“We had to find someone at the last minute to watch our German Shepherd. As soon as we Meet Andrea and her family we felt good. Huge backyard with lots of water bowls. A loving family and Dexter loved the dogs and attention. Andrea sent me videos and updates. She also gave him a bath and cut his nails. I WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!!!”

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Brwnt! From the moment we met, it was clear that he genuinely love and care for dogs. Peter Lamar was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while I was away, which gave me a complete peace of mind. Brent provided regular updates, photos, and communication, making me feel connected and reassured throughout the entire time. I returned home to a happy, healthy Golden Doodle. Brent’s professionalism, reliability, and kindness exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with him again!”

“Amber was a great host to our fur baby! When we dropped him off, it was like we didn’t exist! lol He had already established a connection. We also loved that Amber wanted to meet with us first which meant a lot. Overall, her communication was great, we got pictures along his stay and he gained a friend!”

“Finn and Fiona had a great time staying with Connie and her family. They kept my dogs busy and happily playing, which is not an easy task as Finn is a 6 month old lab! She sent tons of pictures and videos, so I was able to relax and know that our pups were doing great and having a mini vacation too. They even went for a walk to the park which can be quite an event as Finn is an enthusiastic leash walker. Both Finn and Fiona came home and promptly fell into an exhausted sleep :] I would recommend Connie as a pet sitter and plan to book another stay for Finn and Fiona for an upcoming trip we have in November. ”

“She was absolutely phenomenal! She cared for our two medically complex cats for 9 days, and as someone who was very anxious about leaving them, I truly could not have asked for a better sitter. She was incredibly communicative throughout the entire stay, attentive to their needs, and so kind and reassuring whenever my anxiety got the better of me. Knowing that our cats were in such capable and caring hands made being away from them so much easier. I would strongly recommend her to anyone with medically complex cats. She went above and beyond, and we will absolutely be booking her again. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care she gave our cats!”

About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. I also worked as a vet assistant for a year, so I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own.

“I really appreciate the time and care you all took in caring for Three. You spent quality time with her and even cared for my plants. I look forward to your services in October.”

“This was our first time using this service and we will definitely use again. Jessica was wonderful! She was very sweet and helpful! Loved getting the pictures and Rover card with updates! Thank you!!”

“Jessica did a wonderful job checking on our older cat who can sometimes be particular with who he shows affection to and has some quirks. She left great pictures and updates and that put us at ease on our vacation.”
About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
About: I have many years of pet sitting, up to several pets at a time, including owning many of my own since I was a child. I am patient when meeting new pets, for I understand it may take time to warm up to new people (and other pets!) I’m friendly, and talk to most animals just like they’re humans (lol). I enjoy spending time playing around, going for runs, as well as providing companionship when around pets. We love snuggling in bed over here! I’m not easily intimidated by a shy pet, and will treat them with the same respect and patience as their owners. I have high expectations for my own, so I believe it is only normal and natural to give the same in return for others’ pets so their families are comfortable with who they leave their furry friends with when away. My boy is the friendliest dog ever! He absolutely loves meeting other dogs (and the owners to receive even more affection 🤣). He’s got a lot of energy, which can overwhelm others the first day (he just wants to play!) He is very gentle with small dogs. When meeting others’ on the first day, If they are uncomfortable with his energy level and show they need time to warm up, he immediately backs off and resorts to my side until they are ready. He is very submissive in this sense which is great for no escalation and providing other dogs with the time they need to adjust to a new setting/new friends. I work a full time day job Monday-Friday 8-4, so please be sure prior to requesting services, your pets are able to accept this schedule. I am unfortunately unable to stop in midday as my lunch break does not allow for me to make it very far under 30 minutes. My pets along with the others’ I have boarded have had no issues with a routine working schedule, but every pet has different needs. ❤️ I care for others’ pets like they are my own! It is my duty as a trusted sitter to care for others’ pets in a way they need. I predominantly care for pets in others homes as I have several pets of my own. I do not have any issue with camera systems being in shared spaces to assure families feel safe having someone in their home with their pets.
“Elizabeth is an amazing Rover! She cared for our senior cat and provided compassionate care. She was very responsible and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us daily photos and updates. We came home to a very happy cat and everything was left neat and orderly. We appreciate you Elizabeth! Thank you so much! 🐈”

“Crystal was wonderful with our dogs! There were some tech issues on my end but she was understanding and patient. It’s nice to have someone to help care for our pets when we are away and trust that they will be fine.”

“She was very nice and my cat seemed to really like her. We were nervous to leave him alone for so long but seeing how well he warmed up to her really eased our nerves.”

