About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. There's space in my home to separate if anyone needs a break and I can easily crate if needed or desired. *Crating is for safety and comfort only, I do not use crating as as discipline. I work from home so there is plenty of room in my schedule for playtime, walks, pet-friendly outings and adventures, cuddles, feeds and/or any other specialized care your friend might require. I have an unfenced yard so any outside play will be leashed or in an enclosure. For additional safety, I keep a few dog crates on hand. They are available for pups that are crate trained, in case I need to separate, or even personal preference! Dogs are den animals so when used correctly, some of them (like ours!) love having a cozy space to relax. *Please note, I never use crates as “punishment” in our home, nor do I believe in or practice discipline of animals. I care for and love every animal the way I’d want my sweet boy loved and cared for.

About: I have had animals my whole life! I’m always happy to help friends and family. Life is better with fur babies! Happy to help. I am not working so I am available anytime. I can do drop ins, in home care or at my home. I have two miniature dachshunds that love to play and a beautiful neighborhood for walks. We have gates on our stairs to keep our dogs on one level. I have a crate if needed in my home to keep your dog safe.

“Amy went above and beyond for our little Dot today! She was a life saver as she was available on such short notice. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and worked with us on maintaining consistent training, feeding schedule, and nap schedule for Dot. We are fairly new pup parents and she offered some great advice for some good training techniques to try with Dot. Amy sent us pictures and videos of Dot having a wonderful time! Amy’s property is gorgeous! If I was a dog I would want to go to Miss Amy’s! So very grateful for her and her love for animals. We are so excited we found her and will be continuing care for Dot with her.”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
