She sends frequent updates with photos of your pup, so you can rest assured that they are happy and safe ❤️ Jane requires almost constant human attention and goes outside every 2-3 hours. Rebekah meet all of her needs and more. Her facility is clean, inviting, and pup friendly. Will most definitely be booking again!!”

“Lorena and her family are so great! They treated our Kaci like part of their family. We received almost daily pictures from Lorena showing us how she was doing. They have an amazing property with the best backyard for all the dogs to run and play. And they have their place set up inside to accommodate indoor play or to just rest from playing so much! She came back happy and exhausted! lol Second time with Lorena but certainly not the last.”

She was able to cater to our specific feeding needs, as well as administering medication. We are so lucky to have a puppysitter that treats him with such love and care.”

“Christie was thoughtful and ensured the safety of all of the pets that were in her care the week we boarded our dog. She did meets and greets with the pets and owners so everyone was comfortable. When we dropped our dog off she was excited to be there and couldn't wait to go in. Our dog enjoyed her time at Christie's. Christie provided videos of the dogs playing.”

“Stephanie was wonderful! Took care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay. She looked happy and well taken care of the entire time! Would definitely book with Stephanie again”

“Nathan was great with our Peny and Rocky. Awesome communication. Also, Peny needed medicine applied twice a day for a skin condition and Nathan didn’t have any qualms with applying it and her skin is doing so much better now. I would have no worries leaving my pups with him again. I call them pups but they are both over ten years old. But they both are still my babies to me.”

About: I have many years of pet sitting, up to several pets at a time, including owning many of my own since I was a child. I am patient when meeting new pets, for I understand it may take time to warm up to new people (and other pets!) I’m friendly, and talk to most animals just like they’re humans (lol). I enjoy spending time playing around, going for runs, as well as providing companionship when around pets. We love snuggling in bed over here! I’m not easily intimidated by a shy pet, and will treat them with the same respect and patience as their owners. I have high expectations for my own, so I believe it is only normal and natural to give the same in return for others’ pets so their families are comfortable with who they leave their furry friends with when away. My boy is the friendliest dog ever! He absolutely loves meeting other dogs (and the owners to receive even more affection 🤣). He’s got a lot of energy, which can overwhelm others the first day (he just wants to play!) He is very gentle with small dogs. When meeting others’ on the first day, If they are uncomfortable with his energy level and show they need time to warm up, he immediately backs off and resorts to my side until they are ready. He is very submissive in this sense which is great for no escalation and providing other dogs with the time they need to adjust to a new setting/new friends. I work a full time day job Monday-Friday 8-4, so please be sure prior to requesting services, your pets are able to accept this schedule. I am unfortunately unable to stop in midday as my lunch break does not allow for me to make it very far under 30 minutes. My pets along with the others’ I have boarded have had no issues with a routine working schedule, but every pet has different needs. ❤️ I care for others’ pets like they are my own! It is my duty as a trusted sitter to care for others’ pets in a way they need. I predominantly care for pets in others homes as I have several pets of my own. I do not have any issue with camera systems being in shared spaces to assure families feel safe having someone in their home with their pets.
About: I have owned and taken care of family cats and dogs for 10 years. I've pet sat for friends/family before and given pills/oral medicine when needed. I can walk dogs, and do most of the daily tasks (feeding, litter boxes, etc) your pet needs! I've worked with pets in a professional capacity as a veterinary assistant, so I'm comfortable around all kinds of animals, big and small. I also worked with songbirds for several years while at university and can handle, feed, and care for them. Your pet will be happy and safe in my hands and you can rest easy while away from home! When I'm a clients home I take care to ensure everything is left better than how I found it. I keep everything clean and tidy. Your pet deserves the best care. I am taking the summer off before graduate school so I have a relatively open schedule for walks, drop in visits, etc. Just chat with me to set up a time or schedule that will work best with me!
“Keitha did an amazing job watching our cat. He was comfortable around her to come out to play and be pet which is a good sign to me. I definitely recommend booking with her!”

