“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Walter and his family. Harper has been going to their home since she was a young puppy, and it truly feels like her second home. She is always happy and well cared for, and we know she receives plenty of love and attention while she's there. Walter and his family are kind, trustworthy, flexible, and highly communicative. We couldn't ask for better caregivers for our pup and look forward to many more years with them. Thank you for everything, as always!”

“Once again, Cindy was the best! My dog was happy to see Cindy. She treats my dog like one of the family. She makes sure she’s fed, walked, and sends me pictures and a note. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Cindy is the best!!”

“Alexsys is our go-to dog sitter for our dog, Willow! Our dog jumps out of the car with excitement whenever she sees that she is staying there. Great communication and excellent service every time. I would highly recommend Alexsys!”

“Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“If you're ever looking for a place for your fur kids to stay while you go out of town, I highly recommend Laura. I have 2 neurotic cats; 1 has CH that does not like getting confined in crates/small place and the other is spicy/moody. The stay was short with a (somewhat) unusual request, but Laura took them all in stride and went the extra mile to look after Sam and Cloud. Definitely one of my best rover experience and would not hesitate to ask her again in the future.”

“Yzabella took such wonderful care of Marley, and he had a great time with her and her family!! She kept me updated throughout his stay by sending pictures and videos, which was so appreciated and showed how happy and well cared for he was. I’m also incredibly grateful that she was available on such short notice. Her kindness, reliability, and genuine love for animals truly stand out. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet! 🐾”

“Even thought this was his first visit to Michelle, Rusty was very comfortable wth Michelle and her family. He seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up. I am sure he enjoyed the large fenced back yard.”

“Gabby was great with our pup! This was our first experience using Rover and we couldn’t be more pleased. She sent us text and picture updates daily which was SO nice! It made it easier to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our pup was well taken care of.”

“Michelle is the friendliest and most accommodating dog sitter we’ve ever had. We appreciate her for taking good care of Max. We highly recommend and would avail her service in the future”

“Lori is amazing! She was very responsive to all of our questions during the booking process and took such great care of our dog, Juniper while we were away. This was the first time leaving Juniper with a sitter, so we weren't sure how she would adjust, but we were put at ease right away. Lori took the time to show us around and tell us about how the dogs spend their day in her care. She regularly sent us pictures and updates on how Juniper was doing and we were happy to see what a great time our dog was having. Can't imagine leaving her anywhere else when we go out of town again in the future. Thank you again, Lori!”

“Chris and his family is awesome special thanks to Carla Chris Mom who even keep us updated with everything all the time and take care of our snuggle just like his own baby our snuggle feel like he is living in his own home while we were away for vacations for whole week. Chris is attentive, loving, prompt, flexible, friendly, very professional & very good with dogs . He also has excellent communication skills. Chris is reliable and you can feel comfortable leaving your dog with him it’s second time we left our baby with Chris and his family. He provided daily text updates with lots of pictures. Thank you once again Chris and his Mom and Dad for taking care of our baby snuggle. Snuggle will definitely miss you guys especially Carla and will come back to you guys whenever we go again in future.”

“Barbara took amazing care of my anxious dog. She provided daily updates of how my dog was adjusting. Thankfully, my dog adjusted quickly and had a wonderful time playing with Dobby and the daycare dogs. I was only a little worried my dog wouldn't want to go home because Barbara took such great care of her.”

“Rosie just loves staying with Allison so I took my grumpy old man Tumbles too. He had a great time and I didnt worry one bit while they stayed over night with her. Book with her, you won't regret it@”

