“I wanted to take my dogs to Shannon last year, based on her profile alone. She has experience with senior dogs and dogs with disabilities. I can't remember if I didn't take the vacation or she just wasn't available for the dates I needed but, I didn't use her last year. This year, I needed a sitter for 3 nights as I was going out of town. She took care of my little beagle, Buddy and my golden doodle, Toby. I've had both of these dogs for less than 3 months. When I took them to visit her before the vacation, they took to her and her household immediately so I felt very secure leaving them 2 days later when I went on vacation. My niece also left her little Aussie dog with her as well. Shannon sent lots of pictures of the dogs and descriptions of their activities each day! She let us know if they weren't eating and she gave her input and thoughts as to why they were doing or not doing something unusual. She gave me and my niece both peace of mind and that's the number one thing we needed from a dog sitter. We could tell that she loved on our dogs just as if they were her children and we loved it. I'll always be reaching out to her when I'm in need of a sitter for sure!”

About: I have several years of experience with both dogs and cats. The largest dog I've handled was 120 lbs. I'm down to cuddle or go on a walk, whatever your pet needs. I am a college student so I am flexible daily and can come by your house when needed. I am free on weekends and most weeknights. About: In addition to caring for my own dog and cat, I've also helped with my neighbor's dog, and my sister's dogs. I've got a fully fenced in back yard that's almost a full acre. And my german shepherd is incredibly sweet and gentle around other animals. I keep my weekends free so I can hang out with your pet! With school out my 15 year old daughter is home too and is eager to help love on some new pooches. My mother is also home most of the time working, and we are used to loud dog barks! In my home I have a German shepherd upstairs full time and a pit bull mix downstairs in the afternoon. Both are sweet and energetic and love new dogs! My cat does better with people, but she knows how to stay out of dodge when its needed. We do crate our dog when we leave the house but she free roams at night, alternating between the bed and the floor and the couch as she pleases. I would require your dog to be crate trained in case I need to leave the house during a boarding session. In your home, your rule is law. Whether its feeding your cat a carefully measured amount of wet food or keeping the litter box filled exactly half way, your standards are mine and I'm happy to go the extra mile. Likewise for a doggy drop-in to walk and feed. I always pick up after my pet on a walk so your neighbors have nothing to fear from me. And I'm used to reigning in a 90lb German shepherd who wants to make friends with every neighborhood stray cat so you can rest assured that I can keep hold of your dog on a walk.

“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

“Our previous sitter told me they are moving, which prompted me to search for a new sitter. I decided to try Rebecca, and am I glad I did! I was happy with our first sitter, but LuLu spent her time there just sniffing their yard and snuggling up on the couch with the sitter. She barely ate and wouldn't play with their dog. It was such a delight to see how happy LuLu was at Rebecca's place. She ran around the yard like I haven't seen her do since she was a puppy. When Rebecca thought LuLu needed a rest and brought her inside, LuLu whined to go back out, so out she went for more running around! Finally, she took a nap on the couch, then got up and ate all of her dinner. Then she settled down chewing on her toy until we came back for her. She was happy to see us, but gave Rebecca a tail wag when they said goodbye. I'm so glad LuLu found a place where she can thrive when we're gone. Now I won't hesitate to book a vacation! Rebecca was very attentive to the history I gave her about LuLu and my instructions about her routine and fears. We did a Meet & Greet on short notice, and Rebecca showed LuLu and me her back yard and inside her house. She assured me that she would never give LuLu an opportunity to run away. The way Rebecca gave me updates all day long assured me that LuLu was being well cared for and was having a great time. Rebecca is definitely Lulu's new sitter. I couldn't be happier with her care.”

