“John, continues to be such a perfect fit for Ozzy. Ozzy is usually reticent when meeting people, even some who he has meet a dozen times before, not the case with John. It makes me feel good that Ozzy is in good hands.”

“Emily was so gracious about taking our dog on a moment's notice, and sent us pictures and updates daily which put our minds at rest. We are so relieved to have a caring, reliable choice for dog sitting nearby! I'd recommend this family to anyone.”

“Awesome family! So kind and loving. Our Miso got lots of exercise from their family dogs too! Theresa was so flexible with the timing of our drop off and pick up, made our trip much less stressful! Thank you! Will definitely use you in the future.”

“Best. Sitter. EVER. I've tried and been happy (or not) with many boarders, but Jody goes way above and beyond. She's not just knowledgeable and reassuring, she's sweet and kind and will love your fur babies for you. I live in Roanoke, whereas she's in Moneta. But this was such a blessing!! I wanted somewhere Harriet could run and play and feel free and happy. Jody delivers this in a big way- she has several yards of varying sizes with over animals to play with. I kept telling my girl she was going to summer camp, and it turned out to be so true. I don't think she even missed me that much! Please don't let the distance deter you. Jody even offers pickup and drop off services. Harriet gets so anxious going to a boarder's house, but as soon as Jody pulled up, Harriet started wagging her tail and jumped right in her car before I could say goodbye. She's with the dogs all the time- you won't be leaving your pup with someone who leaves them alone. Harriet is very social, and I can tell from just the pictures and videos that her physical, mental, and emotional needs are being met in every way. Please seriously consider Jody- she's phenomenal. I don't really want to tell you this because I want to keep her all to myself, but that would be a gross injustice. She's the best. I won't even consider anyone else again- I'll just move my vacation plans around.”
“Kari and her family are so wonderful! They took such a great care of our baby while we were traveling for a while. Kari is also very accommodating. We are so thankful that we found Kari and her family as caregivers for Tofu.”

“Alliyah was great with our two cats. Our younger cat can be a handful, but she handled his shenanigans with ease. We received a ton of photos and updates throughout their stay, which were greatly appreciated. We will definitely use Alliyah again in the future!”

“Shawn was wonderful! She kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My pups were very comfortable and happy during their stay. I would choose Shawn every time to watch my pups, they had an amazing time! I didn’t have to worry about my dogs once while they were in Shawn’s care!”

“Samantha is absolutely amazing !! She’s such a wonderful person and loves your fur babies like they’re her own! She keeps you updated and sends the best pictures and videos of your babies, so you can feel at ease knowing they’re well taken care of . Seriously, she’s the greatest ! :) we will definitely be bringing our Lilly girl to her every time !”

“We felt a little apprehensive using rover until we met with Brenda. After meeting her we new our Maltipoo Snickers would be fine. She kept him for 9 days and we received daily pictures and updates. her home is very dog friendly with a large shaded and fenced in yard. We would not hesitate to recomend Brenda.”

“Ashley and her family were great! She sent us pictures and videos of our pups throughout the weekend. I don’t think my lab wanted to leave when I picked them up. We will definitely use her again.”

“Wendy was very reassuring while keeping Sammy. I had only had Sammy for 3 weeks when I needed a sitter for a day and a half. I was very nervous to leave him. Wendy kept me updated with photos while keeping Sammy which really helped me. Wendy has a big fenced in back yard which is also very nice for a puppy or grown dog. I was fortunate she had another puppy arrive the second day so my puppy had someone to play with! :-) I would recommend Wendy as a pet sitter if you find your self in need. She has a lot of experience especially with puppies! You can also read the rest of her reviews as I did which brought me to her in the first place!”

“She is someone who is incredibly devoted to animals; her dedication and love are boundless. I had the absolute best experience knowing that Mia was staying in a home filled with plenty of attention, patience, and love. Karlie is always in constant communication, too. She has dogs of her own, and they truly made Mia's stay much more fun, as Mia is super friendly. Mia returned home ready to sleep and rest after days filled with fun and endless running around—in fact, she didn't even want to leave, given how wonderfully she had been treated at Karlie's house!”

“They looked like they had a great time! Was given plenty of attention and treats. Did not appear overly hungry or thirsty when we brought them back home telling me they were given plenty of food and water. Liked that Lydia has a fenced in back yard and appreciated the daily picture updates and video without me having to ask first. Was also able to get us in last minute and was very responsive. Would highly recommend!”

“Joleen is the sweetest dog sitter to my 3 month old puppy, Luna. I needed her in an emergent situation and she rose to the occasion with fantastic service! She is super dependable, has great rapport with Luna and accommodates my specific needs as a doggie mom. She is a real blessing and Luna adores her. I couldn’t be happier.”

“So grateful for Tiffany! She took wonderful care of our puppy for us and we had such a peace of mind knowing that she was loved on and cared for! We will be back!”

