About: I grew up taking care of dogs in my neighborhood as a kid and teenager. I have always had a big love for furr animals! I work a very flexible schedule during the week that allows me to have last minute changes or needs to take care of if need be! About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. “It was Abbey's first visit and she had a great time playing with the other dogs. It is like a doggy camp. No crates or cages. Stephanie and Max do not board aggressive dogs so we didn't have to worry like we do when we first enter a dog park.”
“Laurie was a fantastic sitter for Loki. Right away he took to her like (insert favorite positive colloquialism here) and was very happy when we came back for the actual booking. Many pictures during his stay reinforced the knowledge he was having a great time. Definitely worth it and I’ll try to rebook during my next vacation need.”
“Alexandra takes such good care of my babies. Her home is like their home away from home. I now live 2.5 hours away from her and I still go out of my way to bring my dogs to her to take care of them as opposed to taking them to someplace local when I need a sitter. She takes care of them like they are her own, has the best dog treats, and gives them the infamous “By Alexandra Only” baths. My babies always smell so fresh and so clean when I pick them up. The bottom line. Alexandra is the BEST. Period.”
“Emily was amazing with my cat Juno! She was flexible with scheduling and helped me get Juno into her kennel (easier said than done). Emily also made sure Juno was well fed and gave me an update on how she did during her stay. As a new cat dad, I really appreciated how friendly Emily was!”

“Amy was amazing! We were a little nervous about leaving our dog with someone we didn't know. Amy immediately put us at ease and made us feel like our pup was the most important dog on the planet. She is extremely professional and answered all my texts quickly. She provided photos and updated us with how things were going daily. After meeting her we knew she would care for our dog like she was one of her own. She was extremely flexible at changing the dates of stay when I'd accidentally clicked the wrong days. Even though they were very last minute. Her compassion for animals is truly genuine as evidenced by the model she's set for her children. They, too, took to our dog and treated her like a real princess. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our pupper.”
