“Trooper watched our 116lb dog for 4 nights while we got married and we (and our pup) had the most incredible experience! From the first communication to drop off, Trooper made us feel extremely comfortable and we knew our dog would be in good hands. Our dog is epileptic and requires pills multiple times a day. With Trooper’s knowledge and experience, we knew he would be well taken care of should he have an episode. Trooper gave us regular updates, so we knew how things were going. She came litter-box trained, but I’ve kept up with regular cleaning and deep-cleaning to keep her space fresh and comfortable. When she was spayed, I handled her after-care and medication, so I’m comfortable giving meds and supporting cats through recovery. I love keeping her happy and stimulated, so I’m always rotating toys and creating fun ways for her to play. About: I had this one male cat that an wild animal hurt. I had to give him an antibiotic twice daily and change the bandage daily. I set with him for hours because I did not want him to be scared. The hardest thing I ever had to do was be with my cat of 11 years when he had to be euthanized. I didn't want him to be afraid,this was so hard to do. Anyway I will give your baby all you would give.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding with a prior meet and greet* if your dog gets along with the two dogs in our home. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care or boarding, so I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. I work full-time from home during the week but have a very flexible schedule. I can provide morning walks, drop in visits and afternoon playtime before lots of attention in the evening. My partner is also home most days and our 15-year-old stepson is home in the afternoons and evenings (and weekends), though he is not involved in any animal care. I can board one to two dogs (from the same household) in my home if they are crate-trained, but a meet and greet is required beforehand. They will not be left alone in my home with my pups unattended. I am available for drop-in visits and some housesitting. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 3 years now. I can do various things including walking and bathing almost any dog. Taking care of dogs is my job and I love it! My work schedule is pretty flexible so I am able to do walks/drop ins pretty frequently throughout any day of the week. My best times would be before 12 and after 7 but I can typically do times in between as well with enough notice I would care for your pet in any way necessary by following any instructions you can give me. About: Dogs are such a source of joy! I've been taking care of pets since I was 12 years old. I have cared for a variety of dog breeds. From Mastiffs and Saint Bernards to cocker spaniels and chihuahuas, I have walked and cared for them all. Since I was 10, I have always had a dog in my house. Recently, moved to Lynchburg and have missed having furry friends in my life. I have helped raise many puppies and love the energy they have to play! I have cared for older dogs with medical problems taking the time to sit and snuggle when that all they need. I have worked with pets who struggle with mobility and those with unending energy. I am here for it all! I work part-time and have extra time that I want to spend with pups. With my current living situation I cannot have a dog, but recognize my desire to spend time with and show care to pups! I am available on weekdays during working hours (8-5) for walking and drop in visits and on most weekends for house sitting! I have a flexible schedule I am a good listener and quick learner. After meeting with you, I will be sure to follow your guidelines and request for how to care for your Dog. I am consistent and can hold your pets to the standards you set out for me. I want your dog to feel comfortable and at ease with me and believe that following your digestions can assist in this.
About: I have taken care of all size dogs, I love all animals so I am not afraid of them and know that they need to gain trust. I am a nursing student at the University of Lynchburg, I would be honored to take care of your fur baby! Able to take last minute or short notice requests if need be. “Trooper watched our 116lb dog for 4 nights while we got married and we (and our pup) had the most incredible experience! From the first communication to drop off, Trooper made us feel extremely comfortable and we knew our dog would be in good hands. Our dog is epileptic and requires pills multiple times a day. With Trooper’s knowledge and experience, we knew he would be well taken care of should he have an episode. Trooper gave us regular updates, so we knew how things were going. When we picked him up, he was in such good spirits that he didn’t want to leave - he even ran back up to Trooper to be pet. About: I've always had pets growing up as a child, most being rescues from the neighborhood. My passion and love for animals has grown into my adulthood making me a very enthusiastic animal lover who desires to help all different types of animals. My experience in pet care varies from having pets of my own, watching and caring for friends and families pets and currently, my job working with dogs at a Peaks View Animal Hospital! I have cared for pets of all ages. Including bottle feeding kittens and puppies to giving medication to senior pets. I am currently working a part time job at Peaks View Animal Hospital. I would have plenty of time to play and care for your pets! I would be available for boarding Thursday-Sunday! I am also available for drop ins and walks Thursday-Sunday as well! I live in downtown Lynchburg and have an outdoor terrace available for your pups to sunbathe and play. I also live close enough to the trails to take your pups on nice shady walks! If your pet needs to be crated, I also have an XL crate available for use at my home!
