She sent us status updates and pictures while we were away, so that we could know what Mozzie was up to. When we came to pick him up, she also helped us with tips and ideas on how to help Mozzie socialize with other dogs. We could definitely tell that Mozzie was in good hands. Definitely recommended!”

About: I've never not had animals in my life! I spent my early years on a working farm and have always had a way with animals. Dogs love me (cats, too!) and I them ❤️ I have many years of experience in the veterinary field and know what to do in emergencies. I am currently working part time and my schedule is flexible. I do work away from home for 5-8 hours a day, split shift. I have dogs amd cats but can keep them separate, if necessary. My dogs are dog friendly, although my beagle mix is very bossy (typical!) Dogs will be in the house with my dogs, but they can be separated, if needed. I can crate, if the parents supply the crate. My own dog eats a mix of wet & dry food twice a day, with one Dentastix in the morning and one Beggin Strip if he poops. I also refresh his water bowl at least 3 times a day because still water sitting there after a few hours kind of freaks me out. I also don't mind giving dogs baths, sometimes you have to if there were certain adventures, but I typically bathe my own dog once every three weeks. I live in a spacious 2-bedroom apartment, with my dog having a bed in each room! He is very spoiled, but he just takes naps very seriously. Dogs are allowed on our incredible couch, but don't worry it is vacuumed at least once a week (as well as the floors!).

I am a teacher so I won’t be working during the summers so I will have unlimited time during the day/night to take care of your pets and their needs! Once the school year starts I can do weekends and afternoon/nights! I have a lot of energy myself so if your pets love to get exercise/play around I am very up for that. I also try to be very thorough with the pet care instructions and will ask questions/for clarification to ensure I am giving your pet the best care as possible.

I can't afford a pet of my right now, which means i'll be super dedicated to yours while they're in my care! I'm responsible, reliable, and have a lot of experience taking care of cats and dogs of varying ages, so you can rest assured that your pup will be in good hands. I work from full-time with a very flexible schedule so I will have plenty of time to play with your pet and lots of opportunities to go on walks. Because of this, I am available for boarding on both weekends and weekdays and i'm very flexible on time. I have a fenced yard and live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood. I will follow whatever rules you typically have with your pet. If that means dog is allowed on furniture, sure! If it means crating your dog at times, you got it! and If it means a 4.25 minute walk every 2 hours on the dot, i'm going to do my best to do that!
About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who can be very anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for animals of all different temperaments, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love spending time outdoors and taking walks, and I know the Richmond area well. With two years of professional housekeeping experience, I’m comfortable caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention to detail I’d want for my own. My goal is to provide dependable care for both your pet and your home, while making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!

She was kind enough to provide twice-daily feedback about their walks, sleep schedule, and general wellbeing, and that helped me relax and enjoy myself. My dogs sleep on the bed at home, and I chose Emily because she was going to be with them at night and because she has so many repeat customers; that tells me all I need to know!
