My Chihuahua-Terrier “Charlie” was a rescue. He’s your typical “yappy” Chihuahua that I said I would never have but I couldn’t leave him homeless! My Aussie is energetic and is always looking for a playmate! Can’t wait to meet them! Our dogs are on a schedule but sometimes we spend more days outside than in depending on the weather. They will always be watched and never left alone! I live on over 3 acres and have a huge fenced in field where we go to play and potty! They have plenty of room to play and are always accompanied outside. We only crate if that is part of their routine. We are up early every morning (life of living on a farm!) Our Aussie loves to play until the sun goes down. Our animals typically eat the same time everyday. I feel it’s important to keep your animals on a consistent daily routine! My dog has a strict routine as I believe taking care of pers works better with a specific schedule. He wakes up, gets fed, gets taken out, is given treats, among everything else at the same time. Every day. I work from home and that makes it easy to adjust our schedule. My dog gets taken out early in the morning and fed. After he then gets taken back out later that morning. In addition, we spend some time outside in the afternoon during lunch. In the evening, he’s fed and taken back out for a bit. Later at night, he’s taken out once more and given a dental treat before bed time.

My dog and I will treat your dog just like family during their visit. I succeeded well in training my dog on my own from house training, to off leash, to playing hide and seek, and I understand the important component of upholding and instilling any of your training while you're not present. As of June 30th, I no longer work remotely, but work very close to home. I still will have plenty of time to give your pup comfort and attention throughout the day. I enjoy long walks, so if your pup needs to get in multiple miles, I can make that happen. I have a multi level townhome. Dogs are allowed anywhere in the home except for the kitchen. If your dog loves the outdoors, i have a small deck and a small enclosed front balcony they can hang on. There are plenty of toys and puzzles, but you are of course welcome to provide their favorite toy.

If your dog is coming over to my house they must be good with other animals. I have a male Belgian tervuren (fixed) who’s pretty shy at first, but warms up quickly and would love a play buddy! And then I have a male Dachshund (fixed) who sleeps all day. I do crate my dogs while I’m away, and they can be crated just to give your pet some space to decompress. I have open availability to care for pets. I work for myself so build my schedule around jobs and appointments as needed. I am very flexible with accommodations so please reach out if you have any questions. I do not offer overnight in home care at the moment due to all of my pets at home but will gladly stay at your home with your pet. I can send pictures and videos of your pet to you and don't mind cameras in the home so you can drop in any time and see your fur and/or scaly baby.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was eight years old. Including puppies and rescuing senior dogs. Some of the senior dogs were at the end of their life so I understand the need for compassion and care. “I couldn't be happier with Stacey and the way she cared for my Gonzo. I am always apprehensive leaving Gonzo with someone new, and I've never left him with a sitter who had dogs bigger than he is. But Stacey just loved on Gonzo and made him feel safe and comfortable in her home. He had full access to her huge fenced in yard, a private room for when he wanted alone time, and he spent most of the day on Stacey's heels, or cuddled up next to her on the sofa. Stacey keep me posted daily with photos and little tidbits of info that made me feel comfortable that he was doing just fine for the 4 days we were away. The thing that impressed me most was that on the day we arrived to pick Gonzo up and take him home, while we were packing up his belongings, he leaped up onto Stacey's lap.
