“Once again Cori made me feel really good about leaving my pups in her care. She’s a doll to work with. As if one quirky bull terrier isn’t enough, how about adding a 1 y/o bull terrier and leaving both for 2 weeks? Cori had her hands full but dealt with the issues the young one caused (regression potty training issues, territorial issues, etc). As always, very communicative and understanding about the young one (we figured out that since Pixie was newly rescued, that she must’ve been confused about yet another home she’d been shuffled off to and that was probably the source of the angst). Bodie wasn’t neglected or ignored in this. He may have even gotten to sleep in a human bed… 😂 We don’t have any trips planned any time soon but Cori’s still top of my list (if she’ll have Pixie again!) when I need someone.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was younger, cleaning the litter box once a day every day. I deep clean it with a hose, and dawn dish soap once a month and refill it with new litter. I spend about an hour playing with them or until they get bored. Cats are by far my favorite animal and I love them dearly. I also tend to feed the strays around my house.

About: In our home your dog will receive a lot of love from our family and companionship from our two dogs. We have a golden retriever and a Bernese mountain dog. They are both 3 years old. We have bred each of them once and are used to having small puppies around. We have a large, fenced backyard for your dog to play safely. Your dog will be part of the family during their stay. We will take them on daily walks and will receive lots of cuddles. Besides intermittent outings, I will be home with your dog, the whole time. I have had dogs for many years, but I have dog sat dogs for the last two years. Your dog will be a part of our family. I homeschool my children and so we are home most of the time. We do have outings but are usually back within 4 hours. I can usually accommodate our schedule if your pet needs care more often than that, if I know in advance. About: I have had pets all my life. Right now I have a rescue dog from China and another dog I just adopted from the culpeper shelter! I have 2 cats as well. One of my cats is a tripod therefore needs extra attention. The other cat is an orange boy so you know he’s a handful. I am in between jobs so I have plenty of time watch your pup! My husband also works from home 2 days a week. NO CHILDREN in the home. I have a very large quiet yard to let your dog out to play (fenced in) . I have room to set up crates and food stations. About: With the exception of a few years during college, I have always had animals in my life! I grew up always having a cat and a dog in the house and taking progressively more responsibility for their care as I got older. Now, I'm owned by two dogs (a boxer mix and a lab mix) and two cats, one of which followed my boxer and I home one day and decided to stay. They are by far the best part of my day. With all these fur babies, I've run the gauntlet of pet care challenges, from pilling cats, to dealing with allergies, to working on behaviors like marking and excessive barking. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but what I do know is that it's made me incredibly patient and compassionate with any animals in my care. Plus I've learned a trick or two along the way! I currently work for myself (from home) as a research consultant. While I do have periodic meetings throughout the week, I usually have a significant amount of flexibility in my schedule during the mornings and afternoons. I often find myself going out on multiple long walks throughout the day and generally finding any excuse I can to be outside. So why not use that time to hang out with some new animal friends? My flexible schedule means that I can accommodate most any pet needs. I go for multiple walks every day both on my own and with my own dogs, so it's easy to incorporate lots of activity in your pet's day. I also have an enclosed front porch that we all love sitting outside in the shade on, just enjoying the fresh air. And on hot days, I even have a kiddie pool that one of my dogs likes to play in to cool off. Both my dogs are very friendly and would love to make new friends! One of my cats even enjoys horsing around with the dogs. My dogs have free reign in the house, but usually hang out with me. I'm happy to have your dog(s) make themself at home as well or to crate them if that's your preference.

I have the most experience with small/medium dogs but have occasional experience with larger dogs. I'm currently a full time teacher so I would be available after school August-May and any time through June to the beginning of August. I am also more than happy to provide updates as often as you’d life, whether that’s daily or hourly check-ins, photos, or videos so you can see how your pet is doing. I pay close attention to your pet’s behavior, health, and surroundings, making sure they’re safe and comfortable both inside the home and in outdoor spaces. About: I have had cats ever since I was little and have also worked in a cat rehoming and adoption center! I also love dogs and am comfortable walking them and tending to their needs. I’m a teacher on summer break so I will have plenty of time to play with your pets and give them all the attention and care they need! I am not able to board dogs where I currently live (due to my lease) but I can travel to you and give all the services needed! I am comfortable traveling to homes as well as boarding kitties.

I make sure every pet is well loved, respected, and fully taken care with food and water and also walks and treats! “Once again Cori made me feel really good about leaving my pups in her care. She’s a doll to work with. As if one quirky bull terrier isn’t enough, how about adding a 1 y/o bull terrier and leaving both for 2 weeks? Cori had her hands full but dealt with the issues the young one caused (regression potty training issues, territorial issues, etc). As always, very communicative and understanding about the young one (we figured out that since Pixie was newly rescued, that she must’ve been confused about yet another home she’d been shuffled off to and that was probably the source of the angst). Bodie wasn’t neglected or ignored in this. He may have even gotten to sleep in a human bed… 😂 We don’t have any trips planned any time soon but Cori’s still top of my list (if she’ll have Pixie again!) when I need someone.”

She has transformed her home into a dog’s luxury resort, complete with total attentiveness, ultimate amenities, and activities that a dog could only dream of. In addition to all of that, her communications are fantastic and Cash is always so excited to arrive at Ms. Leslie’s and never ready to leave. I’ve never had such peace of mind leaving Cash if/when I have to be out of town.”

Making sure we found a drop off and pick up time that works for us both, to sending multiple updates and photos on how my pup was doing while there.