About: I’ve been in the general field of caretaking for about 6 to 7 years. I was a full time nanny to a family of 7 children and 3 dogs for a few years before I married, and before that, I had multiple families for whom I watched their little ones, including the family dog/dogs. I also did some exclusive pet sitting apart from my previously mentioned work experience. I managed both kids and pets at once. I’ve gotten to know a variety of dog breeds. Growing up, we always had dogs. We’ve had a labradoodle, a few small mixed breeds, and a bernedoodle. Our bernedoodle, Rocco, I trained myself. He is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met and so smart. I taught fun tricks but also some useful ones like how to ring bells to indicate he needed to potty. I have loved being around dogs and having them in my life. We don’t currently have a dog since my two kids are young, so we can’t afford our own pup right now, although we certainly will get one in the future. That’s why I’m so excited to be able to provide other people’s dogs a warm and welcoming home away from home where they will be loved on and feel at ease. I’m a full time stay at home mom, so I’m almost always home. Apart from grocery shopping, minor errands, church on Sundays, or the rare trip to families, we are home all the time. Dogs that stay with us will have pretty much constant companionship and attention. We will be available for drop offs everyday except most of Sunday. Sunday evenings will be open though. Dogs that love a family environment will thrive here. We are usually up for the day around 7:00 am. My son loves dogs and will happily have a full conversation with them. He has grown up around many dogs because my mom has dogs and is a seasoned rover sitter herself. My husband works in the evenings so dogs will probably stay up and hang out with me as we unwind. We have a fenced in backyard so I can sit on our deck and let the dogs run, play, and potty easily and frequently. We live on a very quiet and friendly Cul-de-sac in the mountains of West Virginia, near Winchester. Dogs that come here will have a peaceful stay and have a lot of fun!
“Kalley was amazing!! I needed a new sitter as my previous sitter stopped doing in-home boarding, and Kalley was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kept me updated daily on how Marley was doing via text and pictures. I knew he was extremely comfortable in her home which really put me at ease. Thank you Kalley to you and your family for taking such good care of Marley!”

“Katherine was absolutely FANTASTIC with my two large dogs! Her home is perfect for dogs of all sizes, and there’s always plenty of friends for your pups to play with. She was incredibly welcoming and treated Max and Zeus like they were her own. I highly, highly recommend choosing Katherine for your doggo watching needs!”

“Our Yorkies were very well taken care over the two weeks we were away on vacation. Linda was kept busy with medication administration, special food needs and even a trip to the vet! We couldn't have chosen a better sitter, and she gets a five star review from the entire family.”

“Jennifer has been reliable and so helpful. She takes such good care of our kitty when e are away and has been willing to check on our fish while she is there too. Thank you Jennifer !”

“So very pleased with Melissa. She checked in daily on Sammy and always sent photos and a detailed — often humorous— update on how he was and what he was doing. I will definitely hire Melissa again and highly recommend her.”

“It’s always a little nerve-wracking leaving your pets with someone new, but Leslie was really fantastic! She was very communicative, went above and beyond, and sent lots of photos of our cats which is always a joy when we’re away from them. We really felt like they were in great hands. Next time we go out of town we will definitely have Leslie as our first choice of pet sitter:)”

“We had a wonderful experience with this Hailey! This was our first time using Rover to book a cat sitter, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and clearly cares deeply about animals. Her communication was excellent throughout, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We will absolutely be booking with her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“We left our 4 cats in Theresa's capable hands. She sent us pictures and updates. She even managed to get our 2 most allusive cats out and was able to pet them. This is quite an accomplishment. We highly recommend her., and will definitely be using her services again.”

“Aly was so communicative and took extra care to interact and snuggle with our cats. We really appreciated her willingness to sit for us last minute and enjoyed our trip knowing she was updating us with pictures of her sleepovers with our girls and Pookie. She was able to administer insulin for our diabetic cat and ensure her dietary needs were met. We were so lucky to find her!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Cynthia, she is absolutely amazing. She took great care of my cats and fish including one cat who requires insulin. She went above and beyond again when I asked to extend my trip, then continued to help after I got sick and had to delay it again.”

About: I have had dogs all my life big and small. Ive pet sitted walked, fed, entertained friends and family dogs as well as my own. I recently took time off of work which leaves me with a wide open schedule.Im available and willing to do weekends or weekdays. Whatever you need. I have my own husky that I walk around the neighborhood a few times a day and would love for your fur baby to tag along. I have a crate , treats and plenty of toys to share.

“Lauren took such good care of our two cats Misty & Cleo, while we were gone for a month! They were happy and healthy when we returned from our trip. She was always on time for our twice daily visits, and we appreciate the daily updates. We have already booked her for our upcoming summer trips!”

About: I have been cat sitting for friends and family for a number of years now. I learned about the needs of cats through running the cat program of an animal rescue for about 6 months. In that time I was able to understand cat behavior, learn to administer medicine and vaccinations, provide for community cats, and engage in TNVR efforts.

About: We have a kitten of our own who was a completely new atmosphere for me. She was sick when we got her so she checked off all of the things I didn’t know how to do like administering medication in a calm way, giving her a bath and making it positive. Cats are skittish and can be hesitant but it takes the right person to know them.
About: From working in a groom salon to pet sitting, animals have always been my first love and you can trust me to care for your baby the right way! I’m currently a growing hairstylist and I’m looking for a side job so with my down time I’d love to care for your fur baby the right way! I have a big yard area, and live right near the C&O canal so I can take your pup on a nice outdoor walk. I have experience in a grooming salon which has taught me how to control dogs that aren’t my own.

