“Amber was Fabulous with our pup🎉💐🎉!!!! She is very knowledgeable about dogs and their habits and mannerisms. A true Dog Whisperer!!!! Her communication while boarding was excellent and she sent daily videos and pictures of our little guy. We will definitely use Amber in the future and I fully recommend her.”

“Kathryn did an excellent job watching our beagle. She posted updates daily and took her on daily walks. We will use her again in the future. Thanks for taking care of her.”

“Elly loves staying a Julie’s! She’s happy when we drop her off and happy (& very tired) when we pick her up! Julie keeps us updated throughout the stay with pictures and videos.”

“It was my first time booking with Heather and we had an amazing experience! My dog Stella looked very happy in all the photos I was sent. She kept me updated and made me feel like Stella was in good hands. Will definitely be a returning customer”

“Oh my word. Rebekah was a life-saver. We had a last-minute booking, and at the Meet & Greet, any fears I had were out the window. She is so friendly and welcoming that my pup ran right to her! She has a spacious yard, a spacious dedicated area for several pups to sleep and stretch and nap (complete with cozy chair), and her joy is incredible! You can tell she really loves her job and does so much to care for the pets she watches. Rebekah was so great with sending updates and pictures - we never worried about our pup at all! It was clear she was in exceptionally good hands with Rebekah! We picked up our puppy, and while she was so excited to see us, she still running up to Rebekah like she was already part of the family! Rebekah gave us a full rundown of the stay, and how much fun our pup had with her and when we got home, our puppy passed OUT from all the excitement, fun, and exercise she was able to have with Rebekah. That made our hearts so happy to know that our pup had so much fun while we were gone! We don't leave her too often because of some of her past experiences with her previous owner. Rebekah really cared for our pup and made sure she was able to just be a dog and have a really good couple of days with a new friend.”

“Stephanie was wonderful! Took care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay. She looked happy and well taken care of the entire time! Would definitely book with Stephanie again”

“Kaiser has been to Connie’s a few times for day care. On the 13th we dropped him off for 13 days of boarding. As soon as he realized we were going to her house his tail started wagging and once we got there he couldn’t go in her house fast enough, he nearly yanked her arm off out excitement and. Not going to lie, leaving my fur baby for such a long time to go on vacation, was hard. Connie was very understanding of the helicopter doggy mom that I am. She sent me pictures of him every day and answer my texts as well. As a bonus, Kaiser made a bunch of new friends and Connie took the best Christmas pictures of him. Kaiser will definitely be going back.”

“Our Duke can be a little high maintenance, but Tanine took him in and made him feel comfortable during his stay. Tanine, her kids, and the other dogs were all great to him. He seemed to really enjoy his stay. Thanks!!!”

“The experience with Sonja and Phil was absolutely amazing. They Communicate well and quickly! Enzo was loved on like their own. They even ordered and installed a broken buckle on his collar while we were gone! We will definitely be using them many times in the future 🙂”

“Christie was thoughtful and ensured the safety of all of the pets that were in her care the week we boarded our dog. She did meets and greets with the pets and owners so everyone was comfortable. When we dropped our dog off she was excited to be there and couldn't wait to go in. Our dog enjoyed her time at Christie's. Christie provided videos of the dogs playing.”

“Dana is so wonderful with our dog Maya! When we drop off Maya she’s already wagging her tail to see Dana! As pet parents, it just warms our hearts to see the bond Maya has with Dana!!!! Definitely would recommend Dana to anyone looking for a great pet sitter!!!”

“Domino was well looked after. He came home happy and tired. There were lots of other dogs to play with and he got to see all sorts of other animals that he has never seen before. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for him. Sitter was very personable and definitely has a way with dogs! Definitely recommend.”

“Meredith is an angel with our sweet pup! She kept him for the duration of our cruise, and updated us with several pictures and a video. She was able to cater to our specific feeding needs, as well as administering medication. We are so lucky to have a puppysitter that treats him with such love and care.”

“Leo was extremely well taken care of by a loving family. Plenty of space to run and have fun. Thank you Miss Yeni and Mr Ray for taking care of our beloved Leo”
“My Penny had a blast. Lorena sent us pictures daily and gave us updates on how Penny was doing. By the looks of the pictures Penny was treated as part of the family. Which in return gave me peace of mind to enjoy my vacation. ?”

