At first I was nervous because the pictures had not been updated and honestly the appearance is slightly jarring at first. However if you can look past that, Natalie is a passionate dog owner, her own dogs are healthy, happy and well trained. My pittbull has tons of allergies and requires supplements, oral drops, baths, and topical foam. Natalie was willing to take that on, and provide a routine for my dog so that she could play, socialize, and be well cared for. Natalie gives daily pictures so you can visualize your dog is safe and sound! Don’t judge a book by its cover!! I am so glad my dog found her rhythm and enjoyed her time with Natalie. I work a full time job during the week with availability most days to come home and check on my animals during the day. I have weekends off with some on call days mixed into the schedule. I live on just under an acre without a fence at the moment. I have 3 dogs who are k9 off leash trained, however, any dogs I bring on the property get leash walked around the property for safety for scheduled potty breaks and playtime.

About: Growing up, I have done pet and house sitting in various cities and situations. I come from a family of animal lovers: my mom won't even kill a house insect, and her mom has been know to adopt cats, birds, and even the occasional squirrel! We have no dogs of our own at this point, but I love to watch other peoples' dogs to scratch that canine itch (preferrably behind the ears! 😄) I am a home body with two little ones that are yet to be in school. I will probably be home most of the time your pet is here. We have an unfenced yard with caged chickens, quails, and goats. About: I am a veterinarian who has dedicated her life to caring for animals. I have worked with animals from a young age, including many hours working in vet offices in high school leading up to college and vet school (became a licensed vet in 2020). I am quite comfortable with caring for animals who need medications administered, or more intense levels of care while their owners are away. Working with animals brings me joy and peace, and making sure they are happy and well cared for is my life mission. I believe in fear free handling, and I am happy to work with animals who do not trust unknown people. I am a licensed veterinarian but I am currently in grad school so I am very flexible. I can be home all day if needed, and can provide close supervision. I have a 3 year old female German Shepherd (very friendly!) and cats (mostly outdoor). I have the ability to keep my dog separate if needed but she loves playing with other dogs! I have a full sized truck and the ability to transport animals with me safely. I have 2.5 acres of fenced land for dogs to run and play as well as a small fenced in section adjacent to the house. A pet door offers come and go access to the house. I am free to drop in during the week or board animals for extended periods, and if your animal needs medications administered as part of their care I am very capable. I am comfortable handling large dogs (I have a lot of practice in my line of work as a veterinarian). I am also comfortable with young animals, cats, older animals, and any animal requiring high levels of care.

During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

About: I am a new sitter on Rover, but don’t let that put you off. :) My family has never known a time where we didn’t have pets! When I was five years old, my parents entrusted to me a sweet black kitty for whom I was solely responsible for. Not only did this experience affirm my love for animals, but it also jumpstarted me into a world of responsibility! Since then, we have rescued dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, happily welcoming “bully” breeds and giving them all the love and care they deserve! I’ve cared for elderly dogs and cats with and without disabilities, as well as those who need certain medications or injections. Further, big breeds do not intimidate me- I love them! Perhaps most importantly, I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! ❤️ I am currently a graduate student at Virginia Tech, and as such, my weekdays are fairly busy until the evenings. If you need overnight care on the weekdays, let me know and we can work something out! I typically have a couple meetings in the mornings that I can conduct on zoom, but I do have in person class from 2-5 that I will need to leave your home for. Fridays and weekends, however, are wide open! I have two sweet, playful cats currently and live in an apartment, so it is likely that care will be provided in your house! I often find this is better anyway, as your pet is already comfortable in their home and less likely to feel stress with change.