“Granite had the best day ever with Alexsys. 30 min after I dropped him off she sent me a photo of a very happy dog sitting in her lap. Alexsys was so great with communication. She sent many photos and let me know how he was doing during this entire stay. We will definitely book with Alexsys again.”
“Gabby was exceptional taking care my dog, Luna! It was my first time leaving her with a sitter and using Rover and she made the experience so much easier. She loved on my pup and sent me updates with pictures and videos throughout her overnight stay. Gabby is professional, friendly, and caring towards the pup and their human. I needed some handholding and she was super kind. I’d recommend Gabby any time!”

“This was the first time we used Rover.com so we were a little apprehensive. Linda made that first time experience wonderful. Words cannot describe how pleased we were with response, friendliness and most of all the care our fur baby received. Would recommend her service without hesitation.”

About: Dog care certified in Argentina, as an animal lover I want to pursue career caring for them. Since young, I used to spend a lot of time in dog walks and parks with them. I believe now, I can provide them the perfect environment of a fenced backyard of 10.000 sqf. I love to exercise and pamper pups and we're easy to reach, even for a last-minute need. With some dog training experience and a lot of love for dogs, I look forward to taking care of your family member like one of our own. Depending on your pup's needs, I will take long playtime or jogs with your dog. If your furry family member just needs companionship and loving attention, I am happy to provide that kind of care, too. Photos of your dog will be shared with you throughout their visit. I love to send lots of pictures of my guests. My house is generally a cage-free environment, but will use your crates if that is what your pup is used to at home. I have a couple of gates to use as necessary to separate dogs during meals and to give them a large, safe play area in our home.
“Lisette is WONDERFUL and her family is also so nice. She was very friendly and lovable, super communicative, helpful, and also flexible. She took great care of my dog and sent photos throughout the day, and he was really happy and relaxed (and in no hurry to leave) when I came to pick him up so I know he loved being there! I definitely recommend her and will send my dog there again anytime she's available!”

“Extremely happy with Tavin as Max’s puppycarer. He Had such a good time and it’s a shame we left the area otherwise we would use her on a regular basis. Very kind and friendly carer. Max was asleep minutes after getting in the car.”
“Anna was wonderful with my dog Diesel. I fully trusted her with him and knew he was having a good time. Definitely recommend her to other pet owners. She was accommodating and flexible! Thank you! He had a blast.”
“Lucy always does an amazing job with Molly. Her and Christian have really helped me with watching Molly as I prepare for a move, but I will still keep them as my go-to dog sitters for when I take a trip, even if they will live an hour away. The dog's excitement as I approach their house to drop her off with them tells me how well she's cared for while there.”

“Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. If you read this Linda, I am interested in that food you had there for your fosters. Please shoot me a message, I may look at ordering it to try next time. Thanks again!”

“My dog had a fabulous time with Kim! She was warm and friendly from the start, and her beautiful house and backyard made my dog feel comfortable and right at home. She even took him to the park, which he loved! Kim was communicative, trustworthy, and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her!”

“My dog is very shy and has separation anxiety but Sarah made her feel right at home. I could see from the pictures and videos just how great of a time she was having. I’ll definitely be brining her back!”

She obviously loves animals and my dog, who is sometimes shy with strangers, immediately liked her and will be happy to see her the next time she comes. I highly recommend her if you need a good caretaker for your pets.”

“Thanks Alyssa. When we are walking Tucker and I always stop and let people walk past. Just to keep everyone at ease. Not all dogs are as friendly as our boy. Tucker was acting out of respect.”

