on walks. I highly recommend Kevin and would be happy to entrust him with our pups again in the future!”

“Faye did an amazing job with our two anxious boys. She made them feel comfortable and made sure they got all the snuggles and outside time during our ski weekend. She sent adorable photos and was very communicative. We will be contacting Faye again when we visit next!”

“Barbara and Darryll were terrific! Flexible and communicative, with frequent updates and photos. They were patient with my anxious dog, Betty, and she warmed up to them quickly. I can tell she had a good stay. Highly recommend!”

About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! It helps me experience and help me for my future, and it also gives me a time to get stuff off of my brain after classes, kinda like a reset of my day! I make sure they eat when they want to take them out when they need to whether it means just taking them out in the front yard to play, use the bathroom or to go on a walk. I also love spending time with my animals and other peoples animals, so I’ll take the time to play with them inside if needed and give them all the love in the cuddles needed!
“Absolutely comforting family to leave your pet with. As much as we missed Koda while we were away we knew he was in good hands. Samantha was great at keeping us posted on how things were going, with little messages and photos. Will definitely be contacting Samantha and her family for our next trip. Thanks again!”

“Cassandra and family did a great job! She had a blast playing with the kids and their golden and swimming in the pond. We would definitely use Cassandra again when we are in the area”

About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs for years. I just found out about Rover from a friend who’s been on Rover for some time and she’s told me just how fun and rewarding it is, so I am giving it a go! I have a Yellow Lab of my own “Jader” who loves going for hikes and swimming in my pond. Currently I am very flexible and would be able to provide walks, pet sitting, and potentially be willing to board on a case by case basis. I look forward to where this Rover journey takes me! At the time I am in flight school which is part time and I have quite a bit of flexibility. So days and evenings are doable. I live on a 100 acre horse farm at the end of quiet dirt road so there is very little traffic. When you come by for the first time you will think this is doggy heaven. My Lab Jader is very easy going and gets along with most dogs. Of course before entertaining any boarding I would have to see how Jader gets along with your dog. Other than that I am used to walking and hiking in public areas so walking the rec path or going up the Pinnacle would not be an issue.
“Rebecca was a godsend in a pinch (wedding in the area, learned last minute our Airbnb was not pet friendly). Did not hesitate for a minute at taking on our active and kooky husky mix, sent constant updates - clearly he was loved like a member of the household and so happy in her care. We are grateful our dog agreed to leave on pickup 😂 and we wouldn’t hesitate to refer Rebecca let alone to place our dog with her again. Thank you Rebecca!!!”

“AnnaRose was lovely and you can tell immediately how much she loves animals! She was very kind to Rosie and kept in touch with me throughout the stay. I was very pleased with how everything went and will definitely book with AnnaRose again!”

“Peter was terrific! At drop off, he took time to understand our senior dog and her routines. He sent us a picture and update the next morning. She ate all her meals at Peter’s house (which she rarely does at home) so I know she was relaxed with him. At pick up, she made a point to go over and lean into him to say goodbye! Overall a great experience - thanks Peter!”

“Anna was an outstanding pet and house sitter. She was professional, responsive, and incredibly patient with all of my nervous pet-mom questions throughout the stay. She arrived right on time, took wonderful care of my pets, and left my home in immaculate condition. She even washed all of the bedding without being asked, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. I came home to happy pets and a house that looked wonderful. I would not hesitate to recommend Anna and would gladly book her again.”

“Brittany is the very definition of an animal lover. Her and her family treated our furry family member as one of her own and was extremely accommodating, attentive and responsive. Would recommend!”

“Amber was a fabulous dog-sitter! She sent me the cutest pictures on Rupert, clearly enjoying his stay. It enabled me to enjoy my journey, knowing he was well-cared for. I will gladly book with Amber again.”

“My first time having a “stranger” feed my senior cat. I was a little uneasy about it because Patches is very timid; however, Nikki’s updates and photos put me at ease. I could tell Patches was warming up to her. Nikki was always there on time, followed the care instructions, and sent me photos and updates after every drop-in. I will definitely use her again if she’s available. Thank you so much for taking excellent care of Patches!”

