“Min and Matthew were exceptional sitters for my girl, Rani! Not only did they play with her endlessly (seriously, Rani has zero ability to self-regulate and they went with it!), they also cared for her as their own pup. When she was being finicky about eating, Min took the time to spoon feed her just like I do. Min also send so many pictures and videos, which helped me feel so at peace knowing Rani was well taken care of and loved. I will definitely be sending Rani back to Min and Matthew’s in the future…the 40 minute drive to/from our place is more than worth it!”

“Rover had a great time with his new found friend Butcher. Tara was great at sending daily updates and being accommodating when our flight got delayed. She has a very big fenced backyard for the dogs to play. Rover will be back whenever we are out of town again. Thanks!”

“My dogs Huey & Edward had a great time with Alicia & her boys. So happy to have found a great rover near me that I can trust with my dogs! She gave them great exercise & so much love.”

“Erin and her family were absolutely amazing! Our dog Millie was so well cared for and genuinely loved during her stay. The communication was excellent throughout—we always felt confident that she was in great hands. We will definitely book with Erin again the next time we travel. Huge thanks to Erin and her family for taking such wonderful care of Millie!”

“Five stars for Laura! Due to a family emergency, we had to find a last minute sitter for our lab. Laura was extremely responsive and accommodating throughout the entire experience. During our pup’s stay, we received various photos and videos of him feeling at home and having fun. She clearly loves animals and makes sure your pet is loved. I would absolutely book with Laura again! Thank you Laura!”

“Chris and his family are always so kind and awesome. This is the fourth time we've left our snuggle baby with them, and he always feels like he's at his own home and is so happy staying with them. Thank you once again, Chris, Carla, and Bob, for taking care of our boy like always. We will miss you guys but will keep in touch and will leave our snuggle with you, even though you are moving to a new place soon.”

“Maki and Joel were fantastic with our puppy! I loved the pictures and videos they sent, and also the detailed updates each day. I could tell our little girl was well loved while she was with them.”

“Tamara was great with Toby! She sent pictures of him every day during his stay! I can tell he was cared for as well as he is at home, and that he enjoyed his time with her! I have already rebooked with Tamara for my next trip! Thanks Tamara! :)”

“What an amazing experience! From the very beginning Kristen was so helpful! This was our very first experience using Rover, and also our first experience with leaving our precious Furbaby in someone else’s care! We drove all the way from Florida to visit Washington DC and unfortunately we were not able to bring Eleanor with us to the Smithsonian museums! Lol! So we were in need of someone to take care of her while we were sightseeing and I am so thankful that we found Kristen and her beautiful farm! We left Eleanor at the farm for three days, and it seems like she had a blast! Kristen was great with communicating even though I was a little neurotic about checking on Eleanor, she had no hesitation with reassuring me that Eleanor was in good hands, and well taken care of! I highly recommend her Kristen and her beautiful farm to anyone that needs their precious babies to be taken care of and loved just like they are when they at home!”

“I cannot thank Michelle and her family enough for watching Bella multiple times! Michelle is great with sending pictures, and keeping me updated as to how she is doing, Of course Bella loves to cuddle with the entire family as well. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!”

“Joel and Janelle were wonderful hosts to our pups! We especially appreciated how much they communicated. Our dogs came home happy and look forward to staying with them again.”

“There’s nowhere else my Luna wants to be when I’m away, than in Kelly’s home. It means so much to know that Luna is safe, happy, and loved, playing with dog friends and a wonderful family when she’s not with me. Couldn’t ask for a better situation! So appreciative and thankful!”

“Renee was amazing watching our dog for the weekend! You can tell how much she loves dogs and how connected to them she is. She was communicative leading up to the stay and gave a lot of updates and pictures throughout the weekend. It was such a peace of mind knowing our dog was in good care and having a great time in Renee’s care. Highly recommend her!”

