Bonnie doesn't get along with many other dogs, so when her stay overlapped with another dog that was there for a couple days before her, Gabby immediately let us know and was prepared to keep them separated. Gabby gave us frequent updates and pictures that helped reassure us that she was doing well. All of the instructions I left for her feeding were followed exactly as well. About: ● I've had cats in my family ever since I was a small child! Currently, I have 2 cats living with me named Mozzarella and Maeve! Mozzarella is a calico-tuxedo, and Maeve is a black domestic long-hair! Both of them are rescues/adopted! My other cat, Jasper, is a 16 year old rescued stray my grandparents found as a kitten! ● In the past, I've pet-sat for a couple who had three cats, among multiple other animals. The cats were very skittish and only came out when I refilled their bowls. I only let them come to me if they were comfortable enough. ● I've also volunteered for the adoption place at my job to help clean and take care of the strays!

About: I have had animals all my life. Currently I have a 9 year old Jack Russel/Corgi mix and a 2 year old tuxedo cat. I started taking care of animals outside of my own home in my early teenage years. I've taken care of wide variety of animals including dogs of all ages as well as dogs with specific medical needs. I have also taken care of a variety of other animals such as cats, horses, donkeys and chickens. I'm currently employed during the mornings but I am available in the evenings and nights as well as all day Sunday to care for your fur babies! “Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. I've helped raise dogs from 6 weeks to 16 years old. The young and the old need a little more attention and I'm happy to help. Those terrible 2's just need extra attention, and I'm happy to provide that too! I love all animals and will probably treat the kids like royalty. I prefer the company of dogs than my friends, they could vouch for that! I'm both loving and also stern because I've raised both labs and pitties. They require different types of parenting techniques, and I am equipped to handle anything. I work full time, Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. I'm happy to use my work breaks to check on animals for those who need the extra attention. My availability will be based around my work and my 2 kiddos at home. I can adjust weekly routines to incorporate pickup/drop offs, stop in visits, after work walks, or overnight stays. I treat dogs like they are our kids. I talk to them, I cuddle with them, and I use positive reinforcement to train good habits. I've helped raise a dozen dogs and each dog likes to show you how they like to be treated. I learned this lesson the hard way when I was raising dogs and had to learn different techniques to train each of them individually. Labs learn and function much different than bulldogs and pitbulls. I treat each dog the same regardless of size or attitude. Though I may give them some attitude when mouth off, like I do with my pitty at home (lol). I'm a safety first kind of person when it comes to our kids. So I tend to lean on the side of caution and extra equipment when interacting with most dogs. I always keep extra dogs supplies in my truck at all times as I have been known to that guy who stops traffic to try to rescue a dog. I've done this probably 6 or 7 times.

I have loved animals since I was young, and I volunteered for a pet shelter in the summer when I was younger. “If you're ever looking for a place for your fur kids to stay while you go out of town, I highly recommend Laura. I have 2 neurotic cats; 1 has CH that does not like getting confined in crates/small place and the other is spicy/moody. The stay was short with a (somewhat) unusual request, but Laura took them all in stride and went the extra mile to look after Sam and Cloud. Definitely one of my best rover experience and would not hesitate to ask her again in the future.”
“Gabby took great care of my Bonnie girl while we were away on vacation. She asked good questions during our meet and greet. I am so glad that she was willing to have Bonnie as the only dog in the house for the majority of the 2 weeks we were away. Bonnie doesn't get along with many other dogs, so when her stay overlapped with another dog that was there for a couple days before her, Gabby immediately let us know and was prepared to keep them separated. Gabby gave us frequent updates and pictures that helped reassure us that she was doing well. All of the instructions I left for her feeding were followed exactly as well. I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that Bonnie was being taken care of as if I were there myself.”

“First time visiting Northern VA, and we wanted to do some exploring in Washington DC for Memorial Day weekend. Nervous about having to leave our dogs in the hotel while we went out… we decided to give Rover a try and find a sitter! So glad we did! Upon meeting Katherine, I knew right away our two furbabies would be in the best of hands! We never once had a single worry while away! Perfect environment for our beagle and lab to explore and they enjoyed their other playmates too, because they are both wore out from their fun-filled weekend!