About: I’ve taken care of my own dog and watched my neighbors dog, making sure they are well fed, get enough time outside and feel loved while their families are away! I’m currently doing odd jobs over the summer and because of this, I am able to spend a lot of time with your pets! I will be out of the house periodically but will not be out longer than 3-4 hours at a time. About: Grew up on a farm so I have experience with small and large animals. My family always had dogs so I am very comfortable around dogs as well as cats. I take care of my friends and families fur babies too! I am a student currently studying at Virginia Tech I also am from the area so I can be here over holiday breaks. I have plenty of time during the weekends as well as the weekdays. I can do daily drop ins to make sure your dog is walked, played with, and fed. I can also stay overnight with your pets if needed
About: I have grown up with pets my whole life. I have had chickens for about 7 years and 4 dogs for over 15 years. I also have some experience with other animals as well. I grew up with three German shepherds and a crazy hyper Jack Russell. We bred our two german shepherds and kept one puppy from the litter so I do have experience with puppies and the patience to take care of them. The two shepherds I grew up with passed away due to sicknesses so I also have experience taking care of sick dogs and giving them the extra special care they need! I have also taken care of friends pets numerous times. I have always had a love for caring for animals and getting to spend quality time with them. Growing up surrounded by all sorts of pets has given me the skills of patience and how to give the correct care and attention each specific pet needs. I’m currently in school for the medical field and have a pretty full schedule in the mornings during the week. But I have a clear schedule Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and am available in the afternoons during the week. I live in the countryside with many acres of open land so I have plenty of space your pets can roam around, play, and not have to worry about keeping them on a leash when they are being watched. If my client is not comfortable with letting them go without a leash I also have an extremely large fenced in area that small dogs to large dogs cannot get out of. I do have a Jack Russell who is old so I keep other animals away from her to make sure she is safe and not at risk of being hurt since she is older. I also have a German shepherd and she is all love and cuddles and enjoys play time with other dogs and would love another furry friend to play with!
About: Hello! My name is Hayley and I am an animal lover of all kinds. I had a chihuahua for 14.5 years until I had to say goodbye to him in august of 2024. Since then I have found joy in helping others take care of their furry family members. My Pedro was special needs so I am comfortable giving meds or helping with disabled animals as well. I promise to take care of your babies just like they are my own! Same day bookings and short notice bookings will be dependent on my full time work schedule as I work 3 twelve hour night shifts a week but please always reach out as I may be available! I am also willing to pet sitting for other animals like chickens, hedgehogs, etc. Just ask!! I am a full time night shift nurse so my schedule is crazy but allows me to spend the days with your pet. I am also able to get several days in a row off and spend 24/7 with your pet, if scheduled within enough time! If selected, I would treat your baby as if they are my own and would go above abd beyond in caring for them. I am unable to bring pets to my home but am more than happy to care for them in the comfort of their own homes.
About: Some of my pet experience includes bathing dogs, taking care of dogs for friends, having my own dog who i care for, and loving all animals. I’ve trained my dog to for certain commands which i believe is very helpful. All my friends come to me when they need someone to take care of their fur babies! I am a college student with a work load, however no job. A lot of my days are spent in my home doing homework and pet care fits into my schedule because I can always be there to play and take you pets out. About: I’ve taken care of my family’s animals for over 10 years. I also have worked as a veterinary assistant since 2020. I graduated undergrad in 2022. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant at VMCVM ICU. I currently work an overnight schedule but am available during the day! I will be returning to vet school again in January after a short leave of absence I’m able to walk, feed, give medications, and play with your animals! I’m comfortable with all types of animals with a variety of health problems and temperaments. I currently work night shift so I’m available most times during the day! I care for my own dog and have him run around the yard for lots of exercise. About: My home is where I tell people "they have me trained well". I love all animals and believe they deserve the best of treatment as they give to us so unconditionally. Any animal in our household is taken care of as they are our children. Our older dog was raised to be kind to smaller animals and seems to think anything smaller than him is his to take care of. We taught this by stroking gently and telling him to "be nice" this is just a "baby". Animals are never hit or disciplined by any harsh means, we reinforce good behavior. Our dogs get brushed every night around 7:00 and remind us if we miss the time and we treat them to a small snack every evening around 8:30 which they know also.
About: Growing up, I have done pet and house sitting in various cities and situations. I come from a family of animal lovers: my mom won't even kill a house insect, and her mom has been know to adopt cats, birds, and even the occasional squirrel! We have no dogs of our own at this point, but I love to watch other peoples' dogs to scratch that canine itch (preferrably behind the ears! 😄) I am a home body with two little ones that are yet to be in school. I will probably be home most of the time your pet is here. We have an unfenced yard with caged chickens, quails, and goats. As a family, we spend lots of time outside and on walks, so your pet will get plenty of time to excercise.

My pittbull has tons of allergies and requires supplements, oral drops, baths, and topical foam. Natalie was willing to take that on, and provide a routine for my dog so that she could play, socialize, and be well cared for. About: Lifelong dog owner with foster experience through rescue. Comfortable with different personalities and committed to safe, structured care. Your dog will be treated like family, with lots of supervision, updates, and understanding of individual needs. I work a full time job during the week with availability most days to come home and check on my animals during the day. I have weekends off with some on call days mixed into the schedule. I live on just under an acre without a fence at the moment. I have 3 dogs who are k9 off leash trained, however, any dogs I bring on the property get leash walked around the property for safety for scheduled potty breaks and playtime.
