“Ellysia is the best! My pups had the greatest time with her and her family. Updated daily with pictures and activities. We will definitely be using her again and recommend her hands down.”

“Amanda did a fantastic job with Willow. I was impressed with Amanda’s follow up. I received pictures multiple times a day. She understands that Willow is my world. She made sure that I knew that Willow was eating interacting with the other dogs and comfortable where she was. Not only will I rebook with Amanda. I already have.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Leidy! She took excellent care of our senior dog, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was obvious our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for ❤️ We would absolutely book with Leidy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”
“Abby was great! I appreciate that she took the time to meet my boy before his stay to ensure that all the 4 legged friends would be suitable together. I asked for lots of pictures and videos and she delivered. It's difficult being away from my boy so getting constant updates was a huge plus!”

“Absolutely great family taking care of Monty not just as my dog but as their own. Monty was such a happy boy when I picked him up. He says he wants to go back one day soon again. Such a beautiful family affair that made my travel so much easier knowing he s in such good hands including their super sweet and beautiful dog. Thank you so much”

“Kayce was wonderful! My good boy, Twix, needs a lot of play and attention. The boarding was only for three days, but I was still worried. Kayce made those worries vanish after the meet and greet. She was super understanding, very attentive, and gave Twix all the attention and care he needed. She was very thorough in going over what he needed and sent me regular updates on how he was doing. I can't recommend her more.”

“Kendra did amazing Niko!! She let us know how he did every single day with a detailed explanation which made me feel super comfortable. She kept my mind at ease. Will forever be going to Kendra ❤️”

“Kelsey is very flexible and responsive. My dog looked sad to leave! Oddly enough, we are excited to drop our dog off for our next vacation because we knot she'll have a great time. We highly recommend Kelsey!”

“Very professional and practical. The communication was punctual and timely. I was very pleased to see our dog having such a lovely time during my time away. Highly recommend Anita for your Rover needs.”

“What a great experience, everything was smooth and Lucky is just the best. You can tell how much she cares for animals. 10/10 recommend, she also updates you days with pictures of your pup.”

“Absolutely great with dogs, very genuine as a person and shows what dogs need when away from their owners and still be in a safe and comfortable place. I will use again as my next boarding is already booked. Thank you for being a true dog lover! My dog can t wait to come back :)”

“I would like to thank Alana for taking care of my little fur baby. I had booked with her for an overnight boarding stay. I greatly appreciated receiving updates and pictures. My doggie looked so comfortable and well taken cared of. I will definitely be utilizing her boarding services again in the future.”

“Jay continues to be our go-to sitter in Richmond! I cannot recommend her highly enough. She takes great care of our dog, sending us photo and video updates, and is very responsive on text. We feel so safe with her!”

“I am more than pleased with the ❤️ and care DAMACIA provided for my 3 months puppy. I would recommend her and we will be going back. Was a little nervous at first, but she reassured me he would be fine even around other Fur Babies.”

“Johnnie provided exceptional care for my pet and maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process. I truly appreciated the updates and attention given to my pet’s needs. I would definitely use Johnnie’s services again and highly recommend them to others. Thank you so much for the outstanding care!”

“Adam was great with Poppy. He’s a gentle soul who clearly loves animals. However, when his kids were there overnight, we learned that Poppy isn’t comfortable with younger kids. Adam made it work for the brief period the kids were around Poppy, but it’s not realistic to need to separate young kids in the home and the visiting dog. Sadly we’re still looking for a sitter.”

“Wow!! Could not be any happier. Miss Kim went “above & beyond” in every aspect of caring for our 8 Mo old Basset for a week. She is a true dog whisperer. Gave us some good advice as well due to her experience. Will definitely look her up in the future. Mac was super happy, super clean and had a great week. We used a kennel in the past and it didn’t work out so well. Thank you so very much.”

“Highly recommend Kayce!!!!! We used Kayce to house sit while watching our senior cat Morticia. Kayce was AMAZING. Best vibes. Mature, fun, open & honest, responsible and patient. Great communicator! She was wonderful with Morticia and sent pictures of their interactions. She respected our home as though her own. We will not hesitate to use her again for sitting the cat and/or house sitting.”

About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. My family has always had more than 2 pets at a time. I have been a reliable pet sitter of cats and dogs for friends, family, and neighbors for years. I have helped train my 2 dogs since they were puppies. I am currently working part time with flexible hours and will have plenty of time to play with your animals! I am available Monday through Friday and most weekends. I currently do not have any pets, but my home is pet friendly since my parents bring theirs sometimes. Both in my home or at a clients home I would play with the pets indoors and outdoors and make sure they get plenty of mental stimulation.

