About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.

About: I've been taking care of pets for two decades and will love them like I love my own. I believe the best way to teach a dog is positive reinforcement and will work with whatever routines you have established with your furry family member. I work from home 3 days per week and the days are flexible except Thursday when I have to be at my office in Montpelier. I can go home on my lunch breaks for walks on the days I'm in the office (and you're close to Montpelier) and can work from your home if I'm housesitting and you have internet. As a gal in her 40s I'm pretty low key and will be very happy spending my time with your pet in your home or taking them on adventures if that's what they prefer. “They were so great!! Lika took a ton of pictures and videos of our dog Schnappi through the weekend which totally helped my separation anxiety lol. It made us feel good to see Schnappi playing and napping and knowing he was being taken care of so well. They followed the directions we left for feeding, medication, etc. well and were really communicative. They were able to help us out last minute when our friend had to cancel on dog-sitting, which was amazing. And then when my plane was super delayed Lika was really nice about me being late to pick him up. She also went above & beyond and delivered his food bowls to us after we forgot to bring them home. All around great experience, you can tell they're dog people and I will definitely rebook with them next time we need a sitter.”

I am happy to do full day care to allow folks to go skiing or shopping or on full day outings as well.! I work in Montpelier until 3:00 pm so pets get exercise in the afternoons and weekends, and dogs get a lunchtime walk as well. I am around all of the time on weekends and all school breaks and all summer. Our house has many dog beds, crates, toys and treats. We live on many acres and dogs can be on or off leash, depending on needs. I also take dogs to local trails to walk and socialize.