“Terri was absolutely wonderful. She let us do a meet & greet before leaving my pups which really gave me peace of mind. She had a nice & clean environment. Daily reassurance of how they have been doing along with a ton of pictures and to top it of she was so kind to gift them some new toys to keep!”

“This was our first experience with Rover and everything went smoothly. Anahita (and her husband) were lovely and responsive and sent a daily pup photo. I didn’t press for details, can only assume by her demeanor that our girl was comfortable and well tended. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Anahita again.”

“Perfect family for Ace..He loves children ..Charity is very caring and was very understanding when I had a medical emergency and had my sister pick him up when I was in the hospital..The best”

“Jennifer was awesome checking in on my 2 cats while I was away at a conference. We texted and also spoke via phone about each cat’s need, how they may respond with a new person, and my expectations. She spent the time of the short check in to ensure they were fed, watered, and did play time with them. She also kept me apprised the entire time. I plan to use her in the future and highly recommend her!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly second nature to me. I’ve worked in a veterinary office for five years—both in the kennel and as a veterinary assistant—so I’m comfortable handling pets with all kinds of needs, from energetic puppies to seniors who need a gentler touch. I earned my Bachelor’s in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and my Master’s in Animal Science from Clemson University. Throughout school, I worked in research labs and on university farms, gaining hands‑on experience with many species and learning how to care for animals in a wide range of situations. I now live in Harpers Ferry with my two dogs and six chickens, and I work for an animal genetics company. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, cattle, goats, and more. I’ve raised orphaned animals, supported very sick pets, and provided long‑term care for elderly companions. My husband also has experience caring for his family’s pets and helps care for ours, so your pet will always have someone attentive nearby. At home, I currently have Hallie, a Brittany spaniel mix, and Beamer, an Aussie mix—both friendly, social pups who love having new friends around. Whether you’re local and planning a getaway or visiting the area and need a trusted sitter, I’d love to welcome your furry family member into our home and treat them like one of our own. I work from home so I am able to be with your pet all day for doggy daycare and pet sitting. I am available for drop-in visits during the day in the Harpers Ferry area. I have a large fenced in yard and extra crates! I allow animals do be on my furniture as long as that is what their owner allows. My dogs are very active so frequent walks are great!

“Charity was super responsive and sent pictures of Jax right away! My schedule was a bit in flux and Charity was very understanding and willing to work with me. Jax came home happy and tuckered out from a day of playing!”

“Maki is so kind, she agreed to watch Gin on late notice. Gin definitely had fun and Maki’s! Maki was great at communicating and sending pics of Gin throughout the day! Definitely recommend!”

“Abby and her husband were great hosts! Awesome communication and everything was made easy and smooth for a last minute request. Their dogs Maple Syrup and Moose were such good puppy hosts and played well with our dog. We received plentiful videos and pictures of the fun!”

About: I grew up with 2 Labrador retrievers, who I grew a special bond with where I grew to love taking care of dogs! I now have a 3 year old German Shepherd pure bred, who I raised and helped to train. I just adopted a Hound, who is a 2 year old rescue. I love walking my dogs everyday, and also driving them to parks as well. I feed my dogs everyday, and have always been known to be taking care of dogs my whole life. I am 21 years old, and a student at East Carolina University. I come home very often, especially during breaks, and live here all summer! My pets are apart of my everyday life, and I am willing to take care and spend valuable time with pets whenever needed and necessary for you! I am willing to do just about anything with your pets, such as spending time playing with them, walking them, going to a park, feeding them, making sure they go to bed safe, whatever fits you and your pets needs!
About: Hi, I’m Tess! I live in Charles Town, WV with my two-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Louie, and two cats, Tatiana and Rudy — so your pet is walking into a home that already loves animals. I take a slow, easy approach to dog care. I let dogs sniff, wander, and just be themselves, whether we’re doing a neighborhood walk, a quick potty break, or a longer trail outing. Every walk is just two dogs at most, so your pup gets real time and attention. I always send photo updates along the way so you can see how they’re doing. I welcome dogs of all sizes who are friendly with other dogs, cats, and people. For boarding, I have a large fenced backyard and keep things small and relaxed — more like a home than a kennel. I also offer occasional house sitting for dogs who are happiest in their own space. I’d love to meet your pup! Feel free to reach out to check availability or set up a meet-and-greet. Fridays are my day off, so walks are unhurried and get my full attention. For boarding, I'm home all weekend, so any dog staying with me has someone around rather than sitting alone in an empty house. Dogs staying with me have access to a large fenced backyard and are never left alone outside. Inside, I keep a calm, low-stimulation environment. My Cavalier Louie lives here full time, so any boarding dog will be introduced to him gradually and supervised until I'm confident they're comfortable together. I do a meet and greet with Louie before confirming any boarding stay. For house sitting, I follow the owner's routine as closely as possible so the dog's environment feels as normal as it can while they're away. Photo updates are sent throughout any service.
“Hihly recommend! Jennifer is a wonderful doggy daycare host. Our boys were excited to spend the day with her and her sweet dog "Sammy". Jennifer sent a few pics and a note to let me know how our dogs were doing.”

