All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. I have experience with bird dogs with high energy. We currently have a bloodhound name Daisy, who is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs and animals! About: I've been a pet caretaker since I was 12. Dogs quickly connect with me for play, walking and companionship- just like you were there too. I have a very flexible schedule with my JMU classes this semester so I have lots of available time to spend with your fur baby. I am currently home for summer! About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.
About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. I have lived on estates as a property manager, and ran my own home repair business for several years. I’m good at handling emergencies, and enjoy fixing things when I have the opportunity
About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. I am a true and passionate animal lover! My schedule is very flexible at the moment. I am happy to give as much or little time needed for the pets.