“Marah is truly exceptional to work with. Responsive, kind, understanding, and made me feel at peace watching my dog for a long weekend. If I ever need my dog boarded again, I will without a doubt board with her!”

“Taylor was a fantastic sitter for Oslo. I received updates and pictures, and did not have to worry when he was with her. I will be leaving Oslo with Taylor in the future, and recommend her to anybody in Roanoke looking for a Rover.”

I primarily offer boarding and doggy day care in my home, where pets can enjoy a fully fenced in back yard, a calm family environment, and walks through our quiet private neighborhood near Smith Mountain Lake. Providing care in my home allows me to stay present with both my children and the pets in my care, ensuring they receive plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. During the school year, my availability becomes more limited due to my teaching schedule, but I may still be able to accommodate certain evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight stays with advance notice. I’m always happy to discuss scheduling needs ahead of time to see how I can help. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live in a quiet, private cul de sac just minutes from Smith Mountain Lake, which allows for peaceful walks and plenty of outdoor exercise. We also have a fully fenced in back yard where pets can safely play and explore. As a mom of three and a Special Education teacher, patience, attentiveness, and creating a calm environment come naturally to me. About: You can trust your pup with me! My love for dogs and animals started when I was a child and has grown into a deep bond and genuine care for every dog I meet. I truly go above and beyond when it comes to pet care — and in my book, a little spoiling is always included. ;) I’ve had decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs since 2004, from training my first Mini Schnauzer, Ally, as a puppy to providing specialized senior care as she got older. In 2009, my husband and I rescued our first senior Schnauzer, Smokey, and cared for him through several medical issues including seizures, gastroenteritis, and inner ear infections. I’m extremely attentive to a dog’s needs, personality, comfort, and safety, and I always stay alert to make sure they’re happy, secure, and out of trouble. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I would care for your dog like one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home pet parent, which allows me to give my full attention and care to both my own dog and the pets staying with me. At our home, pets are treated like family and will receive lots of love, attention, supervision, and playtime throughout the day. We have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, potty breaks, and play, but dogs will always be supervised while outside. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, comfort level, routines, and needs to help them feel safe and relaxed while away from home. Whether your pup enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, I’m happy to accommodate their routine as closely as possible. I also understand the importance of consistency, patience, and attentiveness, especially for senior dogs or pets with special needs.

“Both Taylor and Jessica are super nice people and very accommodating. We used their services for our dog and they kept her for us while we were out of town. We would definitely use them again!”

“This is our second time booking Marketa for Cadence's daycare while we were in town for an event. She did a great job with her 2 years ago that I immediately thought to reach out to her again when we returned this year. Marketa is attentive and caring with Cadence and sent us photo updates of how she was doing. She got along well with the other doggos and even cuddled up to her on the couch. I never have any worries about Cadence when she stayed with her, and would recommend Marketa to anyone in the neighborhood. Thank you!”

I currently live in a nice neighborhood with plenty of grassy areas for potty breaks and open space for walks/jogs. My house is large enough to keep small dogs and larger dogs separated to ensure there are no accidents.

“John, continues to be such a perfect fit for Ozzy. Ozzy is usually reticent when meeting people, even some who he has meet a dozen times before, not the case with John. It makes me feel good that Ozzy is in good hands.”

“Alliyah was great with our two cats. Our younger cat can be a handful, but she handled his shenanigans with ease. We received a ton of photos and updates throughout their stay, which were greatly appreciated. We will definitely use Alliyah again in the future!”

“Ashley and her family were great! She sent us pictures and videos of our pups throughout the weekend. I don’t think my lab wanted to leave when I picked them up. We will definitely use her again.”

“This was our first experience with Cheyenne. She & her family are lovely people. They have an amazing fenced in backyard that our dogs thoroughly enjoyed. They were understanding and provided the dog bowls that I forgot to provide for our dogs thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely ask them to care for our pets the next time we have to be out of town.”

“Highly recommend!! Kimberly was flexible with our last minute needs and is great with communicating. We felt completely safe leaving our pup and had a great pickup too. I recommend supporting her business 100%.”

About: I'm an active volunteer with a local animal shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of many ages, sizes, temperaments, I have experience caring for shy, anxious, high-energy, and sensitive dogs, and I'm comfortable with reading canine body language, building trust, and providing calm, reliable care tailored to each dog's needs. Pet care is part of my regular routine through weekend availability when I'm off work. I plan my schedule around providing attentive, consistent care, including walks, feeding, enrichment and companionship, so each dog receives focused, unhurried attention. I care for pets by following their established routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and preferred activities. I take time to build trust, especially with shy or anxious pets, by moving at their pace and reading their body language. I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and calm, attentive interaction, whether that means exercise and playtime or quiet companionship. In a client's home, I respect their space and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment.
