My Dad or I will walk our younger dog Molly around the neighborhood or on the Appalachian trail. Dinner for the dogs is at 7pm and "last pee" is before bedtime (usually 10).

“Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. I have also been dog sitting for various breeds and sizes for an extended amount of time! In addition to our three dogs, there is also a bunny in the family that I assist in caretaking for! I will be completing my first fieldwork placement for my Occupational Therapy program at a clinic in Gainesville, VA. I will be working and commuting there from the morning til about 6 pm Monday through Thursday and will be home and available on the weekends. I am more than happy and available to stay overnight. I have a fenced in yard at home that we let my three dogs out in. We have three dogs with vastly different personalities so have ample experience in reading personalities and knowing boundaries for different types and how to step in and correct. Also with having a rabbit, I am experienced with different animal relationships and how they can interact.

About: Since I’ve been little I have always been around animals. I grew up with a border-collie and then added a small cavalier to the family too. And then later on I adopted two kittens, so I’ve had plenty of time around both young and older animals. I’ll make sure that whatever your pet needs, they’ll be my top priority. About: My love for dogs started at an early age. I began working with dogs as a vet assistant in high school. I have worked with or around animals most of my adult life. I never use any force on any dog. I believe in positive reinforcement when training any dog as I have trained all of my personal dogs this way. At my house our dogs days are filled with love, compassion, lots of positive rewards and mental and physical exercise. One of my dogs-Luna-is a certified therapy dog. Her love for people comes through with each interaction. It took a lot of time, training, patience to get her to this level. They say you should do what you love and it will never feel like work. I adore dogs and feel at ease when surrounded with them so it makes perfect sense to incorporate dogs into my everyday life. I know how stressful it is to leave your beloved dog with a stranger. I know I would be very apprehensive but once you see how I interact with your pup, you will know I am sincere and I hope you will see my passion for dogs.