“Hana is amazing! She’s so flexible and understanding when it comes to schedules and demands of each animal in the home. She truly cares about our animals (she will leave our tv on for our dog so she isn’t lonely) and does enrichment treats without us even asking her to. I trust her with our babies 100%”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends and coworkers for about five years. I grew up around lots of dogs and cats, I currently own two dogs, a 5 yr old Husky named Bane and a 10 yr old shepherd mix with kidney disease named Seven. I’m also in the military and understand how hard it can be to leave your fur babes in the hands of a stranger, so I do my best to cater to my client’s comfort. I currently work full time but have the ability to check in on your furry friends in the morning and in the evening, in addition to house sitting on weekends. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs who can be crated and kept separate from other animals when necessary, and there are multiple rooms in the house in case space is needed.
About: Growing up I always wanted a dog and so one day my father actually brought a friend's dog home for a week stay but we soon found out we would get to keep him. He was a Jack Russell/Terrier Mix and his name was Mumuz. Unfortunately due to old age and many more health complications my parents decided to let him rest in peace. Not too soon before that I decided to adopt a dog of my own. Chief is his name and he's a handsome black lab who's just a sweet gentleman. He's my child and he's the best decision I ever made. So over the years I've learned to take care of dogs mostly and I did cat sit for my neighbor's cat,April, and I would administer insulin for April's diabetes and I would cat sit her next cat who was disabled with only three legs until my neighbor sadly passed away. My love for animals runs deep and I want to help other pet lovers have a reliable sitter that they can trust to watch their child because all animals are really are children. But I am about to start the Spring semester at a local college to earn my associates degree in veterinary medicine and then eventually work at a vet clinic or hospital. So I may be young but my love for animals has never stopped growing. That's why you should choose me because I love animals, working towards the veterinary medicine field, energetic, outgoing, very understanding, and great communication. I do currently work at a private doctors office Monday-Thursday but always willing to drive back and forth and am hoping to use Rover to make a little bit of extra money until I complete my associates degree and get a job in the veterinary medicine field. I generally will ask the client about the pet's food and eating schedule first to make sure of any specifications needed. If the owner has a fence I will mainly be outside playing with the dog(s) to help get out any of that extra energy they may have. If the client permits I love to take the animal on a car ride unless the animal is scared of car rides. If so I would walk to a local park to still get out the extra energy. When getting back to the house fill up the water bowl as soon as possible if not filled already so the dog(s) can be hydrated after a good workout. Finally a little bit of cuddle time to show affection and give comfort to the animal when their owner is not there. And always take potty breaks every 2-3 hours especially right before bed so that the dog(s) can get some rest until they have to go out again.

About: I grew up with many dogs of all sizes and personalities — from calm seniors to hyper puppies — and we also fostered animals growing up. Before having children, I worked at a doggy daycare, where I learned to care for multiple pets at once. Currently, my husband and I board for family and friends, and we’re excited to expand our care to more pets because we truly love animals! I am a stay-at-home wife, so your pets will have someone at home with them throughout the day giving attention, cuddles, and care. My husband works outside of the home, but he’s happy to help and loves animals too! We have three kids (infant to 8 years old) who absolutely adore animals, and we welcome both dogs and cats of all personalities. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fenced, we have a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely explore and enjoy the outdoors while leashed. We also love walks, playtime, and games of fetch for dogs who enjoy daily exercise. With us, your furry family members will receive lots of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so she’s available to care for pets throughout the day. My husband is home outside of my work schedule, so together we can provide attention, supervision, and love for your dog or cat almost all day. Safety: Your pet’s safety is our top priority. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fully fenced, we use a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely roam and explore while remaining leashed. Inside the home, pets are supervised at all times. Trust: We treat every pet like family, providing attentive care, consistent routines, and regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. Environment: Our home is loving, calm, and kid-friendly, with plenty of space for pets to play, rest, and feel comfortable. We welcome dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities.

“Alison took amazing care of my French Bulldog, J3, while I was at work. J3 can be a little particular—he loves attention, has specific routines, and can be sensitive to heat—but Alison followed all instructions perfectly and made sure he was comfortable, happy, and safe. I received regular updates, including photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. It’s not easy to find someone who treats your pet like family, but Alison truly did. Thank you again for being so reliable, loving, and attentive with J3. We’ll definitely be booking with you again!”