“Heather is so wonderful, kind, and professional! It’s clear she is very knowledgeable about dogs and cares for them like they are her own. On top of that, she is an excellent communicator and her home is so organized and tidy with a yard for the doggie guests to play in! I had no hesitations leaving my corgi with her and definitely plan on doing so again in the future! Thanks again Heather!! :)”

About: Growing up in a house with a variety of pets taught me that animals aren't just pets—they're family. With a psychology background, I use positive reinforcement to bring out the best in every dog. I'm currently caring for my two middle-aged and senior dogs who need 10 daily medications, so I understand both puppy energy and gentle senior care. As a fellow pet parent and nature lover, I know how important it is to find someone who truly gets it. Your dog will get the same love and attention mine do—because that's what they deserve. I recently left my corporate job to seek a healthier lifestyle. I am in the process of building a business which gives me lots of flexibility to care for your dogs needs at any hour. Early mornings, mid-day, late evenings and even overnight! Just reach out and we will make it work! Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities in their own familiar environment. I keep your home secure with doors and windows properly locked, and I'm mindful of any specific safety concerns you've mentioned about your pet or property. I stick to your pet's exact routine—feeding times, walks, medications, everything—because I know staying consistent helps them feel secure when you're away. It's just me giving your furry friend the one-on-one attention they deserve in the comfort of their own space. I treat your home with the same respect I'd want for mine. I'll handle small tasks like watering plants or bringing in mail, and I always leave everything exactly as I found it. You'll get regular photo updates so you can see your pet is happy and relaxed at home. With experience caring for my two senior dogs who need daily medications and close monitoring, I know how to spot when something's off with a pet's behavior or health. If any concerns come up, I'll contact you right away. Your pet gets the same attentive, loving care I give my own-because home is where they're most comfortable.
“Alexis looked after our kittens and cats for a weekend. She was great. Trustworthy, took great care of them, sent pictures, even brought in packages left for us. Will definitely use her again and would highly recommend.”

About: Hello!!! I am a Marine Corps Vet. I owned my own dog for 4 years prior to joining, I grew up around dogs my whole life. I am looking to expand my customer base in and around Fredericksburg and Quantico VA. I am also willing to travel to farther locations depending on the circumstances. Great for short/no notice dog sitting request. I am tidy when it comes to house sitting, so you’ll barely notice my presence in the house after I’m gone. My only condition is that I would like to meet the dogs with their owners first so they are more comfortable with me before any walking or sitting occurs. Thank you for considering me for your Rover needs and I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend(s). I have plenty of time due to being able to work from home. I am able to easily crate your dog if needed and I also have a fenced in back yard which will be great for your furry friends to get some exercise. I am currently working from home except for Tuesday's but I am home early enough to still give your pet full attention and be able to visit when needed. I have a fenced in back yard and also two friendly trained dogs that can keep your pet company and help give them full exercise.

“Svetlana took great care of our 2 dogs on a last minute notice for the day. She is so kind, and good with the dogs. Her house is clean and tidy (1 of my dogs likes to chew everything), and she has a nice large fenced in yard for the dogs to run around in. I highly recommend her, and will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much!!”

“Yeny was kind enough to do a list minute Day Care for us on our Anniversary. Easy drop off and pick up. She was walking her as we arrived to pick up and passed them..! She seemed happy and exercised. The whole family seems to participate in the care of the animals. Yeny took the time to hand feed her a bit at her first dinner away from home to get her started. She took to the time to talk about her day with our pup before we left. It seems to be a caring environment. We will definitely use her again.”

About: I have lots of experience with crate training and a very energetic pup in my house who needs lots of socialization. He and I both need friends and exercise. I work from home and am attending school a couple of days a week, so I have time the rest of the week to get some fresh air. I have also fostered several dogs over the years and enjoy having furry friends that I can love and then give back. When I introduce a new dog to our family, I always keep them on leash at first until we establish trust, always use the crate for feeding and at night with white noise to help anxiety. I want the dog and my family to have the best time possible.
“Christie was AWESOME! She sent videos of my Dallas frolicking happily in her spacious backyard which put my mind at ease that he was having a wonderful time in her care! She is very loving, and attentive dog lover and I’ll definitely be calling on her again in the near future!”

About: I bring a lifetime of hands-on experience with animals of all kinds—from cats and dogs to birds, bunnies, and even livestock. I grew up working alongside an equine veterinarian and have spent years collaborating closely with small animal vets, giving me a strong foundation in animal health and behavior. Whether your pet needs meds, special care, or just a little extra love, I specialize in supporting animals with medical needs and take pride in being calm, compassionate, and highly attentive. I’m not just a sitter—I’m a lifelong animal caregiver who treats every pet like family. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to give pets the time, attention, and care they need throughout the day. Whether it's midday walks, medication schedules, or just extra snuggles, I’m consistently present and available to keep your pets happy and stress-free. My routine is built around their needs—because their comfort and well-being come first. 🐾 In my home, pets enjoy a safe, secure environment with a fully fenced yard and plenty of supervised playtime. My own friendly dogs are always happy to welcome new furry friends, but if your pet prefers one-on-one attention, I can provide a quiet, relaxed space just for them. I tailor the experience to match each pet’s personality and comfort level—whether they love to socialize or just want a calm companion.
About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.

