“Teona and Louelyn were great with my dog. He is stubborn about taking his medication. They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”

I have open availability to care for pets. I work for myself so build my schedule around jobs and appointments as needed. About: I cannot remember a time where I haven’t owned a cat. From adopting them out of shelters to adopting them out of our garage; I have absolutely adored them. I’ve administered many medications throughout my time along with bottle fed kittens every 3-4 hours.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. We do not have a fenced in yard but have 2 acres of property that we would leash your dog and take for walks around the property. About: We’re a dog-loving family with experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. We have two dogs of our own: a senior Lab/hound mix and a middle-aged Great Dane. We’re comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding schedule, and house rules. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is home with the dogs most of the time. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks throughout the day and plenty of attention and interaction. We’re happy to accommodate dogs who need more activity as well as those who are content to relax and hang out with us. We have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside and play. Our fence is approximately 3 feet high and made of hog wire, so we’re best suited for dogs who aren’t jumpers or determined escape artists. Our own dogs respect the boundary. We also have a dog-loving 4-year-old, so dogs must be comfortable and safe around children. Our dogs are friendly and accustomed to sharing their space with other dogs. At night, visiting dogs sleep downstairs on their own dog bed or one of our designated “dog couches.” Crate-trained dogs are welcome to use their crate if that is what makes them most comfortable.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Since I’m out of school for the summer I have plenty of time to care and love on your fur baby I care for your pet in your home by following the daily routine. I have a fully fenced backyard with a 5-foot chain-link fence, providing a safe and secure space for your pet to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I do not have neighbors directly adjacent to my yard, so there is minimal concern about pets being distracted or stressed by animals on the other side of the fence. I am a lifelong animal lover and currently share my home with a senior dog, whom I've raised since she was 8 weeks old, and a young cat who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old as well. Having cared for pets through every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra attention—I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like a member of the family. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel at home while you're away. I personally allow my pets on the furniture, but I fully respect each owner's preferences. If your pet has specific rules, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, or restrictions, just let me know and I will be happy to follow them to ensure consistency and comfort during their stay. I believe communication is important, so I am also happy to provide updates, photos, and messages while your pet is in my care, giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and well loved.

“Teona and Louelyn were great with my dog. He is stubborn about taking his medication. They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”