About: Hey! I’m Kaitlynn, I have 7 years of experience with animals. I was on rover a few years ago for 5-6 years and took a break after I had kids. I have worked with a travel vet for 2 years (before kids) and dog grooming! My love for animals hasn’t changed, I’m recently new to Rover again because I love working with animals and would love to start to get out there again. I give updates often and will have plenty of photos to share with you! My dogs are super friendly to all animals as they lived on a farm before. I’m hoping to help families while providing for mine:) Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I own my own business and work for myself, which gives me the flexibility to prioritize animals throughout the day. I can easily build my schedule around feeding, walks, playtime, and check-ins without rushing or being tied to a strict 9–5 job. Caring for pets blends perfectly with my active, hands-on lifestyle, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my routine while I manage my business responsibilities. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where they can relax and feel comfortable. I make sure they get plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and any feeding or medication schedules are followed closely. I also have two friendly dogs of my own who are very social and do well with other animals, which can be great for pets that enjoy companionship. In a client’s home, I follow their routine exactly to help pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I respect their space, keep everything clean and consistent, and make sure pets receive the same level of care, love, and attention they would get from their owner.
About: I’m a healthcare worker who loves pets! We had 2 Shetland sheepdogs growing up. I have raised 2 chihuahua puppies, and one needed multiple eye surgeries and follow up care. I have consistently sat for and walked friends dogs (multiple at a time). I have taken in a neighbors cats for months after an emergent situation, and my family members have cats a well. No pet too big or too small! I love them all :) I am currently working part time 2-4 days a week so I will have a lot of time to care for your pets! On my off days I’m available any time, especially day time. I can meet your pet care needs! At home we have an open field but also a fenced in area and two small dogs which can play or be separate. I can follow your schedule as far as potty and walks and am able to walk long distances and play! I know some kiddos can be picky eaters like mine so I will happily embrace your pets quirks! No request is too strange and I will not have any problem respecting you or your pets routine.

“Madison took great care of my cats while we were gone. She even went above and beyond when one wasn't well, calling and offering to help in any way. Highly recommend her!”

“April is very easy to get along with and gave excellent care to our cat Miss Pepper. April sent me pictures of our feline at each visit and informed me of package deliveries. Upon my request she checked the water taps drip to ensure the water doesn’t freeze. I highly recommend her.”

“Nathan was awesome! We were moving and our cats were supposed to be picked up by a pet transporter, but they were delayed. Nathan was able to watch our 3 cats and regularly send us pictures and updates. He helped us out at the last minute.”

About: Hi! I'm Reis, a dependable and active animal lover with both professional and personal pet care experience. I previously worked at a dog boarding facility where I supervised doggie daycare, monitored group play, and helped ensure dogs stayed safe, happy, and well cared for throughout the day. This experience taught me how to work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels. In addition to my professional experience, I have provided overnight house-sitting and pet-sitting services, caring for pets in their own homes and maintaining their regular routines while their owners were away. I understand how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and secure, and I strive to provide attentive, loving care that gives both pets and owners peace of mind. As someone with an active lifestyle, I enjoy spending time outdoors and can provide plenty of exercise, walks, playtime, and companionship. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a weekend sitter, or just some extra attention during the day, I'll treat them with the same care and respect I would give my own. I currently work a part-time job that allows me to have a lot of flexibility. I am able to work in all of Richmond and surrounding areas as well. When caring for pets in a client's home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Through my experience working at a dog daycare facility, overnight house-sitting, and caring for both a senior dog and a young dog of my own, I've learned that every pet has different needs and energy levels. Whether your pet prefers a relaxed walk and extra patience or lots of activity and play, I'll make sure they receive personalized care and feel safe, happy, and loved.

“Tio was happy and ready for a nap after spending a day with Toni, Duke and Anna and I could not have been happier. This was my first time leaving Tio with a sitter so needless to say I was very anxious about how he would do. I highly recommend Toni if you have a need for a great caregiver for your four legged babies.”

