I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. About: I have had pets all my life. Right now I have a rescue dog from China and another dog I just adopted from the culpeper shelter! I have 2 cats as well. One of my cats is a tripod therefore needs extra attention. The other cat is an orange boy so you know he’s a handful. I am in between jobs so I have plenty of time watch your pup! My husband also works from home 2 days a week. NO CHILDREN in the home. I have a very large quiet yard to let your dog out to play (fenced in) . I have room to set up crates and food stations. Must be friendly towards other dogs and ok with being crated during bedtime.
About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was younger, cleaning the litter box once a day every day. I deep clean it with a hose, and dawn dish soap once a month and refill it with new litter. I spend about an hour playing with them or until they get bored. Cats are by far my favorite animal and I love them dearly. I also tend to feed the strays around my house.

We will take them on daily walks and will receive lots of cuddles. Besides intermittent outings, I will be home with your dog, the whole time. About: With the exception of a few years during college, I have always had animals in my life! I grew up always having a cat and a dog in the house and taking progressively more responsibility for their care as I got older. Now, I'm owned by two dogs (a boxer mix and a lab mix) and two cats, one of which followed my boxer and I home one day and decided to stay. They are by far the best part of my day. With all these fur babies, I've run the gauntlet of pet care challenges, from pilling cats, to dealing with allergies, to working on behaviors like marking and excessive barking. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but what I do know is that it's made me incredibly patient and compassionate with any animals in my care. Plus I've learned a trick or two along the way! I currently work for myself (from home) as a research consultant. While I do have periodic meetings throughout the week, I usually have a significant amount of flexibility in my schedule during the mornings and afternoons. I often find myself going out on multiple long walks throughout the day and generally finding any excuse I can to be outside. So why not use that time to hang out with some new animal friends? My flexible schedule means that I can accommodate most any pet needs. I go for multiple walks every day both on my own and with my own dogs, so it's easy to incorporate lots of activity in your pet's day. I also have an enclosed front porch that we all love sitting outside in the shade on, just enjoying the fresh air. And on hot days, I even have a kiddie pool that one of my dogs likes to play in to cool off. Both my dogs are very friendly and would love to make new friends! One of my cats even enjoys horsing around with the dogs. My dogs have free reign in the house, but usually hang out with me. I'm happy to have your dog(s) make themself at home as well or to crate them if that's your preference.

I expected to receive the full time I booked and paid for. She also brought her daughter without discussing it with me beforehand. Thankfully, my dog loves children, so it wasn't an issue for us, but I do think this is something that should be approved by the pet owner in advance.”

About: I have two dog of my own, a cat and any farm animals. I’ve handle animals age ranging from 15+ to freshly born. I’ve also taken care of canines with different medical conditions (cancer, diabetes, etc). My eldest pup currently has stage 2 kidney diseases I’m a stay at home mom. I do put my 3/4 of my kiddos on the bus and have to been home to get them off. The youngest is with me. I have 5 areas, my eldest pup is leash only. We go on long walks in the woods all the time. About: I love animals, all of them. No matter how big or how small, they all deserve love. I love taking dogs on walks, seeing how excited they get for all the lovin from people. I’ve taken care of dogs for many years, my friends and family always ask if I can watch their dogs and make sure they go out and use the bathroom, are feed and have water. And most importantly that they play their little heart out. I’m currently part-time, so I’ll have all the time in the world to make sure your animals are well take care of and that means more play time! I’m available all week after noon. I have a fenced backyard, and I’m easily able to put my cats up, giving your pup all the love and attention they need and deserve!
About: I've been taking care of dogs of all sizes for the past several years for family, friends and other neighbors. I have the most experience with small/medium dogs but have occasional experience with larger dogs. I'm currently a full time teacher so I would be available after school August-May and any time through June to the beginning of August. For my own pets I have crate trained and supervise their time outside. For family and friends pets that I have cared for and walked I follow the owners preferences for care.

“I have to be very picky when choosing sitters as one pup has separation anxiety and will not stay with just anyone. I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem! To have the patience and be willing to work with us through his anxiety is not something you find in all Rover sitters. Glad to have finally found a permanent option!”
