I am also a former Petshotel and Doggie Day Camp Manager for a national chain and have extensive experience handling dogs, cats, and small pets of all sizes and breeds. I am currently accepting small and medium sized dogs for in house day care and overnight stays. I specialize in small and delicate breed types, not usually suited for kenneling or vet boarding. All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. Some larger "gentle giants" can be considered on a case by case basis, just reach out. I believe pets are family! All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

About: As a mom of 2 human children and 1 very special needs bulldog, I can promise you I will be patient, caring and attentive when caring for your fur baby. Whether it’s lots of walks or dog parks or ball tossing playtime they need, or just cuddles and hugs if they want to lay low, rest assured your fur baby will receive the same level of care you would give them. My bulldog Nora has been special needs since day one- we say she is “misunderstood”. Dealing with pet sitters and walkers has been a nightmare for us so I never want another owner to have to go through the struggles we did. “Tina was so wonderful! I was a bit nervous going in as this was the first time I was leaving my 8 month old puppy with someone that I did not know. We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! There was even a storm that rolled by which Maizy is terrified of thunder and Tina helped her feel safe! I would definitely book with her again should we need it!”

About: Please note we are in Troy near Zions Crossroads (about 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and 15 minutes from Lake Monticello). Hi, my name is Katina. I have been caring for dogs as long as I can remember. My earliest memories include setting up agility courses for my german shepherd in my backyard. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement. I recently quit my job to pursue dog boarding full time and I could not be more excited to spend all day with your pup(s)! We spend lots of time on play, exercise and enrichment. Our yard is set up similar to a dog park meaning we have two separate fenced areas for dogs comfort. We have one small fenced area (4ft fence) to accommodate small, elderly, timid and handicapped pups as well as a large dog park sized fenced area to accommodate more playful mid sized pups (6ft fence). We also have a whole home generator for added peace of mind. When the weather is nice we like to spend a lot of time outdoors Health and safety is our top priority. We have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. If your dog shows signs of aggression during their stay they will be quarantined for the remainder of the stay and not accepted back. In order to board with us your dog must be friendly with EVERYONE this includes children (even though none are present in the home, they do come and visit), the elderly, cats and other dogs. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination (I need a copy of the in date certificate that is signed by your veterinarian). Please ensure your dog(s) are free from fleas ticks and intestinal parasites. Our storage space is limited so please only bring food (put food in ziplock bag and write pets name on the bag) , medications/supplements, and a leash. We will provide toys, treats, bowls (we have a variety of sizes both regular and slow feeder), crates if your dog needs one and plush bedding. Please ALWAYS pack extra food. We will not be able to fulfill requests to withhold water from your dog, so if this is something you require please choose another sitter. Please provide an emergency contact who is willing to pickup your dog(s) in case of emergency. Drop-offs/Pick-ups are between 8A-8P by appointment only. Please keep pickup/drop off timeframes to a 30 minute window. I’m a medical student, so I will have to be gone a few hours in the morning, but after that I can cater to any of your animals needs. I get up around 7 AM and head to get around 11:30. I always take frequent breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs and get some sun. Whatever you need, I’ll make sure your pet is well loved and appreciated! My house is always very clean and very spacious. I also live right next to a park and go for walks by myself regularly. About: I’ve been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors pets since I was 10 years old. I’ve taken care of animals of all ages from puppies to senior animals. I work at a school, so this is not my full time job. It would be best to contact me directly for my availability and to figure out what works best for you and your pet(s). I prefer to do meet and greets so I can see the pet(s) usual environment and learn more about where I’ll be staying. I never take pets outside without a leash on for safety reasons.
About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity
About: I have been around animals my entire life. Growing up my father an I have rescued/relocated over countless dogs,cats, and other farm or domestic animals. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11 years old. I am a big animal lover so your pet would be in good hands. They will get a lot of attention, exercise, and love. I am fully able to take care of your pet 7 days a week and all daytime hours. I am available from 6am to 10pm. I can provide a leash if needed and walk only on sidewalks, paths, trails or take them to a nearby park. Safety is my highest priority.

About: I have my associates degree in animal sciences and have been tending to animals of all kinds since I was very young. I have experience with farms along with typical house pets. I am a stay at home mom who loves to spend her days loving on animals and enjoying nature. We go on walks and enjoy each others company! “Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: Hi we are Don and Bobbi! We both have grown up around dogs our entire lives and have always been passionate about caring for animals. Between our families, we’ve had many dogs and cats over the years, giving us experience with pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, we have two dogs and a cat of our own and understand the importance of providing pets with love, attention, exercise, and a safe environment. We’ve also pet sat for friends and family and have enjoyed getting to know and care for their pets as if they were our own. We decided to join Rover because we love spending time with animals and thought it would be a fun way to help other pet owners feel confident that their pets are receiving excellent care while they’re away. We understand our profile is new with no reviews but we promise to provide exceptional care and hope to show that through reviews as we get settled on this app! Bobbi works from home Monday-Friday and Don works from home Monday and Friday. Someone will always be home to care for your animals! Our flexible schedules allow pet care to be a priority. We have a massive yard for the dogs to run around and are constantly going on leashed walks near our house. Our house is their house and we are happy to play with your pup as much as they need!
