About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.

About: I’ve been walking dogs and doing check ins for family pets since middle school! I am currently a pre-vet student at JMU, but I spend my summers home in Earlysville. I would say this has been a “serious” job of mine since I started highschool. I’ve spent a few days a week for the past few summers pet sitting. I’m new to the app because I’ve been so lucky to have a lot of regular clients, and was then recommended to their friends. I’m just trying to expand my client pool as much as possible:) I have 3 dogs of my own, and one of them lives with me in my college apartment. I’ve had dogs all my life, but I also currently shadow at a vets office, work with the animal health team at the RHSPCA, and volunteer at the VA wildlife center. I absolutely love all animals and would be thrilled to meet new furry friends! I will be shadowing at the vet 3 days a week, but only until 1pm. On those days I am free in the afternoon to check on your pets! Most weekends, along with days I am not doing that, I can set aside time to come see your pets:) I will readily follow whatever instructions you may have. I am used to taking dogs on walks, but also fine with just letting them out in your yard and chilling on the couch. Whatever you and your pet need, I’m sure we can make it work:)

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. Throughout middle/high school, I volunteered with our local SPCA and was able to gain more experience in learning different traits and behaviors of dogs. During this time, I assisted with a program that allowed members of the community to come in and learn more about dog training; this allowed me to gain greater experience into the proper ways to train a dog. Throughout my time in undergrad, I frequently dog sat/walked for the residents and attendings at our academic hospital. I have worked with dogs of all ages and sizes, who have had variable care and medical needs. Currently my family (my parents) has three rescues at home. They are my favorites (obviously haha) and you can find Apollo dressed up many times in the pictures up here! The dogs live with them though in a different state (that’s why i clicked no on « do you have any pets). I’m currently a preparing to start my first semester as a full-time grad student; however once the semester begins, my schedule remains highly flexible and will allow me time to engage in pet care! I have a lot of availability on the weekends, but also plenty of time during the weekdays to fit in a walk or to pet sit. While I do believe that socialization is an important part of a pet’s life and development, during my time with them, we will remain to ourselves and avoid interactions with other animals (unless you would like them to engage in that manner). Safety for everyone is one of the most important components to caring for pets, so if you have any rules in place (i.e. crating or off limit areas), I am more than happy to ensure they are followed during our time. One of my former pet parents (and friends) was a certified dog trainer, so I have a lot of experience in adapting to your pet’s lifestyle and giving them the enrichment they need, in a safe manner :)

“Angel seemed very happy to stay with Indira for a week. Indira was flexible and accommodating with my work travel and her place was clean, organized, and a good calm space for my pup. She reached out when Angel was having a hard time and was able to resolve the issue quickly with some feedback. Would definitely use her again.”