I have a very spacious backyard for dogs to play in and live on a very quiet street. I have a sweet, loyal senior pup who has a very calm demeanor and is extremely friendly who can keep your dog company as well!
About: I was raised with dogs (shelties, primarily) and now have a hobby farm with goats, dogs (german shepherds, a lab and a sheltie), ducks and a cat. I'm reliable and friendly and happy to follow whatever instruction and routine you need. Your pets will be well cared for and you'll receive plenty of photo updates while you're gone! I have a very flexible schedule, so I am able to accommodate nearly any routine your pet is used to, including frequent walks and potty breaks. I will work with you to keep your pet's schedule as close to what they are used to as possible. If boarding in my home, we have a fenced yard, plenty of area to go on leashed walks, and they will get plenty of one on one attention and care. I'm happy to do transport or add in a bath during your pet's stay so your life can be as simple as possible while you're trying to get out the door for your trip. Pet care is my full time job and priority. I can adapt as needed to make sure your pet keeps the routine they are comfortable with, even when you aren’t home. I will ask questions and take notes on your pets’ routine and then do my best to ensure that those habits are in place with me.
“Janie made me feel at ease while on my vacation. She walked and played fetch with my dogs. I have two very large German shepherds (very friendly) and she was not intimidated and handled them like a pro. She also checked in on my other animals even though she didn't have too.”

“It was a pleasure to meet Morgan. Obi and Luna just love her and I’m very comfortable with her taking care of my furbabies. Morgan will definitely be a part of our “doggy care team”.”

With over six years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to the care of your beloved pets. My background ensures that I am well-equipped to handle any situation with calm and confidence. In addition to my professional experience, I have been an active volunteer and foster for a local dog rescue organization for the past five years. During this time, I have fostered over 70 rescue dogs, providing them with the love, care, and stability they need to thrive and find their forever homes. As someone who works from home, pet care is seamlessly integrated into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent and attentive care to each pet throughout the day. Here’s a glimpse of how pet care fits into my daily life: Morning Routine: Early Walks: I start the day with early morning walks or playtime in the yard, ensuring that pets get their first burst of energy out and start their day on a positive note. Feeding Time: After exercise, it’s breakfast time. I follow each pet’s specific dietary needs and ensure they have fresh water. Midday Routine: Interactive Play: Mid-morning, I take breaks from work to engage in interactive play sessions or training exercises, stimulating both their minds and bodies. Potty Breaks: Regular potty breaks are scheduled to keep pets comfortable and maintain a routine. Afternoon Routine: Exercise & Walks: Another round of exercise or a walk in the afternoon keeps pets active and happy. For those staying at my home, this might include a visit to a local park or a playdate with other friendly pets. Quiet Time: Pets also enjoy some quiet time while I focus on work, with cozy spaces available for napping and relaxation. Evening Routine: Dinner Time: As the workday winds down, it’s time for their evening meal. I maintain their feeding schedules and monitor their intake. Evening Walks & Play: We finish the day with another walk or play session, ensuring they are tired and content for the night. Nightly Routine: Before bed, I provide another potty break and some final cuddles or quiet time to help them settle in for a restful night. Weekend Routine: Extra Attention: Weekends often include extra activities like longer walks, visits to pet-friendly places, or more extended play sessions to make the most of the extra time. Working from home allows me to be present and responsive to the needs of each pet, ensuring they receive the care, attention, and love they deserve throughout the day. This routine provides a balanced blend of work and pet care, creating a harmonious and happy environment for everyone. She came back happy and exhausted! lol Second time with Lorena but certainly not the last.”

“Charissa has been so wonderful for our family… truly a lifesaver!!! We just brought our golden doodle home today after she spent three weeks with Charissa at her board and train program. She has learned so much ( and we have too)! Having three dogs was a challenge for us and we were having some behavior issues with Sophie ( our 2 year old doodle). Charissa has given us a solid foundation of training and new skills so that all of our dogs are happy, healthy, and CALMER! Charissa is incredibly patient and supportive - I recommend her as a dog trainer and boarder ? and will continue working with her in the future!”

“Tiffany and David and their family were so sweet and took such great care of my high energy pup. They had great communication and kept me updated. They even went out of their way to return something I forgot to take back during pick up. Would use Tiffany and David again in the future if needed.”
