“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

Our Basset Hound needed emergency treatment while we were away (no fault of Melody or Matthew) and Melody went above and beyond to obtain treatment, update us regularly, make sure our fur baby received immediate care and provided TLC to our boy afterward. He is home safe and sound and is good as new now. She sent photos and updates regularly for both of our pups and share cute, funny stories of both of their antics. About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. About: I’ve taken care of my dog and my aunt’s dog since I was nine. I’m twenty now and both of my fur babies are still kicking, barking, and happy. I’ve always loved animals, even helping to rescue some when I was little such as these two baby ducks and other little birdies and frogs too. In school, my teacher had a pet chameleon and turtle and I always was excited to help feed them. I actually started majoring in Biology at first in college to be a veterinarian or zoologist. I have a different path now to help children but I still have a passion for pets and other beautiful creatures of this Earth. I am a college student as mentioned before so my current schedule is MWF and Tues and Thurs to be free after 11:15 am. However, I do live on campus in Norfolk at ODU so I can take business there as well but mainly for dog walking and pet sitting at your residence. I do rely on my mother, brother or friends for transportation but they are willing to help snd be available as needed. Please give me a chance and you won’t regret it. :) I make sure the pets first get to know me, smell me, and recognize me to be comfortable with me. Then, I interact with them more by playing with them and giving them rubs and cuddles so they can feel more connected and comfortable. Then, definitely make sure they eat and drink the right food for their health and nourishment. Then, walk them so they can do their business and get exercise and always make sure they have a leash on. Next, make sure they are groomed and cleaned well and freshen up from the outdoors. We lost your senior dog this past year (15.5) so I have experience with dogs of all ages. I absolutely love to play and engage with your fur babies including walking them daily. I am home most of the day and if I’m not home my husband is home. Someone is with them pretty much at all times. I currently work part time and home majority of the time. If I am not home my husband or daughter is home. I make sure that there is someone to take care of your pets at all times. I enjoy walking them daily and always make sure they have as much play time as they want. I have a large fenced in yard and majority of the time we keep your pets inside unless we are outside with them. Our house they can roam freely and allow dogs on furniture. They can sleep with us if you allow as well as our dogs sleep at the end of the bed.

Pet care fits well into my schedule because I work PRN, which allows me to make my own hours. I occasionally work overnight shifts, and on Mondays and Thursdays I help with shipment at a clothing store from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Outside of those times, I have a flexible schedule and can plan around pet care. I’m committed to providing dependable, attentive care and will make sure your pet gets the time, attention, and love they deserve. When caring for pets in your home, I always respect your space and follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Back in my home state I ran a doggy-day care and began grooming and shadowing at dog shows. I have mainly had Australian Shepherds, but have also had German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Poodles, Beagles, and Labs. I love dogs, honestly, more than people most days. In the past I have trained dogs and competed in dog agility trials. I currently have three dogs, an Australian Shepherd, who is my heart and soul, a German Shepherd Husky who is the sweetest girl, and a Rough Collie who lives up to his name, Taz. About: I’ve had animals my whole life. My babies have gone through lots of moves with the military with me and we are finally able to have the animals we want but not the space, so until we have the space, I’d love to help other people take care of their fur babies! About: My first two pets were 2 doggies at 9 months old. I had them for 17 years until they left for doggy heaven October 2024 and February 2025… I am not ready to fully commit again quite yet so decided babysitting and loving on others’ furbabies will help the healing. Work from home all week. Will be able to take care of them in home and overnight if needed! I will accomodate to all requests and needs. Will appreciate details such as age, allergies, health, likes and dislikes. Will treat your baby/babies like they are my own. Will walk them as I have a dog friendly neighborhood as well as a newly built dog park. The backyard is also fenced.

“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

Our Basset Hound needed emergency treatment while we were away (no fault of Melody or Matthew) and Melody went above and beyond to obtain treatment, update us regularly, make sure our fur baby received immediate care and provided TLC to our boy afterward. He is home safe and sound and is good as new now. She sent photos and updates regularly for both of our pups and share cute, funny stories of both of their antics.