“Abby, had great communication with me while our pup was there. She sent me pics which helped put our minds at ease. What sold me on her was that within 5 minutes of me reaching out with our dogs info and request for care she responded back with her address ready to take him immediately. If we’re ever in the area again we will definitely be using her services!”

“It was my first time using the Rover app and first time for my puppy in a sitter. Kayce and her family was amazing!!! They take good care of Max while me and my kid's are away. Max had a blast during his stay, able to socialized with other dogs and kid's. I would definitely use Kayce again in the future. I would highly recommend her.”

“Amanda is hands down a five-star sitter! She watched my dog all day and did an incredible job managing her high energy; she really went above and beyond to get all those "zoomies" out, and I picked up a very happy, tired pup. Her communication was also top-notch throughout the day, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. If you’re looking for someone reliable who truly knows how to engage with dogs, I highly recommend booking with Amanda!”

“Sabrina was extremely accommodating as I needed day care coverage extremely last minute. She allowed the my pup & her dogs to get comfortable with one another and sent me updates throughout the day without prompting. I truly appreciate her kindness and expertise and will definitely book with her again.”

“Jeanette was great! She was able to accommodate Romeo in a very short time frame, and had to wake up early for the drop off. She kept me updated and Romeo loved her! Overall great experience.”

“We had such a great experience with our sitter through the Rover app. She was incredibly accommodating and adjusted seamlessly to our schedule, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. From the moment Tilley arrived, it was clear she genuinely cared for her like one of her own pets. She kept me updated, made sure Tilley was comfortable, and gave her so much love and attention during her stay. Her home had more than enough space for Tilley to feel relaxed and active, and I really appreciated how intentional she was about keeping her engaged with daily activities and playtime. Tilley came home happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed her time there. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands, and I would absolutely trust her to watch Tilley again in the future.”

About: As a former teacher and parent, I bring a level of patience, structure, and attentiveness to dog care that closely mirrors what children need to feel safe, supported, and well-guided. I understand how important routine, consistency, and clear boundaries are—not just for behavior, but for overall well-being. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s a part of my daily life. I have hands-on experience with multiple breeds and temperaments, including my own dogs: three Huskies, a Dalmatian, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This has given me a strong understanding of both high-energy and more sensitive breeds, and how to balance activity with proper rest. My home is run as a family-supported, professionally managed boarding environment. My husband, a veteran, is also present and supportive, adding an extra level of attentiveness and reliability to the care your dog receives. What truly sets me apart is the intentional structure I provide. Dogs in my care are guided through a balanced routine that includes play, socialization, rest, and calm time. This helps prevent overstimulation, anxiety, and unsafe behaviors. This type of environment doesn’t just keep dogs safe—it helps them build better habits. Dogs learn to settle, share space appropriately, and become more comfortable around other dogs in a controlled setting. For many dogs, this supports improvements in reactivity, socialization, and overall behavior, helping them become more confident and well-adjusted outside of the home. I strongly believe that dogs thrive when their needs are met through routine, rest, and structure. Just like people, they require downtime and sleep to stay balanced. A consistent schedule helps prevent stress and overstimulation, creating a calmer, happier experience. I have experience caring for dogs with a variety of needs, but I am intentional about ensuring that each dog is a good fit for my environment, so I can maintain a safe, structured, and positive space for every dog in my care. Pet care is my full-time focus, and my daily schedule is built entirely around the dogs in my care. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, scheduled walks, outdoor play, and one-on-one attention. Dogs are cared for on a structured routine that includes activity, feeding, and designated rest periods to keep them balanced and comfortable. I’m able to maintain a calm, organized environment where dogs receive reliable care, attention, and structure every day. I provide care in a structured, well-managed home designed for safety, balance, and low stress. As an owner of 5 dogs, 3 different breeds who are trained, I know what dogs need to thrive, feel loved, and thrive socially. While dogs are treated with love and attention, this is not a free-roam environment. I operate a crate-structured system that allows each dog to rest, reset, and avoid overstimulation while also keeping all dogs safe. In my home: • Dogs are comfortably crate trained • Dogs are crated during rest periods, overnight, and when unsupervised • Dogs are rotated for safe, controlled interaction • Dogs are never left to freely roam together without supervision This setup allows me to safely care for multiple dogs while still providing individual attention and a calm atmosphere. For safety: • Dogs must be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs • No history of biting or unsafe behavior • Dogs must be able to remain calm when confined • Collar or harness is required at all times This environment is best suited for dogs who are used to structure, routine, and boundaries.
“Deven and Tyreek were AMAZING with Ms.Jaxon. She was very timid at first but they won her over very quickly. Now she gets excited as soon as we enter the neighborhood 🥹 And the photos💕💕💕”

