“My wife and I had the birth of our first child scheduled, and last minute we decided to have someone board our smallest dog Icarus. Within 10 minutes of messaging Scott and Amanda they called me and told me to drop my little buddy off. They took such amazing care of him… Everyday they sent me text messages, pictures, videos; they walked Icarus, their kids played with him, their Lab Walter hung out with him. I even dropped Icarus with a bit of a stomach ache and they made sure he didn’t over eat and slowly fed him to make sure he was OK. One the day we were to pickup Icarus my wife and I had to stay at the hospital longer and last minute I asked if they could watch him for 2 more days and they said “no problem at all”. Scott and Amanda are absolutely amazing dog sitters, and they’re even better people.”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. We do not have a fenced in yard but have 2 acres of property that we would leash your dog and take for walks around the property. We had a dog in the past that had medication needs and special food needs so I accustomed to caring for dogs with special needs. We are also a couch/furniture friendly family if that is something that is important to you. We do have small children but both are use to dogs and love them! We also do not have a pet of our right currently and so your dog would definitely be the center of our attention.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. We do not have a fenced in yard but have 2 acres of property that we would leash your dog and take for walks around the property. About: My family and friends call me the dog whisperer because I instantly form a special bond with every pup that I meet and care for! My current work schedule allows me the flexibility to be available for walks and potty breaks Monday through Friday 10AM- 2PM. The weekends are based on need. For care in my home I have a 10 year old mixed breed peek-a-poo. He gets along very well with other non aggressive male and female dogs. He is can be shy around other dogs but not aggressive. He loves children. I have 2 children ages 9 & 6. Our yard is not fenced in so we take our dog out for walks for his potty breaks

I have a big backyard for plenty of walking and playing, a quiet neighborhood setting as well for lengthier walks. My senior dog is extremely calm and loves all dogs of all sizes. My young pup is well socialized and energetic to play with your pup for hours. My home will come with approved treats, I currently keep milkbones and dentasticks on hand, I am a rawhide free home due to its choking hazards. I have a work from home job, I am home all day 4 days of the week at minimum. Even on my “off days” I am generally gone no longer than about 4 hours. I have a long rope leash for play, a backyard that isn’t fenced but is more so “closed off” to neighbors. I have sturdy baby gates to section off my home to give dogs space for “alone” time away from my dogs if they need it.

About: I started working at a boarding barn facility when I was 13. With the long list of animals I cared for, taking care of the barn cats and dogs were my favorite. I started studying veterinary care and animals science in high school; during these classes we learn animal behavior, anatomy, and even proper grooming. Now I am looking to start a career in Vet Science! I own 4 cats. Everyday is animal care, from basic feeding, grooming, cleaning to vet visits and cuddles. I’ve owned dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I still work with local farms, so animal care is extremely important to me. Basic care for all animals includes food and clean water everyday. Litter gets scooped once a day and dogs get let out however many times they need. I am 100% willing to do extra care as needed for the animals and clients!

About: I’ve worked in pet care professionally for 9 years, 4 of those years being spent in veterinary medicine. I approach pet care in ways that makes the pets most comfortable and value building relationships with the pets as much as I do my clients. I have an academic background in public health and am currently pursuing higher education with the end goal of earning a DVM. I am currently working full time at an animal hospital in Newport News, making my schedule more limited than it used to be for my pet sitting clients. My schedule is more workable for households located in Deltaville, Topping, Gloucester, Glouster Point, Hayes and Yorktown. Morning and evening visits are possible all days of the week, mid day / afternoon visits are currently limited to weekends. Please reach out to ask about scheduling possibilities! Early AM (before 7:30AM) and evening (after 6pm) visits available all week. Afternoon / mid day visits are dependent on location and day, but open every weekend. I do not let dogs off-leash in non-fenced in areas or in spaces with dogs unfamiliar to yours. I require all dogs and cats to be updated on their rabies vaccines. I will not take an unaltered dog outside of his or her home, this is for the safety and wellbeing of your dog. If your dog struggles with behavioral issues and has a history of aggression, please include this in your message so I can help you decide the best options for your pet when it comes to meeting a new pet sitter. If your dog struggles with severe anxiety (this is very common!) please include some of the best anxiety-reducing practices for your dog (ex. favorite blanket, hiding spots, calming treats / jackets) in their care instructions so that they can have the best time possible without their favorite human.
About: Hi there! I’m a vet assistant at a clinic in Williamsburg. I have 3 dogs of my own (2 German shepherds and a lab mix). I have been caring for dogs since I was about 15. I love playing outside with dogs, as well as walking, running, and hiking! I work during the day a few days a week and am available Before 8:30 AM and after 2:30 PM on weekdays and 24/7 on weekends. About: I've taken care of animals of all kinds, from dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, and goats, since I was 13. In my senior year of high school, I took a veterinary science class where I did check-ups and grooming on all sorts of animals. (Dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc.) I feed, walk, and medicate animals for coworkers, family, and friends just about everytime I'm home from school! I plan on working part-time, so I will have limited times during the day to walk your dogs, but I will have plenty of time to go over and feed, medicate, play, empty litter, etc., after or before my shifts! We've got a super big yard, so plenty of room to run around and play. My doggies at home use an electric fence, but I'm used to walking other dogs on a leash, no problem! Additionally, my pups get along well with other dogs, so no issues in regard to company and territory!
About: I am open to caring for any and all pets. As someone who currently has 3 Great Pyrenees, an Austrian Kelpie puppy, and other pets, I am experienced in all areas and types. I have open availability to care for pets. I work for myself so build my schedule around jobs and appointments as needed. I do not offer overnight in home care at the moment due to all of my pets at home but will gladly stay at your home with your pet. “My wife and I had the birth of our first child scheduled, and last minute we decided to have someone board our smallest dog Icarus. Within 10 minutes of messaging Scott and Amanda they called me and told me to drop my little buddy off. They took such amazing care of him… Everyday they sent me text messages, pictures, videos; they walked Icarus, their kids played with him, their Lab Walter hung out with him. I even dropped Icarus with a bit of a stomach ache and they made sure he didn’t over eat and slowly fed him to make sure he was OK. One the day we were to pickup Icarus my wife and I had to stay at the hospital longer and last minute I asked if they could watch him for 2 more days and they said “no problem at all”. Scott and Amanda are absolutely amazing dog sitters, and they’re even better people.”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. We do not have a fenced in yard but have 2 acres of property that we would leash your dog and take for walks around the property. We had a dog in the past that had medication needs and special food needs so I accustomed to caring for dogs with special needs. We are also a couch/furniture friendly family if that is something that is important to you. We do have small children but both are use to dogs and love them! We also do not have a pet of our right currently and so your dog would definitely be the center of our attention.