About: Through my own dog owning I’ve learned how to keep the peace between many animals. My family loves to bring all our dogs together so my home facilitates pet care. I care for my pets daily and your pet will join our routine and receive care through their entire stay. Interactive activities provided. Sun-Thr available. Fri-Sun case by case basis. I have three dogs, one elderly small dog and two energetic very friendly medium sized dogs. The small one is kept separate and has scheduled potty times. The two others roam free and have scheduled feeding times and activities that your pet can join! My home has a doggy door so outside will be accessible at all times, I have a fenced in yard. If not potty trained, pet will follow my elderly dogs potty routine. Reactive dogs will be kept separate. Please inform of all your pets needs and habits.
About: Hi! I’m a work-from-home mom of three amazing boys, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, so being around animals wasn’t just a hobby — it was a way of life. I’ve owned pets my entire life and have also fostered many dogs over the years, so my boys have grown up learning how to properly handle, respect, and love animals. We recently lost our sweet dog last year and are taking a little break from owning one, but our home feels happiest with paws around. Dog sitting allows us to share that love while giving your pup the attention and care they deserve. Because I work from home full time, your dog will rarely be alone and will get plenty of supervision, affection, and companionship throughout the day. We have a large single-family home with lots of space to relax. There’s a large fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, as well as a spacious front yard — but please know your dog will never be outside unsupervised. In our home, dogs are family. They’re welcome on the couch and even in the bed for snuggles at night if that’s what they’re used to. My boys love giving extra attention, playtime, and belly rubs — always guided by what your dog is comfortable with. Our family truly adores and respects animals, and we will care for your dog as if they were our own — with patience, structure, affection, and lots of love. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I work from home full time. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and regular potty breaks as often as needed. Your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. We go on at least one walk every day, and I’m happy to adjust the length or pace depending on your dog’s age and energy level. In addition to walks, I incorporate outdoor time, playtime, and plenty of affection into the day. Because I’m already on a steady home schedule, it’s easy for me to maintain feeding times, medication schedules, and any specific routines your dog is used to. When pets stay in my home, they become part of our daily routine and are treated like family. Because I work from home full time, I’m able to provide constant supervision, regular potty breaks, and lots of attention throughout the day. Dogs have access to our large fenced backyard (always supervised) and enjoy at least one daily walk, along with playtime and snuggles. They’re welcome on the couch and even in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I stick closely to each dog’s normal feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions to help them feel comfortable and secure. My goal is always the same: to provide safe, loving, reliable care so both you and your pet feel completely at ease.
About: I have a deep passion for animals and a keen eye for understanding their non-verbal cues. By focusing on the small details and reading their body language, I ensure your pet feels comfortable, secure, and stress-free. Im a stay at home mom. I take my aon to school at 7:20, i would be available directly after that until 1:30 or 2 depending on where you live. Then Im available from 3-7. Every morning I feel my dogs and then walk them around our property. Then, I feed the kitty who is usually meowing loudly at me. Then, I scoop her box. She likes it if I scoop her box several times a day. The dogs are fed twice a day, and walked several times. My Dad or I will walk our younger dog Molly around the neighborhood or on the Appalachian trail. Dinner for the dogs is at 7pm and "last pee" is before bedtime (usually 10).