About: Hi my names Amadi. Thanks for taking a second to check out my profile! I have a little over 15 years of experience in training dogs, helping with socialization skills, and general caretaking. Currently I work from home, a light schedule as I’m testing to obtain another specialty license. In my daily life I used to foster dogs for a rescue. Most of my fosters came from very rough beginnings and had many social and/or anxiety issues but we have been able to overcome them💙 With that being said I totally understand how some dogs are unsure of new people and I’m 100% willing to take the time needed to get to know your fur baby. I do currently have an iguana in his own enclosure and I have extensive reptile knowledge and I’m willing to assist with those as well. I currently have a light schedule that I work from home, so I am available for a lot of pet care needs. I do frequent bathroom visits play, and meal time. I am 100% about safety first. I will not accept any new dogs that will put anyone else in jeopardy. Although I have experience in housing a large number of dogs from my time fostering out in Goochland, and my time working in a doggy daycare, I do not wish to take on a large number of dogs at any one time.

“I owe Darnell x100000. Everything I could ask for in a walker. I was nervous because my dog can be a puller and especially crazy with new people . Darnell took great care and things went better than I could imagine. Will definitely hope that he’ll be available in the future . Ice loved him! Thanks again bro !”

About: I am a 26yr old, active, organized and compassionate mom looking for some extra hours. I grew up on a horse farm with a couple dozen cats, and multiple dogs of all sizes over the years. From English mastiffs to Chihuahuas. My own pup bodhi LOVES playing tag and wrestling. We own our home. There are baby gates throughout to separate the dogs from the playroom, daughter’s bedroom, and kitchen when we’re eating. We have a 6 foot fully fenced backyard with cameras. Before moving into my own home, we shared a house with 5 other dogs/roommates which they got along with well. I don’t mind animals being on furniture as long as they have boundaries, they’re welcome to get up and snuggle. We have multiple dog beds, two couches and a love seat the animals can lay on. As well as a cat tree, two litter boxes, and cat beds in the windowsills for sunbathing baby’s. I have a 3yr old daughter that has grown up around animals. Rats, cats, snakes, small and large dogs, ect. and loves the daily feeding and petting new friends. We wake up around 8:30am, let the dogs out, fill water bowls and eat breakfast while the dogs play in the yard. Depending on the weather, the dogs like to stay out for awhile! Once it starts to heat up they come in to relax. They let us know when they want to come and go usually. They go out again around 5pm-6pm, eat on the patio, then come inside to chill. They go out again at least once before bed, sometimes more often. Really easy going. They have toys inside and outside, as well as water bowls. We go for a walk on the weekends or cool evenings with my daughter in the stroller. They have dog friend that come to play often. I have blink security cameras that I can see and talk to the dogs on while I am not there. My dogs stay out around the house when I leave but we do also have two XL kennels incase. We also have baby gates to seperste if someone needs some alone time. We feed our visiting doggos in a separate room to avoid any possible food aggravation but there is always water down 24/7.