About: Every neighborhood ive lived in neighbors have come to rely on me to treat their pets as well as i would take care of my own family. I always send daily updates of your pets and take the time to make sure your pet is happy while you are away. I treat others pets as my own and make sure they have the upmost health while they are in my care. I also have experience with administering medications topically, orally, and injections. I currently work at a dog boarding facility so I am very familiar with canine needs! I grew up with various breeds of dogs AND cats so animals are nothing new to me :) I work full-time at a Dog Boarding Facility! I keep my schedule on Rover up to date that way both clients and I can be connected on the same page! I'm available for walks in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings (depending on schedule). I am also able to dog pet boarding at my home or yours, which ever you are comfortable with! Even though I do not have a fenced in backyard, I leash walk all dogs to make sure they are safe and get plenty of exercise. My cat is also up to date on all their vaccines and are extremely friendly and will keep your pets company! If need be I can also crate your pet if you perfer! I make it a priority to have the safest area for your pets and have trust with the owners that your pets are in great care while you are gone or need help!
About: I have been a dog walker for 6 plus years and have my own 4 year old bully mix! I regularly care for another dog as well! I give love as if they are my own and spoil them rotten! I give medications, care for wounds, post surgery care and have done chemo treatment trips and after care! I currently have part time hours at work. I am available mornings, evenings and weekends! I have plenty of extra time and love for all your pets! A nice home with a good sized fenced in yard for lots of play time and sunbathing! I have a very playful and loving pup myself who loves everyone and everything! During the work week our pup is only alone about 4 hrs a day and we do have a camera so we can check in on her. When there is another pup in our home we do keep them separate while no one is home for safety and comfort for all. When home they can all run and play as much as they want! Lots of toys and outdoor time! Supervised meal times as well!

“I had to leave on a business and Lisette was able to look after my cat Ogden. Communication was quick and simple, and Lisette was very accommodating . I have no problem recommending this sitter.”

“Was extremely happy with the week Our pup developed some separation anxiety while we were gone Charlie went above and beyond to make sure Cai was comfortable including sleeping on the couch next to him so he wasnt alone or scared Constant communication and pictures daily Highly recommend was a great experience all the way around!!!”

About: Hi there, my name is Kristina and I’ve just recently moved to the Winchester area! Caring for animals has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. With years of experience, looking after pets of all ages, personalities and needs I’ve built a reputation for being reliable, attentive and genuinely invested in each animals wellbeing. One of the biggest advantages of working with me is that I work from home full-time, this means that your pets will never be left unattended and I am able to give them consistent attention to ensure they feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like family whether it’s daily walks, playtime medication reminders or just offering affection and companionship, I make sure every animal feels loved and understood. I look forward to giving your pets the dependable, worry free care they deserve. I currently work from home Monday through Friday. I have the ability to visit your home and ensure your pets are doing well and to provide them any enrichment they may need whether it be walks or play. I currently live in townhouse with my husband and our dog, named Gorgi (Gorgonzola), we go on frequent walks in the morning afternoon and evening. We keep a clean home and have a basement that lets out into a small backyard. I have one X-Large kennel if your pup prefers to sleep in one as well as a puppy pad corner for those late night bathroom breaks. I would be happy to provide a tour our home upon request.

“I can’t say enough good things about how well Maya was cared for. The night before I dropped her off, I had taken Maya on a hike, and in hindsight, not checking her thoroughly for ticks afterward wasn’t the smartest decision on my part. The morning after her first night with Whitney, she discovered that Maya had a significant number of ticks on her. She immediately texted me to let me know what was going on, especially since she had a two-year-old and other dogs in the house and understandably needed to be careful. I was traveling and tried to arrange for friends to pick Maya up, but unfortunately, I couldn’t make that happen. She could easily have told me I needed to find another solution, but instead, she went completely above and beyond. She went out, got tick shampoo and treatment, gave Maya a thorough bath, dealt with the ticks, and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. It was a stressful situation that she didn’t create, but she handled it with so much patience, responsibility, and genuine care for Maya. Being away, it meant a lot knowing that someone was willing to step up and take care of her when I couldn’t be there. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely trust her with Maya again. Highly recommend Whitney. 🙏🏽”

“Wonderful experience with Chantal. She took our two dogs on short notice when our other Rover cancelled. I can tell she loved my dogs and I can tell my dogs loved her! Thank you so much! Will book again when in the area.”

“We had an awesome experience with Agnesa. She truly demonstrated to be a professional and knowledgeable dog sitter/trainer. We felt extremely comfortable leaving our 7 month old 60 pound labrador puppy under her care for the weekend. Agnesa kept us informed every day with multiple updates including pictures, videos, and observations about how our beloved puppy was doing during his stay. Our puppy is a high energy labrador and she managed to take great care of him while keeping him engaged in training sessions during his stay. She made sure our puppy and her dogs got along together and even took them on walks. We are completely grateful of her work and would definitely consider boarding our dog with her again. Highly recommended!”

“Juliana is hands down THE BEST! She is super knowledgeable about how to best introduce your pup to hers. Her house is a haven for pups, with a nice big fenced yard, plenty of toys, and lots of soft places for naps. My sweet old man absolutely loved his time with her, and we will absolutely be using her for all of our boarding going forward!”
