“Nadia is amazing! She automatically made me feel comfortable with her knowledge of animals and her presence. Normally I would be worried to leave my dog to go out of the country, but Nadia made it such an easy and pleasant experience. She sent pictures and updates everyday. She respected all of the care instructions I left and made sure Moose was well taken care of. She and her husband treated him like family and made him feel welcome and spoiled with love, which I so appreciated. She truly is one of a kind and Moose really enjoyed his stay with her. I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: I love cats. I have adopted a cat who was abandoned when a neighbor moved. He has changed my life. He is such a sweet boy and petting and brushing him is one of my favorite pass times. He was wary of humans at first but he has warmed up to me as well as my family members.

I am also a former Petshotel and Doggie Day Camp Manager for a national chain and have extensive experience handling dogs, cats, and small pets of all sizes and breeds. All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

I have a very flexible schedule with my JMU classes this semester so I have lots of available time to spend with your fur baby. I am currently home for summer! About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, and chickens. I have been responsible for taking care of them throughout my childhood. In high school, I would dog sit for neighbors and family friends. In college, I would house sit as well as walk dogs. I currently have 1 dog of my own. I have cared for elderly dogs who require additional care as well as anxious dogs that need that extra attention and reassurance. I am home for the summer before going to law school and my schedule is very open and flexible! I love spending times with dogs and animals, so I am eager to do so this summer. My personal dog is fairly anxious and attached so I care for her by crating her when leaving for more than a couple of hours as this is a safe soothing place for her. My family’s dog is less anxious so she is fine by herself. Generally, I walk them once a day through the neighborhood, occasionally take them to dog parks, and play in the backyard with them. We have a doggy door so they go in and out frequently, but I have house sat and dog sat animals in apartment complexes where I would to take them out frequently during the day.
About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. Pets will get lots of loving care, tons of cuddles, and undivided attention while under my care and I will walk for as long and far as your dog (or cat) wants to.
About: I’ve taken care of family dogs & cats since I was a child. My neighbors and family friends have also relied on me for years when they have needed a pet sitter. I work as a nanny on weekdays, 9-5 Monday through Thursday and 9-1 on Fridays :) so I have full availability outside of that for pet sitting! I am unfortunately unable to dog sit at my own home. I live in an apartment where dogs are not allowed so it is preferred to do the sitting in your home!
