About: First of all, my name is Toni. Rover will only accept legally changed names, and I haven’t gotten there yet. But I’m Toni M. and I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness and autism. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. I’ve spent significant time with dogs with anxiety issues as well. I tend to connect with dogs who need a little extra love the most anyway. I do have a job but I’m available for boarding if pet is crate trained. When a pet stays with me we have a routine. Coffee (for me), breakfast, walk. And in the evenings we eat, play, have downtime. I guarantee an hour of exercise a day for your pet as well. My yard is fenced so no chance of escape. I like to play outside with the animals twice a day. Water bowel is always filled and animals are always welcome on my furniture. They’re free to make themselves at home.

I have a happy family of rescue frenchies, a Great Dane, a kunekune pig, goats and even an African Zebu steer. I have previous experience working in veterinary clinics. In my previous life I was a bloodhound search and rescue handler as well. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, large and small dogs, cats and a variety of other critters as well. I think animals are wonderful souls and I treat them all with respect and love. My life, my little farm, my routine and personal schedule revolve around my dogs and other critters. I work from home so my availability is usually quite flexible. I have a nicely fenced yard where dogs can run and play. If a dog is boarding with me, or in daycare, they will have plenty of playtime throughout the day. I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: My grandma has two dogs and a farm with animals that i would take care of. I have Two dogs and always grew up with animals. Babysat for 6 years I just graduated highschool and I love animals and need to make money for college! It’s summer so i can walk dogs whenever and I have a car so distance isn’t a problem! About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. About: I have grown up with my family’s Golden Retriever. My husband and I also have a Golden Retriever. “Ripley underwent some big life changes recently. right after i started up a new job with a long commute, she lost her best (dog) buddy, who she was used to spending her days with. all of this meant Ripley was going to be spending 12+ hour days all alone. But then we met Dana, our Rover dog-walker! Now Ripley gets 30-minute adventures 2-3x a week, complete with photo updates and little synopsis of what went down on the walk. Getting the Rover notification, “Ripley’s been picked up for her walk!” is the highlight of my day. She’s in amazing hands, and I’m one grateful, teary-eyed dog mom. This looks and sounds like a Rover ad, but i’m not getting paid for it. I do highly highly recommend Dana - she is in Staunton. If you’re thinking, “my dog isn’t easy- she can’t be walked by just anyone” - that is exactly what i thought. Dana brings her husband on walks, and he can help manage the strength of a giant breed, (Ripley weighs over 100lbs) Also, if you think that your dog is too skittish to be walked by anyone other than you, I thought the same thing. Dana and her husband weren’t afraid of Ripley’s initial reaction to them. They stuck around for about an hour to wait for her to calm down and they gained her trust. They even introduced Ripley to their kids.”

I have an unfenced yard so any outside play will be leashed or in an enclosure. For additional safety, I keep a few dog crates on hand. They are available for pups that are crate trained, in case I need to separate, or even personal preference! Dogs are den animals so when used correctly, some of them (like ours!) love having a cozy space to relax. *Please note, I never use crates as “punishment” in our home, nor do I believe in or practice discipline of animals. I care for and love every animal the way I’d want my sweet boy loved and cared for.
About: I love all animals! I don’t have any because of my housing rules so I want to take care of your fur babies to get my animal fix! I am extremely flexible and caring. I take instructions well and am a fast learner. I am very observant, I will care for your home and pet like it was my own. I am also skilled in American Sign Language, as I am hard of hearing, and can teach your pet to respond to signs. I am also quick to respond with text in case of emergencies. About: My grandma has two dogs and a farm with animals that i would take care of. I have Two dogs and always grew up with animals. Babysat for 6 years I just graduated highschool and I love animals and need to make money for college! It’s summer so i can walk dogs whenever and I have a car so distance isn’t a problem! About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since childhood and professionally for 5 years. Dogs in my care are loved as if they were my own. We have a friendly one year old English cream who keeps us busy and loves to make new friends. I am currently home full time and available most days to walk or board your fur baby. We take our dog and yours on at least two long walks a day with multiple pee breaks in between. Our English cream, Frankie and his parents will keep your baby company and we’ll cared for. We both work from home and give Frankie lots of love and walks throughout the day. We also do hikes and the beach occasionally on weekends, go to the dog park once a week and have play dates with our neighbors friendly pup.

About: All my life I've loved and cared for animals. Cats, dogs, goats, chickens, cows, fish, you name it. I've got 20+ years of experience. The past 11 years I've discovered my love for bulldogs. I have a happy family of rescue frenchies, a Great Dane, a kunekune pig, goats and even an African Zebu steer. I have previous experience working in veterinary clinics. In my previous life I was a bloodhound search and rescue handler as well. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, large and small dogs, cats and a variety of other critters as well. I work from home so my availability is usually quite flexible. I have a nicely fenced yard where dogs can run and play. If a dog is boarding with me, or in daycare, they will have plenty of playtime throughout the day. When the dogs are done playing and it's time to rest, I have dedicated rooms with comfy crates and playpens. I am very comfortable taking care of senior dogs or those that need a little extra tlc.

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
About: I have taken care of our elderly farm dogs for 2 years and a rambunctious new pup this year who has lots of energy! I have also helped my mom take care of her cats since I was 18. I am currently between jobs so this is perfect . I’m a very active person, I love walking and grounding in nature. It would be great to have some company on these walks!