About: Hello! My husband trained K9s in the military and was a police K9 handler in a local jurisdiction here in Virginia. Once his K9 retired we adopted him for good and made him part of our family forever! We also have a small fluffy puppy that my kids adore! They play with the German Shepherd and snuggle with the Puppy. I was a police officer for nine years until I retired to enjoy my kids when they were little. I have always had a dog and have been the main care taker for them for years. I also help care for my sisters elderly boxer, he is about the most high maintenance dog we know, but we love him anyway! :) We recently went on vacation and were astonished at not only the prices for boarding our dog but really the overall lack of care for them while they were there, this inspired me to look for other pet care options and I found Rover! I am excited to help families looking for affordable pet care!

“Amber was absolutely excellent! My husband and I were able to run errands and spend time together outside our home in peace knowing Rocky was in good hands. We received frequent video and picture updates and Rocky looked to be right at home. Thank you so much Amber for everything!”

“Linda and family took great care of Layla. She stresses easily in her old age but not at all stressed with them. They communicated with me several times during her stay and even sent pictures. Highly recommend!”

“Nathan was great to work with! Super friendly, professional, and quick to respond. This was our first time using him so we could enjoy a relaxing lake day, and we're so glad we found him. Our pup seemed to have a great time, and we’ll definitely be booking with him again soon!”

“Ligia took very good care of my dog during her post op. She really was flexible with drop off and pick up times. It was very nice having my mind at ease that my fur baby was with someone that was showing her attention and giving her medication after her surgery. Thank you so much!!! ❤️”

I have lots of experience with administrering medicine and caring for young animals. I work from home so my schedule is flexible. I can do either a set schedule or a flexible schedule I am open. In my home I can be with the pet pratically 24/7 since I am home with my own pets working all day. I have a fenced yard, I live in a quiet gated community with a walking trail and areas for pets to play. I also have a large home with guest bedrooms and areas where I can keep your pets safe and secure if they do not like other animals in the home. I do not use crates I use gates throughout my house.

“Cory was great with my dog, who can be difficult and high energy. He sent plenty of pictures and updates during the visit. I highly recommend him - especially if you are looking for someone that will be patient with your pet!”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs since I was little. I have a lot of patience and hold a great amount of love for dogs. I work part time and am able to be a great deal flexible when it comes to my daily routine. I will be able to accommodate more. I have always taken very good care of my pets. I enjoy spending close time with pets and playing with them often so that they have an enjoyable time.
“Autumn is a wonderful care giver for our sweet puppy. She reliably takes her out to play and potty, and communicates with helpful info and pics and videos. If our dog has any issues, she lets me know. I highly recommend Autumn!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and have been a proud dog owner since I was a young kid. I know exactly what it takes to keep a pup happy and healthy. In addition to raising my own dogs, I have extensive experience caring for others' pets. I regularly host family friends' dogs, have completed overnight house sittings (including 3+ night stays), and frequently manage dog walking schedules. Because my own dog at home prefers to be an 'only child,' I do not offer boarding at my house—meaning your dog gets 100% of my attention right in the comfort of their own familiar environment. (Please note: I do not care for cats due to allergies!). I am a recent college graduate spending my summer strictly focused on studying for my medical school entrance exams. Because my entire schedule consists of independent laptop study, I treat house sitting as my personal, quiet study retreat. Your dog will be my primary focus! I love using my study breaks to get outside, stretch my legs, and take your pup for long, refreshing walks. I am home for the vast majority of the day, making my schedule flexible and reliable. I know how important it is to feel secure leaving your home and pet in someone else's hands. I am clean, quiet, and extremely respectful of your space. While watching your pup, I follow their exact routine down to the letter to keep their stress levels low. I maintain an eagle-eye view on safety during walks, keeping dogs securely on-leash and away from unknown animals. Plus, I love sending regular photo and text updates so you have total peace of mind while you're away!
“Tiffany has been a lifesaver for us just moving here. She Is patient and consistent with our dog helping him to adapt better. She spends time with him outside as well as inside making sure he has food and water before leaving.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years, whether mine or those belonging to family. I have trained puppies as well as taken care of my dogs that have reached their golden years, and helped them over the rainbow bridge. My top two priorities are communication and safety. Any need you have regarding your pet is of utmost importance because pets aren’t just animals - they’re family! I have two dogs at home, one is 1 1/2 years old and the other is nearly 4. We walk 3 times daily, as well as plenty of enrichment time inside. Enrichment depends on the day, it can be playing with toys, eating treats from snuffle mats, lick mats, or just running around with them until they’re as tired as I am! Safety is my biggest priority. I follow instructions very carefully, I keep a close eye on your fur babies both in the house and outside. I can send real time updates that way you know exactly what is going on at all times, and I will always make sure to ask questions when needed. I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible, and I will always bring positive energy!
“After we had an awful first experience with rover with another Dog Walker, Deborah restored our faith in this service. What an incredible human, let alone dog walker. Consistent, great communication, and our dog adores her. I would go back to her 10 times out of 10!”