“I would definitely recommend Haley. She took great care of our two cats while we went on vacation for a week. She is very responsive and was flexible with her time when I needed her to feed the boys late one day and earlier another. She is very personable as well.”

“Samantha is such a wonderful & professional person. My house was left just as clean & spotless as I left it!!! My scared little rescues cats fell in love with her kind nature. I will rebook with her & would recommend her to anyone:)”

“Giuliana was so incredible! We last minute needed someone to drop in to see our very needy and social cat while we went to visit our families 8 hours away over Thanksgiving. Giuliana responded so quickly and not only was accommodating over the last minute holiday planning, but also drove to us about 40 minutes away to pick up the apartment keys and meet our cat. She also took such good care of him, sending me pictures and videos each day, and spending more time with him than we had asked - which was such a kind thing to do and made us feel so happy knowing he wasn’t alone for so long. Literally the best and we will definitely use her in the future!!”
“We needed someone trustworthy to come by our home and tend to our kitties while we were out of town and Samantha was it! Samantha was super quick and easy to communicate with. She sent pics of the kitties and even helped out with our chicken! Personable and kind, we’ll definitely use her again :)”

“Cassandra watched our 2 cats for 5 days we would definitely ask her to come back! She was timely and sent picture updates even telling us when they were more lovey that day :)”

About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. I have since changed my career but still pursue animal care in my free-time. This includes pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else you may need. From dogs and cats to bunnies and birds, I had it all growing up and this pet hobby has transcended into my adult life. I'm confident administering medications, trimming nails, or simply giving your cat some love. My friends, coworkers, and family have relied on me for years for top notch pet care.

About: I've had cats my whole life, and am currently a regular cat sitter for my neighbor in my apartment building, and have been the cat sitter for my entire family, grandparents, aunts and uncles for my entire life to teach me responsibility. I have always been the kid that was given $5 to take care of someone's pet and I'm proud to say that
“Alexis took care of our 2 cats while we were out of town. My husband and I were nervous leaving our kitties with someone we didn't know. However, Alexis was very communicative with my husband and me. She sent many photos and texts about how our cats were doing. We also spoke to Alexis on the phone during our absence from the cats. Additionally, Alexis is a Veterinary Technician. The kitties seemed just fine when we returned from our trip.”

“Amber provides so much activity and fun for our T.J. (Timberlake/Justin). He's very happy while visiting with Amber and her great children. He's happy when he arrives at her home, and during the day (as evidenced in photos that she texts). Fortunately they play so much in her backyard that I can get him to go home with me at the end of the play day or stay over. Time spent with Amber is very worthwhile for our TJ!!!”

“Maria was wonderful to work with and really helped us out when we had to go to Canada for the day and couldn’t bring our dog Grover with us. He had a blast with Maria and her dog Lalo, going on walks, playing in a nearby stream and hanging out in her home.”

“Chad has been taking care of Aspen since she was about 4 or 5 months old. He has worked with her and myself on her reactivity and meeting other dogs and strangers. I believe he saved my dog and I. I wouldn't trust anyone else with her. I followed him to Rover from the daycare he essentially started and was forced to shut down. And I will follow him when he starts his own. He is trustworthy, reliable, kind, compassionate and SO intelligent and well educated on dog behavior and body language. Aspen loves her days with Chad and she is wiped out until the next day!”

“Our pup had an amazing time at Tom’s! The house is located on a horse farm with lots of open space and little traffic. Our dog got to run around and played with other doggies. Appreciate the picture and video updates!”

“This is the 2nd time Faye and Guy took my doggy and just like last time, they were phenomenal. They are super flexible and helpful and low key with a gorgeous place for my pup to hang out. I feel SO lucky to have met them!”

About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. I'm also located right on the rail trail for longer walks and adventures!

