Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. I studied for two years at a shop with a dog nutritionist, have apprenticed with a dog trainer for the past year, and just completed a six month program with Highland Canine Dog Training in North Carolina. About: I spent a lot of time with pets( mostly dogs) from taking care of close friends pets. With dogs I found better ways to behave them when they were with me, and considering I would take care of them a lot I managed to teach them tricks. I love spending time with animals of any kind. I had a cat when I was 13 and it was tricky because I got Lenny as an adult I would say. I learned how to manage litter boxes and the right food for both cat and dog. I do a lot of research when it comes to food so I know they have the right nutritions and I’m also skeptical when if comes or bagged food, so I do make my Own at times. I own 2 dogs now, one is a puppy and the other about a year and a half old. I’m also trying to save to go into MTC to study as a veterinarian to spend more time with animals. Taking care of pets fits in just perfectly. I currently have a part time job, but doing pet care on the side definitely helps balance my routine out and get some fresh air from working. In both client/my home, since I’m an early bird, I take them on walks to get them moving and give them time to potty, as I do with my dogs as well. I give them water and food, of course this varies on any directions given by the owner. They do get a lot of playtime and treats for good behavior. I make sure to let them potty at least every 2-3 hours out of habit from my pets.

About: I have owned animals my whole life and absolutely love working with them. I used to work at a boarding kennel/ training place and even a veterinary hospital so I learned a lot. And know how to handle all kinds of different breeds. I have two dogs of my own, so they are set on a schedule. Just as your pet would be too. I currently am a stay at home mom so my schedule is wide open. I would love to fill my time by walking or doing drop in visits with your pets! I have a huge backyard for them. I also have two dogs of my own who get along great with other dogs , so they can run and play with them.

I have worked in a number of animal hospitals, including a a 24-hour emergency hospital, which has given me a lot of experience! My dog works well with others so there shouldn't be any issues boarding your pup if needed. I would also be able to take your dog to the park & play with them to make sure they get the exercise needed, or if they’re more laid back & would prefer to snooze, they would be able to do that as well. **Please let me know in advance if your pet has any aggressive tendencies. I look forward to loving & caring for your pet as if they were my own! When I am not at work, I am at home with my son. I am able to come over for walks or to play with your pet while you are away! I care for others pets as I would my own. If I am watching more than 1 at a time, I make sure they are all comfortable & happy so no one gets hurt & adjust as needed. I make sure each pet gets enough attention & love!

“We were so happy to leave our boy, Denver, with Jesse and Emily. Denver is almost 14 and so giving him the love and attention he’d get as the only dog in the home was really important to us, and not having to worry about him getting stressed out by younger dogs who constantly wanted to play for 6 days. We couldn’t have been happier. Denver was right at home, getting walks that he loves as well as plenty of chill time and attention from Jesse and Emily as well as their two girls. Jesse and Emily were great about sending us photo updates that let us know that Denver was comfy and happy. Denver is a finicky eater especially when not at home and they were great about paying attention and giving some treats here and there to get his appetite going. We would definitely leave Denver with them again!”
