About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.

About: I am a retired military vet i served in the Army for twenty one years. I have cared for dogs my entire life. No matter what size the dog is I can handle them. They call me the dog whisperer. Most times people ask me what did I do to make the dog relax. I have a really soft caring voice, that is very tusting I will care for cats but I don't have as much experience with cats as I do with dogs. I will also care for other animals if needed I also have knowledge to house train puppies. I am fully aware of how to treat a older dogs with medical issues. Bottom line leaving your dog with me is like leaving them with family I work part time. I don't work weekends or holidays. I will have more than enough time with your fur baby. I'm home most days. About: I have owned dogs for the past 14 years, but have lived with and cared for them my entire life. I have reared a litter of puppies, raised several puppies to adulthood myself, and taken care of senior dogs up to the end of life. I have lived with dogs raising from 10 to 70lbs, and have fostered several dogs, including several with medication requirements and mobility issues. I enjoy casual dog training for fun, particularly with the use of hand signals, and hope to pursue certification one day. I work childcare in a family residence part time for a few hours a few days a week. I have had plenty of time and energy to take in fosters and care for friends' pets, and have someone at home to care for my own pets should I be needed for overnight care. My own pets have been well-trained (including professionally, in the case of my dog) and are very well-loved. Their happiness and health are some of my biggest priorities in life, and I will always extend this to other animals as well. I prefer to keep to any schedule they may be used to, to give them their space when needed, while still giving them all the attention and love they could want when they need it. Consistently administering medications for animals who need them is incredibly important to me, as is appropriate feeding.

I have crate trained all of my dogs but has free range of the house. I believe in good manners with positive reinforcement training, structure and schedules. About: I have had at least one dog all of my life. Often times more than one. Currently living with just one Lab who would love a visitor/playmate. I foster emergency overnights on rescue transports. I have been a caregiver for dogs of all ages and kinds; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with separation anxiety. I have grandcats I house sit for and have also taken care of chickens. I work from home with tons of flexibility. I have one adult child at home in graduate school, they have a health condition which keeps them home most days too, so your pet is never short of human companionship. I live in a great neighborhood for walks on a leash. I provide dog sitting in a one story home with a large, wooded fenced yard in central Richmond neighborhood. Great for dogs of all ages and abilities. I live with one Lab that's a large couch potato. He also likes his human to sit outside with him rather than be out there all by himself. So we spend lots of time outside together. Pets are permitted on furniture and the bed, whatever makes them feel at home. I do have a large dog crate that can be set up if needed, but only if requested as it will put your pet at ease. The most important factor is making sure your pet feels comfortable, keeping their routines and habits to lessen the stress of a new place.

One thing I would recommend is more of a written update about Kota's day that went along with all the wonderful pictures to paint an overall summary of her day. About: I’ve been a pet owner for 10 years, and frequently pet sit for friends and family in my home. I would love to provide your dog with a safe, snuggly space while their people are away. As a dog and cat owner, most of my days revolve around pet care already! While I work in an office during the week, I’m a quick drive from home and have flexibility to run home for potty breaks and WFH as needed. I love nothing more than a cuddly weekend on the couch with my dog Tater and he always loves a friend. I have a fenced in yard, a very dog friendly dog, as well as two dog-savvy cats. I have a crate that can be assembled if needed for your pet. I couldn’t get my Velcro dog off the couch or bed if I tried, so my home is a great space for dogs who like to be extra close to their people.