About: I specialize in dogs that need a little extra grace and a lot of patience, but I also love a social butterfly! Having raised a reactive high-drive mix and managed the pulling power of large breeds like Labs and Great Danes, I know firsthand that not every dog is an easy walker. I bring a calm, highly disciplined, and observant approach to every visit, ensuring your dog feels secure and understood. My Special Skills Include: Reactive & Anxious Dog Handling: Creating safe, low-stress environments for sensitive souls. High-Drive Breed Management: Experience safely handling and exercising powerful, high-energy working breeds. Behavioral Reinforcement: Utilizing consistent treat training, professional handling techniques, and keen observation of canine body language. Large Breed Experience: Confident leash-handling for strong pullers. Whether your dog is a socialite who loves making friends or a sensitive pup who needs a sitter with unshakeable patience, I tailor my approach specifically to them. Pet care isn't just a part of my routine—it is my full-time dedication! As the owner of A&A Professional Pet Care, my schedule is built entirely around providing your pets with the absolute best care and companionship possible. Here is what I can provide for your furry family members: Reliable Midday Care (9 AM - 6 PM): I am available Monday through Friday to provide the perfect midday break for your pet, whether they need an engaging walk, a fun drop-in, or just some focused playtime while you work. Early Morning Adventures: I am wide awake and ready to provide early 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM walks to get your pup's day started off right with plenty of exercise before you head out the door. Weekend Coverage: I offer weekend care on a select, rotating basis, providing you with trusted pet sitting or drop-in coverage for those busy Saturdays or quick weekend getaways. Consistent, Recurring Schedules: I specialize in setting up recurring weekly schedules for drop-ins and walks, providing your pets with a consistent best friend and giving busy working parents total peace of mind. Whether I’m staying at your place or visiting for a drop-in, your pets are treated like family. My approach combines physical exercise with mental engagement—I love incorporating short, positive training sessions into our day to keep their minds sharp. They’ll get plenty of 'tummy rub' downtime and scheduled feedings, but they’ll also get the structure and play they need to stay happy and tired out. Your dog won't just be watched; they’ll be active, engaged, and thoroughly spoiled.
About: I love all animals but I’m a dog lover through & through. Yes.. Even the stinky butt, stinky breath, so ugly that they’re cute, accident prone, jumper, barker, puller, escape artists, babies too. I was raised with 2 boxers who have made their way across the rainbow bridge. I raised a super mutt for 6 years who has also crossed over. I now have a Rottie mix who was adopted through Chesterfield Animal Shelter going on 4 years ago. She is, in addition to my human babies, my dog child. She is the best of friends with my kids. If you ask my oldest how many brothers and sisters he has, she is included in his total … 😂 I have 10+ years of experience walking/pet sitting neighbors, family and friends dogs but im in my second year of pet sitting full time. I can’t express enough the joy it has brought me. I’ve worked with puppies, seniors & everything in between of all sizes. I’m familiar with giving oral medication and have learned how to properly perform CPR on dogs. I fully understand & respect that each animal is different & has their own needs and personality. As well as their owners. This is why my care goes beyond maintaining. I’m full of patience and love & It’s important to me that i strive for comfortability. I have taken on pet sitting full time! My regular returning clients are a priority but i still have plenty of open room for new clients! I understand that for each pet, their wants and needs may vary. I am big on respecting what makes everyone the most comfortable and cared for. I strive to leave your pet feelings enriched and at ease by the end of my visit.

“Lisa is amazing and took great care of my boy, Henry! She provided updates and photos while dog sitting and has a nice home with fully fenced backyard to accommodate any dog. Henry enjoyed his stay and we'll definitely look to work with her again for dog sitting needs.”

“If I could give 10 stars, I would do so!! I recently moved to Virginia and needed to board my beagle for an out of town trip. I was very anxious because I haven’t connected with a place that I felt comfortable leaving him. Roxana put my fears to rest immediately. The frequent updates, photos and videos of my pup having the time of his life eased my mind and allowed me to enjoy my trip. I will 100% book with Roxana again.”

“Alison is amazing! I was a little worried about how Louie would be once we left but she did a great job reassuring me he was ok! She didn’t skip a beat with her updates and plenty of pictures! I can tell he felt the love from her just as much as I could tell just by the pictures! I would definitely rebook if she’s available!”

“Laura was fantastic! She sent updates and pictures everyday. Nellie had the most fun with Laura and her family. I loved how they really adopted Nellie into the family for the week!”

“As this was my first time using Rover, I was super nervous about leaving my baby. But the moment I dropped him off, I instantly felt at ease. From the regular check-ins to all the adorable pictures, I truly couldn't have asked for a better sitter for Loui. I was able to relax and fully enjoy my trip knowing he was in such great hands. I would 100% recommend Deven & Tyreek to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet. Thank you both so much for taking such amazing care of my baby! 🐾💕”

“I have used Radka and James many times to care for my dog while I’m away. As a retired veterinarian, I can appreciate the great, loving, attentive care they provide. I never worry when my four footed friend is at their home.”

“Excellent sitter. She was so professional and caring. She walked him she played with him. I got pictures everyday. Bruno got along with her baby. They became good buddies. I can tell Bruno miss Snoop her pet. When I have to go away again I definitely want Myrna to be the sitter. You will feel good about leaving your pet with her”

“Matt was absolutely amazing and so easy to work with. This was our first time spending a weekend away from Kappy, and Matt really put us at ease with constant updates and photos.”