“Wow! Wendy is amazing. Very warm, kind and knowledgeable with caring for a family pet... in my case a German shorthair pointer, that really enjoyed her cute dogs, Ken (a great tv personality) and fun/friendly home. I was skiing Stowe and her beautiful location is an easy and worthwhile drive that I completely enjoyed. It was a real treat to meet such awesome people and made me wish I lived closer. You could not possibly find better care than Wendy provides.”

“I highly recommend Katie! Very easygoing and I felt comfortable leaving my Chewbear with her. She was flexible with my time period and I did not feel rushed. If I had more energy I would have done more. Katie was very responsive to my texts and I even got a "report card" letting me know more about his time there. So nice to have peace of mind for your animal with severe separation anxiety. She is a godsend. Would definitely let Chewy visit again. Thank you Katie!”

About: I have been an animal lover and owner for over 30 years. My 15 year old Lab is truly my best friend. He is used to other animals and very laid back. I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I truly enjoy the company of animals and also like to walk often. Being in the park and exercising helps lift my spirits. My dog has improved my life in many ways and he makes me a better human. Pets are given a cool, calm and comfy environment. Plenty of walks and free access to filtered water. (Treats also, if owners request/permit). I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. I ask that you leave clear and detailed instructions to maintain a safe & secure home. Also, for long term services, I do not mind bringing in mail, putting trash/recycle bins out.
“Colby hosted our three pups in her home for a day and it was an amazing experience! She was extremely communicative and made sure to cater to each of our dog's individual needs. Our dogs came home so happy and tired from all the fun they had with Colby. I mean, what more could we ask for? We are all looking forward to working with Colby again!”

About: I have always been around pets of all kinds; reptiles, house pets, farm animals, even a tarantula. I am caring and attentive and up for anything! I work from home and set my own work schedule. Pet care can fit right into my flexible schedule. I would love to have a companion on my walks, as I listen to my podcasts!! I like to do my research on a particular pet if I am going to care for it. This ensures I will properly handle and care for the pet, as they vary!
About: I've been an animal lover and taken care of pets my whole life! Growing up, we had the sweetest yellow lab named Pete. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.
About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.
“So grateful to find Michele on here who has been able to accommodate my last-minute request for dog care after I was injured and needed help with my pup. Her calm demeanor and confidence put me at ease leaving him with a stranger, and she kept me posted during the day. Happy to wholeheartedly recommend!”

“Brittany is wonderful! We left our pup Molly with her for a day and couldn’t be happier! Molly came back happy, tired and had a great time with Brittany and her pets, she sent us updates with photos and videos! Next time we would definitely reach out again. Thank you so much!”

“Nicole is simply amazing. This was my first time ever using Rover and we got so lucky finding Nicole. My dog is very nervous around new people, and she did an amazing job respecting her boundaries and was so patient with her. Will definitely book with her again and recommend her to everyone!”

“Janice took great care of our boys! She was very communicative, flexible with our schedule, and eased our minds when we had a couple of situations unexpectedly occur. Our three boys loved her! We highly recommend Janice and look forward to working with her in the future.”

About: My family and I are pet lovers and have 2 of our own. We live in the outskirts of town in a quiet old farm house with a backyard so plenty of space for activities. Walking, hiking, and fetch are our favorites. I have done house/ dog sitting for many friends and people in the past and now that my daughter is older I would love to get back to it. During your pet's stay, we will go for many walks as well as hikes on any of the surrounding trails. We live very close to the Rail Trail, our pup loves going for walks and jogs there. We have a nice backyard for outdoor play, we, unfortunately, do not have a fenced-in yard. Weekends are completely free for me, that's when I get free time to do fun outdoor activities with my daughter and our pup. Your fur baby will have 100% of my attention on weekends, During the week I have a full-time M-F job fairly close to home. I hope you consider our family for your fur babies' stay! “Tania was awesome - I am a nervous wreck when I leave town for business, and she immediately made those nerves disappear. I got frequent communications, pics and comments that made me feel much better. My dog loves her and is maybe even a bit sad that I am home and he's back to his old routine. Will definitely book with her again.”

I have a lot of knowledge with animals and their health. I’ll be able to take care of your pet daily and if there is any emergencies or issues, I’ll know how to safely handle them.
