About: I have had cats on and off all my life. As a retired RN, I am now available to do what I love best. Caring for cats comes naturally for me. I have cared for cats of all ages and I am especially empathetic for older cats that need extra TLC. About: I’ve had dogs in the home since I was a small child and host small dogs (under 20 pounds) in my home. I'm new to booking through Rover, but can supply references, if requested. I’m excited to open my door (and heart) to your pup for day visits or overnights. I have one super tough 6 pound Shihtzu-Chihuahua in the house so your pups must be friendly with other dogs. I also have experience with puppies and caring for senior dogs. I work from home so I'm at home all day and night during the week. On weekends, I'm never gone for more than 3- 4 hours at any one time. Most of the time, I'm home with the fur babies. I have a house with ample room to welcome up to 2 dogs (same owner) at a time. I have a fenced back yard area allowing for exercise and free roaming. I never leave pets outdoors unattended. Dog's will normally sleep in my bed with me, but totally fine if they prefer their own bed in my room.

I have years of experience caring for geriatric people and animals. I have developed an empathy for pets and pet parents that only comes from years of working to provide the best possible care I can. Whatever your pet needs, from feeding to end of life care, I would be honored to have that responsibility. I am available any day of the week. I do have other obligations occasionally. The sooner you call, the better I will be able to accomodate you and your pet. When we decide that I will care for your pet, I prefer to meet both (or all) of you in your home so that we can discuss your pets needs. “Alexa was great! She was super communicative and showed up on time every single day for a month to walk our two dogs while we were settling into a new house. She got them plenty of exercise each day, gave updates on how they did on each walk, adjusted walk lengths based on the weather and how much energy the dogs had each day, and overall was super attentive to each dog’s individual needs. Our boys are missing her already, and we will definitely be using her in the future!”
About: I have a wide range of experience in both breeds and age. I currently have a 6 year old goldendoodle, 1.5 year old lab mix, and a 6 month old Belgian Malinois. I’ve had the opportunity to train them myself from the ground up and grow with them I’m currently working part time so I have ample time to care for and train dogs. It’s my priority to first build a relationship with dogs before asking them to trust me and train them. Dogs require structure, and as owners, it’s our jobs to provide them with just that. About: Not only have I taken care of dogs for a family vet since I was 9, I worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for years! I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me.