“Finding Melissa and having her help care for and pamper Sky during these days has been a true blessing. Both my cat Sky and my family clicked with her immediately. Melissa is incredibly loving and empathetic, as well as helpful and proactive. She kept us posted on everything. We are so grateful for her excellent support. The fact that she is bilingual adds even more value to her work. Thank you so much, Melissa! 🙏🏼”

About: My first cat was named Jasper. He was a tiger stripe American shorthair with Jasper colored eyes (hence his name). He was a stray we took in, and we noticed he had a slight limp. After a visit to the vet, and some x-rays were taken, it was clear his left hip had been injured when he was younger (vet approximated his age to be 10 at the time). I cared for him while he had his cone, after his leg was amputated (poor guy!), ensuring he received the proper medications on time. My second cat was an all-black stray (not sure his breed), but I named him Kuro. I had him for a year and some change and gave him to my friend after moving to a pet-free community. I missed having a cat, so I searched and found Naruto, who was only 10 days old, and I adopted him on the spot! I've taught him all his little quirks, including back-talking lol! I trained him to come at the sound of a particular whistle, to jump up on something after I tap, or scrape it in a certain pattern, and taught him to play fetch! I am able to administer medications Intravenous, or Sub-q, as well as advise on best care practices!
“1st time using Rover and Judy and couldn't be happier. Judy was very responsive and took great care of my boys, gave me regular updates and photos of them being....them. lol. She took them time to make sure not only were they fed, but ensured they had everything they needed before she left.”

About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.

“We are so very happy to come across Audree! She is a wonderful person, super nice and accommodating! We left our fur baby with her for day care as a meet and greet to see how they both took to each other. During his stay Audree was very communicative, send us pictures and videos. She also was engaging- asking questions about our fur baby making sure she knew all details about Boomer. We loved that. Boomer was happy at Audree’s and came back exhausted. Thank you for taking good care of Boomer and being such a good listener! See you in July!”

About: Hi there! With over 10 years of equine handling experience and many years of caring for dogs and other pets, I’ve learned that good pet care is about more than just showing up. It’s about paying attention, being reliable, and taking the time to understand each animal as an individual. I love getting to know their personalities, routines, and little quirks so I can make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of pets, whether they’re energetic, shy, senior, anxious, or somewhere in between. I’m very attentive to body language and changes in behavior, and I’m always happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and any specific instructions you leave for me. I believe patience, consistency, and a little extra attention can make a big difference in how comfortable a pet feels with someone new. I also know how important it is to feel comfortable with the person caring for your pets. I value clear communication and will keep you updated throughout your booking, whether that’s through Rover cards, photos, or a quick message about how things are going. My goal is for you to be able to enjoy your time away without having to worry about whether your pets are being taken care of. Whether you need a quick drop-in, regular walks, an extended house sit, or care for your farm animals, I’m happy to help. I treat every animal I care for with the same patience, kindness, and respect I would give my own. Rates are not set in stone, and I’m happy to work with you when I can to make sure your pets get the care they deserve. I work part-time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule throughout the week and on weekends. This allows me to work around different routines and give your pets the time and attention they need without feeling rushed. I’m happy to accommodate different schedules when I can, and I do my best to keep my availability flexible for my clients. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m mindful of both the animals and the space they’re in. I always approach each visit with safety in mind, making sure doors and gates are secure, following feeding and care instructions carefully, and paying attention to anything that seems out of the ordinary. I also try to be aware of each pet’s behavior and body language so I can respond appropriately if something seems different or unusual. I understand that having someone come into your home to care for your pets is a big responsibility, and I treat that trust with respect. I’ll take care of your home as I would my own and make sure your pets receive the attention and care they need while you’re away. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care while giving you peace of mind that both your pets and your home are being looked after.

About: Bottom line is, I will do everything possible to make your pet safe, comfortable and happy in your home or mine. I understand the anxiety of leaving your loved one in someone else's hands. I suffer those same feeling and I have known and trust my caretaker 100 percent! I have owned, raised and cared for dogs my entire life. I've experienced the various needs, habits and personalities of our four-legged friends through the years. While I love spending time with puppies, I also enjoy taking care of adult dogs or dogs that require special attention. My most valuable qualification for taking care of your pet is that I absolutely Love and respect our four legged children. You can trust me to always make your pets comfort my first priority when I am with them. I am self-employed and can adjust my working hours to suit your needs. I will also be retiring soon and will have more available hours to care for your pet. I have a fenced in back yard and a doggie door (that can be closed when needed). I also do my best to get to know each individual pet and their requirements.

“Warren watched our dogs for our wedding and honeymoon, we would recommend him anytime! We received pictures and the dogs were well taken care of even though they can be a handful.”
