I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: I am currently a college student studying zoo and wildlife biology, and I hope to have a career in either wildlife rehabilitation or working at a zoo. I have a good amount of experience with animals; I have been around animals my whole life, my grandfather was a veterinarian, and I have been pet sitting since high school. I also worked as a kennel attendant at Augusta Valley Animal Hospital. I currently volunteer at the Humane Society and have at the SPCA as well, walking dogs and performing other tasks. I am hoping to do some pet care over the summer to earn some money and get some more experience. I will be doing an internship 3 times a week, so I am only available 4 days a week. I live a little bit out in the country, so we have some land and a private and safe road for walks. There is very little traffic, so it is a peaceful area. About: Lifelong dog owner with decades of experience caring for dogs both big and small. I work from home and am able to provide maximum companionship and plenty of exercise. Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. A tired dog is a good dog :) feel free to bring your pet’s crate if you’d like! I grew up with border collies and labs, then rescued my own dogs in adulthood. One of my rescues was a very sick 3-month old puppy that I raised, so I am well-versed with puppy care. I do not currently have pets living in the home, so your dogs will have the run of the place! I own my own home on a quiet circle street. My yard is an expansive quarter acre of grass with access to miles of mowed walking paths off my backyard. When a visit starts, I like to take the dogs on a “Welcome Walk” to get acquainted in neutral outdoor space. I prioritize safety and clear communication (with owners and dogs!) to create a comfortable experience for all. I look forward to taking care of your wonderful pets! I work from home, so I am flexible for drop-ins, last-minute needs, or regular walks, and can give your dog consistent companionship…and some fun of course! Rain or shine, I am happy to take them out. I provide a treats (if allowed), a dog bed, bowls, toys and backup leash (but I prefer you bring the leash your dog is familiar with!). About: Just the 2 of us. Our sweet boy crossed over the rainbow bridge, and while we’re not quite ready to get another dog, we love making new paw friends! We both work from home, and have opposite schedules when leaving the house, so one of us is normally home! It’s a perfect set up for your pups ‘home away from home.’ We take at least 2 walks a day, plus dog parks and car rides! Dogs are free to roam around the house and fenced in yard.

But I’m Toni M. and I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness and autism. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. After some research, I decided to give Rover a try and stumbled upon Joe's profile. After reading the glowing reviews, I reached out to him, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I contacted Joe, he was warm, friendly, and had a great sense of humor that immediately put me at ease. I ended up booking a four-day stay for my dog, Elsa, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. Ironically, I found out that a friend of mine also knew him, which made me feel even more comfortable. When I picked up Elsa after her stay, I was amazed by how relaxed and happy she was. Typically, she can be anxious after a change in environment, but this time was different. She was bright, cheerful, and completely stress-free. In fact, when I dropped her off, she seemed so comfortable with Joe that she didn’t even notice I was gone! I've already scheduled more time for Elsa with Joe, and I can confidently say he will be my go-to caregiver from now on. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and creates a loving environment for your pets, Joe is the one! Highly recommended!”
“Hillary has watched our dog three times and we’ve had wonderful experiences with each visit. I can tell that she has gotten to know our dog well and truly cares for her. Hillary communicates regularly with updates and photos that we really enjoy. I feel very comfortable when my dog is with Hillary and her family because I know she is safe and receiving a lot of love.”
“Sophia did a wonderful job taking care of my dog, Louie, while I was away on a trip. She made sure Louie was well taken care of and I could tell that he was very comfortable staying with her. “Sean and Alyssa always take the best care of Banjo! They send me pictures and videos throughout his stay, and I can tell that he has so much fun with them. They take him on walks everyday, to the dog park to play, and they even make treats for him. When I pick him up he is happy and content, and I know that he’s had a great stay. You can tell they are so intentional with the care they provide, I highly reccomend Sean and Alyssa when you need someone safe and reliable to watch your pup!!”

“Rebecca was the best! She was so flexible in meeting me to drop off/pick up my dog, and I could tell that my dog loved spending time with her. She was smiling and wagging her tail when I picked her up and I know she had the best time. She sent photos throughout her stay and kept me in the loop. “Kara and her family were amazing with my husky! They had him for 5 days while we were out of town and I have nothing but great things to say about them. My boy was well taken care of, he was happy and communication was consistent (something I highly appreciated) They took him on walks, played with him and gave him lots of love. “Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
“Tiffanie was beyond amazing! Her kindness and love of animals was evident during our first "meet and greet." Leaving my anxious GSD was a concern, but Tiffanie's confident and compassionate manner easily quelled any fears. Tiffanie updated me daily with pics and provided daily walks in the park with my fur baby! Most noteworthy, however, was my pooch had reemerging symptoms appear of a recent medical condition and Tiffanie handled it compassionately and without complaint! She was a true blessing to both me and my pooch! I HIGHLY recommend her.”

“Amy did an amazing job taking care of our Luna! She did a great job communicating updates with plenty of pictures and videos. Luna got to go on hikes and became best friends with Amy’s sweet dog, Sylvie too! Amy had great attention to detail- Luna is a poodle so we always pack a brush in case it’s needed, but have no specific expectations with it, since it’s definitely labor of love! Amy is the first Rover sitter to actually brush her! We would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking to board their pup!”
“Miss Valley had an amazing time with Diane and her family. She enjoyed nice walks with her kids and seemed as though she really enjoyed her time with Diane. Diane communicated daily on how she was doing and sent photos as well. I will definitely be rebooking with Diane again!”
