About: I LOVE CATS. Every cat I’ve ever seen, I’ve fallen in love with, even the ones that don’t love me back (they know who they are). I’ve had cats my whole life, I simply can’t imagine life without them. My current living situation only allows two pets, and I’ve hit my limit, so I love having any opportunity watching other people’s cats!! About: I've always had a love for animals and love working with them! I've grown up with dogs and love to be around them. My mom used to breed labs and I would help her socialize and take care of the puppies to prepare them for their new homes! My family always had at least six dogs at a time that I would help take care of as well! I also used to work for a kennel for almost two years, I have worked for a doggie daycare as well for about 2 years! About: Hello all! I’d love to help you with your pet care needs. I have had pets most of my life, and am the current owner of a 3 year old chihuahua mix, and an 12 year old chocolate point siamese. I started using Rover over the summer a few years ago and have had so many amazing clients! It has also been a great experience when it comes to socializing my young pup. Before using Rover, I took care of family members pets and would find my own boarding, dog walking and drop in clients. I currently do pet sitting in addition to my full time job. I work for a high school so I get plenty of dates off including winter, spring and summer breaks. During these times I’d be home full time. Otherwise, Monday-Friday I care for the dogs when I wake up, go to work, come home and continue their care. That’s pretty much all I do. I have a fenced yard that gives my boarders (as well as my pup) plenty of room to run and play! Boarders stay on the main level of my house and are allowed on furniture, unless discouraged by owners. You are more than welcome to bring anything you think would make your pet more comfortable during their stay (ex. Beds, crates, favor toys or treats). If you crate your dog/s at night or while no one is home, I will do the same. I work full time but can balance your pets needs with my schedule. They will have a morning routine of going outside to potty and eating before I head to work. I often leave a tv on for them and I also have cameras to keep an eye on them while away. When I return home, they will have free roam from being inside to going out to the fenced yard to play and explore whenever they would like. I’ll feed again in the evenings (based on your feeding instruction of course) and eventually tuck them in for bed. :) For boarding, your pet will have access to my fenced in backyard where they can play and explore. When I’m away from the house, I can crate your pet upon your request. I leave it up to the owner! Your pet will be boarded on my main level. I NEVER leave pets outside and unattended while away from the house.

We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. We only have a pet bunny, so we built her a hutch that has little side doors and a top that opens up and you can reach her. I am looking for part time work and this would be a great opportunity to utilize my free time and my love for canines and kitties. I have three cats that are basically like my children, but I adore dogs and would love the opportunity to interact with them daily or weekly. I have free time on my work from home days as well as weekends to assist other dog/cat owners. I do not have a fenced yard, but I live in a community that has a lot of pathways and green space. Within my apartment, I can keep my cats separate if needed but happy to let the dogs explore and get comfy in my space. I am very courteous of other people's space and preferences.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every shape and size since I was born. I was an infant cuddling with our massive doberman! My friends, family, and neighbors always knew they had a reliable pet sitter as long as I was around. I also ran on Harrisonburg Rescue Squad as an EMT for about 2 years, which has taught me excellent hard and soft skills in the case of an emergency. I’m working part time right now, so I’m able to spend as much time as needed with your lovely pooches (or other animals)! I mostly work nights on the weekends, but am able to adapt my schedule, if needed. :) I absolutely respect a given owner’s rules for their pets. In my own home, we raised our pit bull to listen and be intentional, and he is an amazing boy. In my client’s homes, I will treat their animals with the utmost respect, while enforcing the necessary house rules. I am a college student with a lot of free time. My evenings are free and I have a lot of gaps during the day! I would love to get out on walks with dogs in my gaps. I have my own dog to keep yours company if that is something you would like. If not, he can stay with his other mama when your pup is over!
