“Leaving our dog with Kristen was the best boarding experience she'd ever had! We don't often take a vacation without our dog, but the handful of times we had in the past, she was traumatized when I picked her up. She isn't crate trained and hates the little kennels at the vet and other commercial boarding facilities. Kristen's farm was like a vacation for her while we were on vacation! She loved the big open yards, having the run of the house, and being around the other dogs. Kristen is a warm, caring, responsible animal lover. It was like our old girl went to stay with a favorite aunt for a week! When I picked her up, she was dirty and tired and happy. ? Such a wonderful experience! She likes it if I scoop her box several times a day. The dogs are fed twice a day, and walked several times. My Dad or I will walk our younger dog Molly around the neighborhood or on the Appalachian trail. Dinner for the dogs is at 7pm and "last pee" is before bedtime (usually 10).

About: I have worked in pet care/home care for over a decade! I work as a dog walker for a company in Berryville, and I also work as a groomer for a Newfoundland Breeder with show dogs. I have had experience as a vet technician as well! I am comfortable will all types of dogs and would love to meet yours❤️ I provide daily dog walking services and breaks, in home boarding or house sitting. Dog walking and pet care is more then simply providing the basics, I appreciate the trust that owners give when having someone provide care for there beloved animals. Respect, genuine love, trust and a building relationship goes into each pet a care for. Pet care is full time for me, and I am available weekly and in the weekends. My schedule is generally flexible and I can usually accommodate even last min requests. However I do occasionally have a fully scheduled week and any house sitting or dog sitting requests would be easier to schedule with a couple weeks notice. I do not currently have a fenced in yard, but I provide walks and potty breaks by walking on a leash as needed. I live close to 2 dog park’s and I love to take them there to burn off energy ( as long as dog parks are not an overwhelming experience and the owner agrees it is ok to visit one ), I also enjoy bringing them along as a running and hiking buddy on the several nature trails near me. If I am watching a pet in their own home, I will just keep up with the normal routine as stated by the owner, and of course always check with you to make sure any new activities we try are ok

“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard!