About: I have several years of animal care under my belt, to which I can provide references upon request. I have watched dogs ranging from 2 weeks to 15 years old, friendly to timid, and big to small, so I have a variety of experience and understanding of the needs of each pup. I currently babysit during the day a couple days a week which varies. This commitment is only part of my day, which allows for plenty of time to drop by to walk/feed where might be needed. I am comfortable with any requests from clients in regards to how they wish for me to care for their animals whether it be crating, keeping on a closer leash, etc.
About: I've worked in animal shelters, doggy daycares, and grooming salons. My life is centered around animals, and I can't wait to be there for your furbabies as well! I drive my daughter to and from school every other week, but otherwise I have a very open and flexible schedule to accommodate your busy family! I have had special needs animals and have owned dogs, cats, lizards, etc.. I have a lot of hands on experience in animal-handling and safety, and have walked and pet-sat for parents on Wag for almost two years!
About: Hi! I have never had a pet business but I do love animals! I have a dog and a cat who love to play with each other and I love them so much! I’ve taken care of pets in the past but haven’t made it a “job”. I’m ready to meet your pup! I work a full time job but am able to do walks early mornings, evenings & weekends. We can come up with a schedule that works for both your pup and me! I always make sure the dogs are kept on leash and when I leave make sure the doors / garages and any other rooms are closed so the animals don’t get into anything they aren’t supposed to, same for indoor cats, you shouldn’t have to worry about them getting out, I’m very aware of my surroundings and making sure all the pets are where they’re supposed to be.
About: Hi there! 🐾 With over 10 years of equine handling experience and many years of dog and pet sitting, I’ve learned that great pet care goes beyond simply being present, it’s about being observant, consistent, and reliable. I take pride in providing calm, attentive, and compassionate care tailored to each animal’s unique needs, whether they’re energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between. I’m very mindful of routines, body language, and individual personalities, and I believe patience and consistency make all the difference in helping pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I value clear, open communication and always make it a priority to keep owners informed and at ease. From daily visits to extended stays, my goal is to provide a dependable, low-stress experience for both pets and their people. I treat every animal with the same care and respect I would my own, and I’d be honored to care for your pets and farm animals alike. Rates are not set in stone, I am happy to work with you to ensure your pet gets the care they deserve. I work part-time, which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule throughout the week and on weekends. This flexibility gives me the ability to provide consistent, attentive care, accommodate a variety of routines, and spend meaningful, unhurried time with your pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very mindful of both the animals and the space they live in. I approach each visit with a safety-first mindset, taking care to secure doors, gates, and feeding areas, and to follow all instructions exactly as given. I’m attentive to subtle changes in behavior or environment and respond calmly and responsibly if anything seems out of the ordinary. I understand the trust involved in allowing someone into your home, and I treat that responsibility with respect and professionalism. My goal is to provide a steady, reliable presence so pets remain comfortable in their familiar surroundings and owners can feel confident knowing their home and animals are in careful hands.
“We feel very fortunate to have met Shannon, she's wonderful! Reliable, trust worthy, and full of great energy. She always takes her time with our doggo and makes each visit special. Also, we very much appreciate her professional background in both firefighting and emergency medical services as it speaks to her general character and mindset, and provides us peace-of-mind that if an emergency situation were to occur, our boy is in the best hands possible.”

“Stephanie has been my go to walker for months. She is extremely reliable, trustworthy, responsible, and I know my puppy loves to see her. She is professional and has been great at working around my schedule. It has been a relief on the days I’m away from my puppy knowing she will be there to check in on, play with, and walk him.

“Highly recommend! She took amazing care of our dog, kept us updated with messages and pictures. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. Will definitely book again!”

“Lisa is one hour and 15 min from our house, and worth every minute to drive down to her house to drop off our dog. Exceptional daily updates, very experienced with senior dogs, and great care for our special pets. She is our go-to sitter. Thank you!!”

“Sarah and Jacob are awesome dog lovers who took great care of my big boy! He was so exhausted from playing so hard that when he came home he went right to bed and didn’t move. This was our second time using them and we will continue to use them!”

“I just want to say Laurie did a great job with our fur baby. Gunner is 8 months old and full of energy so we were worried about leaving him with just any one, but we did meet Laurie first and her dog and our dog got along great so we left of baby in her hands for almost a week. Laurie sent videos and pictures and did everything we asked of her and more. We found a great sitter and our puppy found a new friend!🐶. Thank you Laurie!!!”

“Milu loved staying with Phillip. We could tell by the pictures and videos he shared with us that she was happy and comfortable. We would definitely booked with him again. 100% recommended.”