About: I've had a 91 lb labradoodle from puppy to now for about 4 years. I've also been told that my cat adopted me about 1.5 years ago. My dog is a happy go lucky guy who's never met a person or animal he didn't like. My cat is about 15 years old and requires injectable medication twice a day, so nothing scares me when it comes to medication. I've taken care of the odd African Grey Parrot from time to time as well. I take my dog out every morning, lunch time and several times in the evening for walks and play. Our cat needs medicine twice a day that requires an injection so I'm well versed in providing medication and taking care of animals with special needs. My couch and bed are pet friendly. I have a cat tree and a room dedicated for cats. I have multiple beds and pet bed with washable covers that can be used by any pet in my care. I can customize a walking schedule for your pet and can come to your house and watch/walk your dog where they are most comfortable, at home. I have a pet friendly car and as long as your dog is friendly towards other animals I have no problem taking your dog to a park or dog park if that is something you and your dog would be interested in. I am very comfortable giving insulin shots to dogs and giving medicine to most pets, cats that have a hard time accepting medications are open for discussion. About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I could remember. This beginning with family members or neighbors, and eventually turning into one of my favorite hobbies, voulenteering for local animal shelters. I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, and with my time spent volunteering and also with my families own rescue animals, I believe I am a great fit for any dog. My family has a hard time leaving home to travel due to our rescues being not only very bonded to their owner, but perculiar on who they will spend time with. I hope to provide all families a sense of reassurance when needing any extra help! I graduated College in May '25 and am now in the waiting period of hearing back from Law Schools. About: I have experience sitting dogs and cats ages 6 months - 16 years, including overnight house sitting, walking and playing, and regular feedings! I have trained two of my own dogs from puppies, and am very patient with all animals. I am a full time student at James Madison University, so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry friends on weekdays and weekends when not in school! I have a flexible schedule at school and am more than able to drop in for quick potty breaks during the school day as well. If there is not fenced in yard, I keep dogs on a leash at all times to ensure safety. I never allow pets to be near human food unless authorized due to allergies and special accommodations. “Jessica was my lifesaver!!!! I injured my knee and was suddenly unable to walk my dog. She was available on short notice and responded quickly. I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. I had the worst day and I was being so spastic and crazy and she was sooo sweet to me. I am thankful to have found her . My dog absolutely loved her! About: I have grown up with dogs in my home my entire life, big and small, so I am very comfortable bathing, walking, and cleaning up after them! When in college, I dog and cat sat for roommates as well as friends, giving me ample experience with both kinds of animals and their specific needs. I also fostered a very reactive Hound/Saint Bernard mix for about 6 months, which gave me a great experience working with animals that are not as easy to assist. That being said, I loved it and him all the same. Since graduating, I have continued watching many different pets throughout the years. I am freelance writing and in the process of starting a business at this time, therefore, my availability is quite flexible. Whether you’re in need of a long term sitter or temporary services, I am available for either. I am not currently able to accept pets in my home, however, I have now stayed in numerous client spaces. I like to leave the space just as it was when I arrive, if not better, and always ask for a list of rules/restrictions if there ever is any!

“I wanted to take my dogs to Shannon last year, based on her profile alone. She has experience with senior dogs and dogs with disabilities. I can't remember if I didn't take the vacation or she just wasn't available for the dates I needed but, I didn't use her last year. This year, I needed a sitter for 3 nights as I was going out of town. She took care of my little beagle, Buddy and my golden doodle, Toby. I've had both of these dogs for less than 3 months. When I took them to visit her before the vacation, they took to her and her household immediately so I felt very secure leaving them 2 days later when I went on vacation. My niece also left her little Aussie dog with her as well. Shannon sent lots of pictures of the dogs and descriptions of their activities each day! She let us know if they weren't eating and she gave her input and thoughts as to why they were doing or not doing something unusual. She gave me and my niece both peace of mind and that's the number one thing we needed from a dog sitter. We could tell that she loved on our dogs just as if they were her children and we loved it. I'll always be reaching out to her when I'm in need of a sitter for sure!”
“She is so amazing. This was the first time I had to “board” any of my animals. I was nervous beyond words, I meet with her prior and she made me feel at ease. The morning she came to pick up my babies she reassured me they will be fine. I was a wreck, but Samantha would frequently send pics and updated messages. It did comfort me some, but I just wanted to cuddle my babies. Overall, even though I was copete worry wart, she took great care of my babies. I greatly appreciate her for everything she did.”
