About: I've been around cats of various personalities since I was very young. I have pet- and house-sat for friends and family for many years now, and it is a genuine joy to spoil their pets rotten. I have owned and pet-sat senior cats many times, and I have a decent amount of experience with oral medication. About: In addition to caring for my own dog and cat, I've also helped with my neighbor's dog, and my sister's dogs. I've got a fully fenced in back yard that's almost a full acre. And my german shepherd is incredibly sweet and gentle around other animals. I keep my weekends free so I can hang out with your pet! With school out my 15 year old daughter is home too and is eager to help love on some new pooches. My mother is also home most of the time working, and we are used to loud dog barks! In my home I have a German shepherd upstairs full time and a pit bull mix downstairs in the afternoon. Both are sweet and energetic and love new dogs! My cat does better with people, but she knows how to stay out of dodge when its needed. We do crate our dog when we leave the house but she free roams at night, alternating between the bed and the floor and the couch as she pleases. I would require your dog to be crate trained in case I need to leave the house during a boarding session. In your home, your rule is law. Whether its feeding your cat a carefully measured amount of wet food or keeping the litter box filled exactly half way, your standards are mine and I'm happy to go the extra mile. Likewise for a doggy drop-in to walk and feed. I always pick up after my pet on a walk so your neighbors have nothing to fear from me. And I'm used to reigning in a 90lb German shepherd who wants to make friends with every neighborhood stray cat so you can rest assured that I can keep hold of your dog on a walk.

“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

I was happy with our first sitter, but LuLu spent her time there just sniffing their yard and snuggling up on the couch with the sitter. She barely ate and wouldn't play with their dog. It was such a delight to see how happy LuLu was at Rebecca's place. She ran around the yard like I haven't seen her do since she was a puppy. When Rebecca thought LuLu needed a rest and brought her inside, LuLu whined to go back out, so out she went for more running around! The way Rebecca gave me updates all day long assured me that LuLu was being well cared for and was having a great time. Rebecca is definitely Lulu's new sitter. I couldn't be happier with her care.”

About: I've had a 91 lb labradoodle from puppy to now for about 4 years. I've also been told that my cat adopted me about 1.5 years ago. My dog is a happy go lucky guy who's never met a person or animal he didn't like. My cat is about 15 years old and requires injectable medication twice a day, so nothing scares me when it comes to medication. I've taken care of the odd African Grey Parrot from time to time as well. I take my dog out every morning, lunch time and several times in the evening for walks and play. Our cat needs medicine twice a day that requires an injection so I'm well versed in providing medication and taking care of animals with special needs. There's a giant pop up blocking what this field is meant to say but it's saying I have to fill it in, perhaps I can update it later when the pop up is gone.

About: Hello! I am a farm girl who grew up with dogs , cats , horses, cows and sheep. Over the past twenty five years I have adopted four rescue dogs taking dogs who were older and harder to adopt. If I could I would give every rescue animal a home. I have had success working with animals who others find daunting. I am skilled in basic obedience training and click training. I love puppies and elderly dogs equally. I am currently taking classes to start a new career and my schedule is very flexible. I can pet sit 7 days a week and will do my best to accommodate your scheduling needs I can come to your home and feed, walk, play or sit with your pet. I will be very conscientious about security and cleanliness and will update you with msgs via text or email. I like to send pics of pets so you can see your best friend while you are away and have peace of mind that all is good on the home front

About: I have experience sitting dogs and cats ages 6 months - 16 years, including overnight house sitting, walking and playing, and regular feedings! I have trained two of my own dogs from puppies, and am very patient with all animals. I am a full time student at James Madison University, so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends on weekdays and weekends when not in school! I have a flexible schedule at school and am more than able to drop in for quick potty breaks during the school day as well. If there is not fenced in yard, I keep dogs on a leash at all times to ensure safety. I never allow pets to be near human food unless authorized due to allergies and special accommodations. I spend lots of time giving your pets attention, love , and care while their best friends are away!

I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. Bella has severe anxiety (just like her mama) and takes medication three times a day, so leaving her is never easy for me. They accepted my request quickly, and within a few hours I was able to bring Bella and Milo to their home. From the moment we arrived, Penny was warm, kind, and incredibly welcoming. She thoughtfully explained their setup, including a separate area in case bigger dogs were present, which gave me even more confidence in their safety and comfort. She carefully gathered all of my information, emergency contacts, medication instructions, and even provided her personal number. She made sure she had mine as well. That level of thoroughness meant so much to me. When I left, I truly had zero worries. That says everything. Even though I was only gone one night, I received multiple updates, pictures, and even a video. I could see my dogs were relaxed and felt safe — which is especially important for my anxious Bella girl. Seeing her calm brought me more relief than I can explain. When I picked them up, they greeted me with all the kisses I could possibly dream of. Milo even turned back as if he wanted to say goodbye to Penny, which told me everything I needed to know. They were content on the ride home — either completely relaxed or happily worn out from their wonderful adventure! Because of Bella’s anxiety, I have often avoided traveling or visiting family. We’ve tried multiple medications and behavioral treatments over the years. Finding Penny and Evan feels like such a blessing. They reassured me that my babies were happy and that they look forward to seeing them again — and I truly believe it. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pets like their own, communicate clearly, and give you complete peace of mind, look no further. Penny and Evan are absolute gems. “Kim was great with our little girl Golden Retriever, Lexie. Kim and her boyfriend played ball with her and took her for a walk. Lexie also got to play with two Golden puppies. The fenced in backyard was wonderful for her to burn off that extra energy. Kim sent many pictures to let us know that Lexie was eating well and playing with the others. This was only a two day, one night stay but Kim and her boyfriend went out of their way to make sure Lexie was happy and that we were informed so we would not worry. It was a great experience.”
About: I began volunteering at my local animal shelter at the age of 9 and have been caring for animals ever since. I have 20 years experience pet sitting for neighbors and I have my own 6 year old pitbull, Cleo, so I’m no stranger to energetic dogs. I’m a teacher, so my summers give me full flexibility to care for your animals! I love to walk dogs on local greenways and trails. SCHOOL YEAR UPDATE: I’m still happy to provide boarding, walking, and drop in visits outside of school hours. I am unable to be home or care for pets from 7am-3pm each day. If your dog can be left for 8 hours, boarding continues to be available during the school year. I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can play. If they like to play with a buddy, my dog will be their best friend!
