About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.

About: I have owned dogs for the past 14 years, but have lived with and cared for them my entire life. I have reared a litter of puppies, raised several puppies to adulthood myself, and taken care of senior dogs up to the end of life. I have lived with dogs raising from 10 to 70lbs, and have fostered several dogs, including several with medication requirements and mobility issues. I enjoy casual dog training for fun, particularly with the use of hand signals, and hope to pursue certification one day. I work childcare in a family residence part time for a few hours a few days a week. I have had plenty of time and energy to take in fosters and care for friends' pets, and have someone at home to care for my own pets should I be needed for overnight care. My own pets have been well-trained (including professionally, in the case of my dog) and are very well-loved. Their happiness and health are some of my biggest priorities in life, and I will always extend this to other animals as well. I prefer to keep to any schedule they may be used to, to give them their space when needed, while still giving them all the attention and love they could want when they need it. Consistently administering medications for animals who need them is incredibly important to me, as is appropriate feeding.

We are close to a couple of dog parks, including Barker Field, and within a few miles of the VMFA, with plenty of green spaces to walk and relax in the fresh air. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and stick to their normal routine. During each visit, I make sure they have fresh food and water, plenty of potty breaks or a clean litter box, exercise and playtime, and lots of love and attention. I also administer medications if needed, reinforce any routines you’ve established, and keep your home tidy by cleaning up after your pet. After every visit, I’ll send you updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve been dog-sitting for about 5 years now. I’ve mainly taken care of small to medium sized dogs but I’m open to looking after larger dogs as well. I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

About: I have taken care of puppies all my life, I feel that I am a person who attracts animals, I like to play with them and feed them very well according to their diet. I'm not working right, now so my schedule is available anytime. I can do morning’s and evening's. About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.
About: I’ve been a pet owner for 10 years, and frequently pet sit for friends and family in my home. I would love to provide your dog with a safe, snuggly space while their people are away. As a dog and cat owner, most of my days revolve around pet care already! While I work in an office during the week, I’m a quick drive from home and have flexibility to run home for potty breaks and WFH as needed. I love nothing more than a cuddly weekend on the couch with my dog Tater and he always loves a friend. I have a fenced in yard, a very dog friendly dog, as well as two dog-savvy cats. I have a crate that can be assembled if needed for your pet. I couldn’t get my Velcro dog off the couch or bed if I tried, so my home is a great space for dogs who like to be extra close to their people.