“Colleen was such an incredible local find to help care for our Bernedoodle, Leia! She was very professional and thorough in our meet and greet - you could tell she truly loves dogs!! We loved the video snippets/photos we received during Leia's first day camp. Leia was very happy and tired when she came home and we look forward to her enjoying many more visits this summer to keep her social and active!”

About: I grew up on a farm with multiple dogs and have been taking care of many animals my whole life. I live in Harpers Ferry and work from home. I am available to walk your furry loved ones multiple times a day. I am very active and love the outdoors. We have a 1 year old, well trained and socialized miniature schnauzer and two older cats who are very dog friendly. We live on a private 1/5 an acre that is just a short walk to the river to splash around in! I often go hiking and running. I’m also known to stay home and read all day. I look forward to caring for your favorite companions! I work from home and am available 24/7 for your furry loved ones! I have lots of time for potty breaks, ball throwing, walks, and snuggles. I have reliable transportation and can easily get around. I am comfortable with crating or not depending on your preference. I treat your furry companions with the all the love and attention you do!

About: I currently work as a caretaker at a dog daycare center, where I care for dogs with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and play styles every day. Whether your dog is super energetic, anxious, older, or just needs a little extra patience and attention, I’m more than comfortable adapting to their needs. I’ve also worked as a farmhand, helping feed and care for animals like chickens and other livestock. I’ve also been around animals my whole life and currently care for a cat, an elderly black lab, and a young hound puppy. I’m a college student hoping to earn extra cash doing something I genuinely love! I treat every animal like one of my best friends and always aim to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Weekdays: Available after 1:30 PM for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. Weekends: Usually fully available for walks, house sitting, overnight stays, and extended care. I’m a Dog Daycare worker during the weekdays, so my services may be limited to the afternoon + evenings from Monday-Friday. With dogs, I’m very patient and comfortable with all personalities, including high-energy, excitable, or anxious dogs. I focus on calm and respectful handling and try to help very anxious dogs feel safe by giving them space, approaching slowly, and using gentle reassurance like calm voice and light petting on their side when appropriate. I pay attention to body language and always aim to build trust rather than pressure them into an interaction. If a dog is acting out, I redirect their attention and follow any training or behavior instructions provided by the owner. With cats, I’m used to reading their behavior and giving them the space or attention they want. I understand that many cats are super independent and are protective about their space, but I also enjoy working with affectionate, social cats. I have experience caring for kittens, including feeding and basic hands-on care, as well as senior cats who may need routine medication or any extra attention.

“Maki and Joel were fantastic with our puppy! I loved the pictures and videos they sent, and also the detailed updates each day. I could tell our little girl was well loved while she was with them.”

“Samantha is truly a gem and cared for my dog like her own. She sent regular pics and videos. My dog felt at ease for 5 days with her. I wholeheartedly recommend her!!”

“Kathryn and her family took great care of our Banjo and he loved romping around with their dogs. In fact, I think we now have to get our dog his own dog. 😆 They kept us updated on how Banjo was doing and I could tell he enjoyed having dog buddies, human siblings, and a large fenced yard for zoomies. Thanks again, Kathryn & family!”

“Abby did a wonderful job watching our dog! We had a meet and greet the week prior that went great, her two dogs are sweet and playful and got along with ours well! I’m not sure our dog wanted to come home she was so happy there!!”

“Our pup Murphy had a fantastic time, I don't think he wanted to come home to our boring house... lol! Christina obviously LOVES dogs (all animals)! and Murphy loved her! Will definitely be using again, maybe on a monthly basis just to give Murphy a mini vacation! Highly recommend!!!”
