About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! Now we have a 9 month old Portuguese Water Dog and asked Charissa to train her during her stay. It made all the difference, especially since she has been going through a rebellious phase. About: My background screams “I LOVE ANIMALS!”. I love my line of work: fur-covered scrubs and all! I currently live in Louisa and have worked as a vet assistant since 2024. I also worked at the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA for 2 years as a foster coordinator/adoptions counselor. I’m a UVA grad (2021, Go Hoos!). It’s important to me to build relationships with your pups AND YOU! Long or early shifts? No problem, I’ve been there! I’m more than happy to look after your pet as late or as early as needed! I do work 4 10hr shifts a week (M, W, Th, and Fri). I do before/after work drop-ins, lunch time visits in Gordonsville area, and weekend care! For regular visits, I am very happy to schedule a meet n greet with your dog! I focus on safety as a top priority! Because of this, I won’t walk your dog without a leash in an unfenced area, unless otherwise directed. For cats, I make sure their areas are sanitized and safe during every visit.
